Goldthorne Lodge

Our accommodation was great, it literally had everything we needed, it was comfy, clean and very well stocked with everything to make our stay a great one.

The furnishing, shower and kitchen were high quality and outdoor patio with spa is the perfect place to unwind and relax, this property is also very quiet and secluded for a totally relaxing holiday.

We had a great family Easter weekend at the Lodge.

Wonderful lodge!

We had a fabulous time, super clean and comfortable and the hot tub was fabulous after a hike. Very relaxing and tranquil scenery. Perfect location for a good walk up Clee hill. Shame no dogs allowed as such an amazing place for dog walks. But totally understandable you don't want muddy paw prints in such a beautiful lodge.

Me and my wife desperately needed a get away from the stress of city life and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place.

It was set in such a quaint little village that had lovely pubs for lunch. The Pheasants food is unreal. The Lodge was amazing and as clean as you could possibly hope for. Arrival was as smooth as could be as they left a key out for us and upon entering they had left us wine, muffins and all the little essentials you would usually forget to bring. The host Steve was great we didn't even see him unless we had a problem in which he was straight down to help (I couldn't connect to the speaker in the hottub) we will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend it for any one looking for a peaceful romantic getaway thats not on a place with other lodges or people

Goldthorne lodge was the perfect getaway for a peaceful relaxing stay.

The owners were welcoming and at hand if you needed them. The lodge was lovely clean and well equipped, with the bonus of the hot tub. Well worth a stay for a relaxing break in the countryside

The lodge had everything you could need, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Hot tub was lovely after long walks exploring the area and a walk up Clee Hill. Would highly recommend this lodge.

Great little gem of a place.

Super well decorated and done to quite high standards. Plenty of space for a cottage and a nice and big hot tube. It is in a remote place, which makes it a very quiet place but also be prepared to drive 10~20 minutes to reach anywhere (not a problem at all, but be advised!) Owners are just next door, and were super welcoming and sympathetic. Really enjoyed the place and do recommend it!

We were a group of four ladies that wanted a quiet retreat, and we got just that , the lodge was just lovely and the hot tub was great extra.

Steve the owner was so accommodating, he brought us duck eggs , butter, bread, and much more. He couldn’t have made our stay any better.

Lovely clean lodge, beautifully furnished, hot tub fantastic and really well maintained.

Steve (owner) was a very welcoming and friendly fella - couldn’t do enough for you, he offered to go to the shop for us while he was going for himself, and he also brought us fresh duck eggs from his farm. He also offered to dry our laundry instead of having it on the maiden. Only thing I would say is in regards to doing laundry you could put a rotary outdoor airer on the grass area so guests could peg washing out when nice weather. Other than that it was a fantastic Easter break and we look forward to returning! Thanks again:)

This well furnished, modern and spotlessly clean Lodge is situated in an oasis of peace, quiet, calm and privacy and surrounded by lovely countryside.

There are adequate kitchen utensils, bedding and towels. We were greeted with a very generous "welcome pack". The owner is very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for him. The hot tub is also very clean and well maintained. We were blessed to have four sunny days but when temperatures dropped at night the lodge was warm and cosy. We would certainly recommend and look to going again at some point.

The lodge had absolutely everything you could need and more.

Everything is really good quality and whilst it looked a little on the small side on the pictures it had plenty of room for us as a family of 4 with two young boys. The hot tub was a welcome treat after a day out exploring! Owners very welcoming and a lovely welcome gift too, would definitely book again.

Goldthorn lodge was an amazing find.

The lodge its self is beautiful with everything to a high standard. Everything you could need during your stay and the attention to detail is fantastic. We had welcome goodies left for us which were great and on our first morning Steve came and gave us fresh duck eggs., which were gorgeous. The hot tub was why we originally booked it and it didn't disappoint. It was lovely to lay there and look at the beautiful stary sky. All in all we had a brilliant stay and would definitely return.

Superb place.

Really clean, modern and secluded. We enjoyed our stay here, the hot tub amazing. If you are into your star gazing a clear night you see everything. Plenty of places to walk around the area and local pubs are only 5 miles way. We highly recommend this place and are looking to book again next year.. Thanks Craig and Ash

Absolutely beautiful stay, so clean and welcoming from the minute you arrive. Owners are more than happy to give you extra towels or any requests. Worth every penny. Hot tub is an added bonus to make your stay even more luxurious. Thank you for having us we can’t wait to book again

It was extremely well kitted out, and very, very clean. As a disabled person, it was great to find all the doors are sliding. Such a lovely find.

We absolutely loved our stay at Goldthorne lodge , will and Lisa were amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome with their friendly hospitality.

We arrived to find a lovely welcome package which included fresh duck eggs that there ducks had laid and a range of breakfast bits and goodies. The lodge had everything we could have needed to ensure we had a great stay. The lodge was spotless and well equipped with the latest modcons . The hot tub was out of this world and completely relaxed myself and my partner. Sitting in the hot tub and taking in all of the views was just so tranquil, just what we needed ! we cannot wait to come back again soon !
