    “We had the most wonderful stay at The Oak Hut in Shropshire.”

    From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home from home. The hut itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing break. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub – perfect for unwinding while enjoying the peaceful rural surroundings.     From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home from home. The hut itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing break. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub – perfect for unwinding while enjoying the peaceful rural surroundings. The setting is so private and tranquil that it really feels like a hidden paradise tucked away in the countryside. Paul and Jan are excellent hosts who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. They are warm, welcoming, and clearly take great pride in making guests feel comfortable. We also loved the large, very safe dog-friendly field, which was ideal for letting our dog run freely and enjoy the space. It made the stay even more special knowing our dog was just as happy as we were. The location is fantastic too, with so many lovely places to visit in the surrounding area, yet it still feels wonderfully secluded and rural. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with comfort, cleanliness, and truly thoughtful hosts, The Oak Hut is the perfect place. We can’t wait to return!

Located in the rural village of Coton near Whitchurch, Shropshire, lies this charming shepherd’s hut, The Oak Hut.

Enveloped by stunning countryside views with a private fishing lake, this holiday home makes a fantastic base for couples looking to visit Shropshire and has pet-friendly features.

Inside the studio, you’ll find a well-presented open-plan living space with a fully-fitted kitchen, dining area which seats up to two, and a double bed with Smart TV, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the local area.

The property has WiFi and underfloor heating throughout, perfect for those colder months.

Outside, you will find an enclosed front garden patio with furniture, and a private fishing lake where you can enjoy fishing in the well stocked coarse fishing pool, as well as panoramic meadow views.

Ellesmere 13 miles; Chester 21 miles.

Known as Mediolanum in Roman times, today this delightful market town has many splendid buildings, from Medieval, Tudor and Georgian times, all dominated by St. Alkmund’s Church. Internationally renowned for its clock production dating back to the 1650s, Whitchurch is known as "the Home of Tower Clocks". There are many excellent shops, pubs and restaurants in the town which is perfectly placed for touring all of Shropshire, North Wales and Cheshire. Close by are attractions such as Ellesmere with its beautiful lakes, a variety of National Trust mansions and gardens, Chester’s wonderful shops and zoo, Hawkstone Follies, the Ironbridge Gorge museums and lovely Shrewsbury with its medieval architecture and riverside walks.
