Lodge 2 - Inglewood Lodge

We all loved it.

The view was fantastic and every thing needed was in the lodge including dishwasher and reed diffusers, barbecue tools. There were even coffee pods. Easy travelling to Fort William, Fort Augustus and Spean Bridge. We met the owner, Mark and his dog, Lula and they are both lovely too

We stayed for 3 Nights, the lodge is beautiful and the setting is fabulous, I’d say best view on the site.

Upon arrival, there are little extras that make the difference, nice biscuits and coffee, toiletries in the bathrooms, cleaning essentials , we have a small dog and there was a lovely welcome pack for him which was really appreciated, the lodge is bright and very clean and so comfortable. Definitely an added bonus that the owner stays in the lodge next door, he welcomed us and also wanted to ensure we had everything we needed and he’s a great resource for any questions we had. We used the lodge as a base to travel and it was perfect after a long day to return to the comfort of the lodge, weather was amazing and we ate outside in the glorious sunshine, We would highly recommend this lodge and would definitely return again . Thank you for having us.

Some might require a little Internet but I did not miss it. Location fantastic brilliant base to explore the area . Brilliant fishing locally, Mark the host is a valuable mine of information on ALL local fishing. Our two weeks we're the most relaxing two weeks we have had in a long time. We will be back. Situated on the side of Loch Oich, beautiful view.

Very convenient to lots of attractions, lock ness cruise, Urquhart castle, fort Augustus and many more. Been to the Highlands many times, absolutely worth going. Depending on weather, best take spray for midges, also, wifi in building is poor. Otherwise, wonderful break and place to stay. Owners very welcoming, very dog friendly

We've just stayed at Inglewood Lodge for our third time.

The reason we keep returning is its excellent location for visiting so many areas along the west coast of Scotland including from Oban (enabling ferries over to Isle of Mull) right up to Inverness and beyond and also the Isle of Skye and the Nevis Range and Cairngorms to name some of them. The Lodge has everything you need for a really enjoyable and comfortable stay but it's best point has to be it's spectacular setting with huge patio doors looking out over a few metres of grass and then continue across Loch Oich with mountains on either side. The sunrise/sunsets with these views are amazing. Everything we needed in the Lodge was provided but if you do have any questions the owner is in the next lodge and will help with any directions/questions about anything/where in the area. We took our two dogs who once again felt at home straight away with everything provided for them too. Can't recommend staying here highly enough and we will no doubt return again.

Inglewood Lodge was absolutely beautiful!

We loved our stay, the Lodge was so clean and comfortable. It was beautiful to wake up in the morning to the beautiful view of the loch and on two occasions while having our morning cuppa we saw a deer walking passed the lodge,it was amazing to see. Thank you very much to the owner for making our 2 dogs feel welcome, with a basket of treats and toys, our 2 dogs really enjoyed there stay.

Ingelwood Lodge was fantastic.

Set in an idealic location for visiting father North or South of the Highlands, though you don't really need too, as there are some lovely walks within the area along Loch Oich. The lodge its self was warm and clean. Cooking facilities were excellent. WiFi connectivity was intermittent but not an issue for me. Water quality is an issue in this area. However the owner provided plenty of bottled water. Though it might have been better to let me know in advance so I could have bought more water before I arrived. The really nice touch was my dogs welcome pack, which I truly appreciated. To sum it up. We had the best time and I will definitely be back in the spring. Perfect location and perfect lodge.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Inglewood Lodge.

Nice comfy and cosy lodge within beautiful & peaceful surroundings and a braw view of the Loch. Place was spotless when we arrived and the nice wee touch of the Borders Biscuits on the bed just added to the mood (it's wee things like that make the difference) Our wee pooch, Luna settled in nicely as well and the wee doggy basket was brilliant, with treats, a Heilan Coo toy (which she loved) and other amenities available for her. Again, it's wee things like this that, well you know what I mean. Anyhoo, to sum it up Fabby wee stay at a fabby wee place. The ideal base for exploring the area and beyond.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this lodge, perfectly nestled beside the Loch with stunning views and a serene atmosphere.

It was incredibly peaceful—just what we needed for a relaxing escape. We barely saw another soul during our visit, which added to the sense of tranquility. The area around the lodge was tidy and well-kept, and we especially loved the long-distance footpath at the back of the site. It was ideal for scenic walks with our dogs, who also had a fantastic time exploring both the grounds and the Loch side. The lodge itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The thoughtful touches for our dogs, like the basket with a towel, blanket, bowl, and treats, were especially appreciated. The torch came in handy too, as it gets very dark at night. While the lodge has a slightly dated charm, it’s clearly well maintained and warmed up quickly when we arrived. We did notice a little dust and a few cobwebs behind some furniture, and we had a brief visit from two mice, but they were swiftly dealt with and didn’t affect our enjoyment. The lodge runs on a private water supply with a “do not drink” notice, but bottled water was generously provided. Since the nearest supermarket is a bit of a drive, it’s worth bringing a few essentials with you. We arrived during daylight, which made finding the lodge easy—though it might be trickier in the dark, so planning ahead is wise. All in all, the combination of location, comfort, and peaceful surroundings made for a truly memorable experience. We’d be delighted to return.

