Oven unusable as dirty and very greasy.

Needs replacing or professionally cleaned. Mould on a lot of the walls- worse area behind the sofa which when moved very dirty underneath. Old drinks can down the side of the sofa too. Lack of info pack. Outside path very dangerous as uneven. A real trip hazard. Very poor outside lighting. Patio decking very slippery. BBQ unusable - filthy. Bathroom door handle very loose. Shower height adjuster comes away from the wall when moved. Cobwebs in main bedroom. Hole in the bedroom door. Lack of information pack. Bin area dreadful. The 3 general waste bins overflowing. No glass bins. The restaurant building ( closed for a long time apparently) looks shabby and outside (at the rear) being used as a glass dumping area. Positives- property warm ( once we turned all the heaters on). Big tv. Free WiFi. Good location. Property needs some general maintenance and tlc.

Lovely spacious lodge but in need of some TLC, eg tiles missing from step, very worn sofas etc.

though in general a comfortable place to spend time. I must raise the issue regarding boiling of water and the major issue of Public health warnings advising not to injest water when showering due to risk of illness because bacteria found in water/supply!! No warnings were in place in the lodge itself (very poor) nor was any bottled drinking water provided (who drinks boiled water cold??) this is not acceptable, showering became a risky activity and not enjoyable at all. Had my children been with me I’d not have be able to allow them to shower…meaning I’d need to find alternative accommodation due to the risk of illness - I do not feel the issue was fully explained in the advert (certainly no mention of shower issue). In summary a stunning location with a run down former restaurant/bar (now permanently closed) Lodge #27 and public areas need a little TLC and the water issue needs resolving ASAP.

We loved the location, really stunning and cannot fault that.

Unfortunately there were several other issues with the property that affected the quality of our stay. The WiFi- was quite terrible which has an impact on our ability to research/ make plans in the area as there is no data signal. The plumbing was abysmal. The smell was noticeable the second we arrived at the front door, and only got worse. To the extent the shower had overflowed with all sorts of sewage. One of the bedrooms had no working plug sockets, and the other room only had one (very far from the bed) and no extension leads provided. Overall these really impacted the quality of the visit. Which is such a huge shame because the bare bones and there and would have been an amazing stay if these things were improved

Stayed for a week in mid August.

Pros: 1. Lovely location with great views out of the cabin. 2. Beds were surprisingly comfy. Cons: 1. No instructions left for how to operate anything, took us a while to work out why we had no hot water for example. 2. We had an extra guest - a shrew who ran around the living room when he thought we weren't there (we were). 3. Every time we washed the dishes in the kitchen sink the dirty water came back up the shower drain, leaving food waste in the shower. The drainage needs cleared! 4. The whole "Water Park" has seen better days, with the restaurant/bar building looking like it's not been used for years. 5. There was an area wide planned power cut on the Tuesday (12th Aug) from 0900-1500. Obviously not the fault of the owners, but annoying to read on the UK Power Networks website that "all affected properties had been informed in advance". That information had not been passed on to us. Would I have booked a holiday in a place I knew would be having a power cut for most of one of the days? Maybe not....... 6. Drinking water - a week before I was due to go on holiday, I was emailed to say that the local environmental health department had found indications of contamination in the drinking water, and we were advised to boil all our water before drinking. Not the end of the world, but annoying, and obviously when added to the point above, we couldn't boil the water that day! Overall, I would say given how much I paid for one week (£1300) I do not think this represented good value.

At first, there was the water contamination and no bottle of water offered in the lodge.

Then the evacuation problem for the sink and the shower for which we asked for help and had no help. And there was not even enough dishes for 5 persons. We surely will not come again.

Unfortunately, we were rather disappointed with the holiday home.

The pictures make it look like a dream location, and the lake is truly beautiful, but the entire complex is very neglected and run-down. The house itself is also showing its age in terms of furnishings; the bedding, in particular, could use some updating. What really bothered and annoyed us, however, was the advertised dining area for six people, as there were only five chairs! There weren't any other chairs in the rest of the house either, so one of us always had to sit on the couch for meals. That really wasn't nice and shouldn't be the case in a house rented for six people. Anyone with long, thick hair might also be quite unhappy with the shower, as we were, as the water pressure was far too low. The terrace also disappointed us; strictly speaking, it doesn't deserve that name either. It's more like a very narrow balcony, with no seating at all. You can only fit two dining chairs there, which is neither comfortable nor particularly sociable if you're traveling with six people. Unfortunately, the terrace/balcony doesn't have access to the lawn and thus to the lake.

Cottage and location were great, and included (or rather, left behind?

) things like power socket converters are a great plus. We had two minor issues: the shower was cold one evening (is that related to the very unclear blue light in the kitchen?) and the ventilation appeared to be off, leading to quite stale air in the rooms.

It was a perfect holoday, in a calm and green location.

Could do with a welcome pack on how to use water heater etc

The holiday property is in a great place The view's are amazing can't really fault the property.

The only thing I would say is the mattresses are very soft.

A neat house with beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful views over the loch. Beautiful new kitchen. Dining table is very tight for 6 people. The smoke detector batteries need to be replaced.

Great place to stay for a bigger family, with the two twin rooms.

Right on the loch and quick access to the A82 and the rest of the great glen too. Property description should remove the bit about site restaurant though - this is a good location but the restaurant doesn't look like it's been active for a while?

Amazing accommodation and such a lovely view from the lodge.

Clean, tidy, comfortable. We would definitely return there.

A wonderful loch side location.

Fantastic lodge with everything you could wish for, well equipped kitchen, 3 comfortable bedrooms , a living area with tv and dvd player and the best view of the Loch available. Unfortunately, there are no longer any facilities on site (restaurant, water park, laundrette). However, this did not affect our stay as we still had an amazing time despite initially expecting to use the water park. We made our own fun on the loch anyway. Great location for the great glen way and canal walks. All in all, a great time. Thank you

The property has damp and mould problems in the main bedroom.

The tiles at the entrance came off and were very slippy when it was wet. There were no activities available as the whole place was closed, including the on site restaurant. Overall, very disappointed for what we paid.

The property has a wonderful view on the lake.

It is close to several spectacular sights and attractions. The house is comfortable and enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved the space, we were treated to some amazing snackbars, everything we needed was provided. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was is such a stunning location and was well equipped.

The only thing missing was instruction on how to use things, sockets, heating etc and what to do when checking out, ie dirty towels, rubbish, are the snack bars free to eat. We used our common sense but there is always the risk of the owner’s expectations not being met.

It was really wonderfull in the Cottage.

We enjoyed our stay very much.

It was a fantastic family holiday, location great.

The children as other members of the family stayed in a lodge on same site had a fantastic time and experience which will stay with them for life.

It was well equipped and warm. The location was quiet and overlooked Loch Oich.

Wonderful location, clean and comfortable.

The only issue we had was with the plumbing. There appeared to be a blockage in the shower, and water wouldn’t drain away. Also crumbs and food waste (presumably from the sink in the kitchen) overflowed and came up in to the shower tray! Contacted the number given on my confirmation email and the person who answered questioned how I got his number! After 3 phone calls, someone came (while we were out) to apparently fix it, although the same problem happened the next day. When we left the property the problem had still not been resolved.
