“We loved our stay at Owl Lodge.”
It had everything we needed for the week and a great location for exploring the surrounding areas, from Glenfinnin to Inverness. The position on site was great too, right near the car park and very close to the Loch for swimming (just don’t forget the midgy spray!!) The kitchen had everything we needed for self-catering, plenty of crockery and pots/pans etc. Plenty of tea/coffee/dishwasher tabs etc provided, thank you! And the complimentary bottle of Iron Brew went down well with the kids! The living room was comfy. The bedrooms were comfy too, just lacking in storage. All had built in wardrobes however more shelving would have been better. Also more hooks would have been good to hang wet towels etc, particularly in the bathroom. Not a complaint just something we felt it needs to make it perfect! The bathroom, just like the kitchen, had everything we needed and was all in good working order. The bedding and towels provided were all clean and fresh. The only thing that let it down was overall cleanliness. We had to move the bed in the main bedroom to make space for our suitcases on the floor and there was a lot of dirt under the bed. There was also a thin layer of dust on some pieces of furniture.
Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we head back to Scotland. Thanks for a great week!