My lad Alfie and myself had an absolutely fantastic stay here.

The lodge itself was everything we could have asked for and an excellent base for us. The owner Mark was very helpful and knowledgeable with information about the area and the fishing that we wanted to do, and Lu the staffy was adorable. We will definitely be returning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone wishing to visit the area.

Stayed here for our second time.

The location is excellent as it enables easy travelling to the Isle of Skye, Inverness, Fort William, Fort Augustus, Oban and many other places too. We also took the ferry over to the Isle of Mull for a day trip - we had enjoyed a cruise on Loch Ness during our last visit to the Lodge. Spending time at the Lodge is something to leave time for as its huge patio doors give a wonderful open view over the Loch which is just a few steps from the Lodge. Inside the Lodge it has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area which gives a view outside over to the loch all of the time. The bedrooms were comfortable with the double having an en-suite shower with a bathroom directly opposite the 2nd twin bedroom. The lodge was well cleaned with plenty of lovely fluffy towels for the bathroom. We had two Frenchie dogs and they had towels, blankets, treats and feeding bowls provided by the owner. The dogs absolutely loved the space outside but keep them on a lead as the Loch is very close to the lodge. All in all we have no hesitation to recommend this as somewhere to enjoy a holiday in the Scottish Highlands. The owner, Mark, was very helpful so any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Lovely touch leaving the treats for the dogs, made us feel so welcome.

The property was well equipped and maintained and in a lovely setting.

What was very disappointing that there was no onsite facilities of water sports and bar restaurant as these were all shut down. ( Not your fault) meaning we had to travel everywhere to dine out.

Lovely quiet break, lodge is located in a beautiful setting.

The site is obviously in a state of change and the run down “ Hamish Restaurant/Bar” is a shame. However the lodge was very clean and well equipped with no issues found during our stay. We would definitely return as location for exploring Highlands is perfect

Absolutely loved our stay.

Everything was excellent. There was nothing you hadn't thought of. We especially liked the dog basket, it was a lovely touch and made our dog Toby feel very welcome.

A well appointed cottage, quiet and warm.

Had everything I needed for a weeks get away, a great base for exploring. I have stayed here before in one of the other cottages and would definitely love to stay here again, it is a very peaceful place right next to Loch Oich.

Lodge was great plenty of room and comfortable only downside was it could do with warming up a bit before arrival

This is a stunning location, looking through the patio doors to the loch which is about 50 mtrs over a grassy area at the back of the lodge.

The lodge layout is an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge which benefits from the view though the patio doors. Everything that we needed was provided in the lodge. The owner lives in the next lodge and was really helpful with details of any places in the area. We're already planning to stay again.

Absolutely gorgeous lodge and gorgeous scenery on the loch.

We stayed for my partners birthday and to hike Ben Nevis. I had contacted the owner prior to the stay as it was my partners birthday and they had set up balloons all over the lodge. Such accommodating and thoughtful hosts. Would definitely recommend!

Great lodge in an amazing location.

Lodge is bigger than photos suggest. It was very clean. The kitchen looks tired in places, but you don't come here to admire the kitchen. Some simple instructions as to how some things worked would have been helpful, rather than wade through the manuals. The overall site looks a bit run down, the road is very poor, and none of the facilities were open, so nearest shop is a few miles away. Overall, would love to come again.

We stayed here for 10 nights.

The lodge itself was fantastic as was the location with great views and easy access. However, the so called "facilities" on site were virtually none existent. There was ment to be a onsite restaurant, this was closed for the entirety of our stay. After reading other reviews it's seems to of been closed for a long time. There didn't seem to be any onsite laundry facilities despite what the listing says. Also for a water park there was no activities going on and certainly no sign of any events. The site itself is looked after and the service from the host was great and very helpful. A welcome pack would of saved a lot of hassle. E.g how to get the hot water running properly. It was quite quiet and somewhat erie at times however we did stay just after the main season. Overall we loved our stay and would stay again but feel things could of been made clearer........also , ignore Google maps . P.s thank you for the dog pack it was greatly appreciated!

Perfect balance of peaceful location and a great base for touring the wider area ….and a great coffee machine! Will definitely be back.

The most relaxing and amazing place to stay.

A lovely welcome from the owner . After explaining we hadn’t brought our dog, as we didn’t think he’d make it up to Ben Nevis, we returned from Ben Nevis to a gift for him. Since coming home he loves his new toy. The lodge had everything you needed and very cosy, plus peaceful. We can’t wait to return and such a good location for Ben Nevis, Loch Ness and Skye. Thanks once again for an amazing stay and would highly recommend.

! The lodge was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. I couldn’t fault it. It had everything we needed and more. All the extra little bits were a lovely touch too. The view is something else, looking out over the loch from the sofa was beautiful!! My little boy had a great time watching all the different boats sail past. I saw the lodge on a Facebook page ‘Inglewood Lodge in The Great Glen’ which offered Guided Fishing trips and messaged them to book with my kids. We all had a fab time. My 5 year old learnt how to cast and actually caught a huge pike!! Definitely worth booking whilst you’re there. All in all, an amazing lodge, with amazing finishing touches, in an amazing location!! We will be visiting again!!

Could do with a second shower in the one bathroom which only has a bath. The rest of the stay was a joy
