“The place has an excellent location, the views are wonderful, and it's clean and modern.”

Although it's not cozy, it lacks character and comfort; it's clear the owner isn't paying attention to that. The only frying pan in the kitchen is rusty, there are board games but many are in poor condition, and most of the dishes and kitchen accessories are a jumble of dozens of things that seem to have been left behind by previous guests. The Wi-Fi is extremely slow and unstable, to the point that you can't stream anything without multiple freezes. The first few nights, we ran out of hot water ...

The first few nights, we ran out of hot water when four of us took showers, even though the house is theoretically for six people. The last few days, we managed to get each of us to shower for less than 3 to 4 minutes to ensure we had enough hot water. The owner intended to look into it, but we never received a concrete response or a solution. The TV cannot be viewed during the day because it's in front of the window, which reflects the light and makes it impossible to see the image, and there are no curtains. There's nothing to clean the house with, no vacuum cleaner or anything, just an old broom. It's clear the owner hasn't used the house because there are obvious things that are noticeable from day one, and as he himself mentioned, he hasn't visited his house in 3 years.

What absolute nonsense! We stay in our lodge several times a year ! There is nothing wrong with the hot water, we responded to you immediately and sent an engineer who confirmed there was nothing wrong with the water cylinder , if there is only one frying pan then unfortunately the others have been removed by other guests which is not uncommon, if you had looked there is a brand new Shark hoover in the first bedroom cupboard ! As for crockery etc ? What we have there are sets of crockery bought for the lodge , again crockery gets broken and guests also leave their plates etc by mistake so yes there will be a mixture cutlery and crockery , I find your review quite offensive and not anywhere near the truth , Al I can say is we have a five star rating for a reason , Property Owner

About the location

ABERFELDY

Pitlochry 14 miles; Perth 31 miles.

The market town of Aberfeldy stands on the River Tay amidst beautiful scenery in rural Perthshire. Famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy, and also the bridge built for General Wade in 1733, Aberfeldy is just south of Glen Lyon, known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. There is much to attract the visitor in addition to the spectacular scenery. There is a 10 mile riverside walk for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as numerous paths through forest and countryside. In addition, Aberfeldy is on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7. Whitewater rafting on the River Tay is an exhilarating way to enjoy the scenery. Castle Menzies is a wonderful 16th century castle, now fully restored and open to visitors. Take a distillery tour at Dewar’s World of Whisky on the edge of town. Sample the many bars, restaurants and cafes in the town and explore the galleries and craft shops, including the Scottish Chocolate Centre. The Scottish Crannog Centre offers a glimpse into Iron Age life and Loch Tay offers a multitude of watersports, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are on your doorstep. An hours drive brings you to 30 Munros, just waiting to be 'bagged'!
