What guests are saying
Lodge was lovely and spacious.
Slept 10 of us and we did not feel that we were under each other's feet. Could do with a new washing machine as although worked, had issues with the drying feature. This did not ruin the holiday though. The fridge freezer could also do with a repair or replacement as freezer is too icy and bottom draw gets iced shut. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. Hot tub was amazing. Someone came twice a day to check the tub. The area where the Lodge is located is great. Only around a 10 minute (or less) walk to the restaurant area. I was really worried after reading reviews on trip advisor ( after I had booked ) but I didnt need to be worried at all. I would say the only down side which isnt the biggest deal and nothing to do with the lodge itself was we were surprised last orders were at 10pm and entertainment like karaoke was finished at 10pm. That was a little disappointing. Also, the activities were a little overpriced ( archery for 8 people out of our party cost 75 pound and lasted 35 to 40 minutes. In saying that, they did enjoy it so thats all that counts. Overall, very peaceful place for a relaxing week away.
For the money that we paid for this lodge it was terrible.
The floors were dirty. There was cobwebs all over the decking area and windows. I had to go round with brush and clean it all. The table and chairs is upstairs on second decking and a bench on down stairs should be other way round. Inside top shower leaked into kitchen. Footboard in kitchen kept falling off. Freezer door didn't close properly. Living room door scraped along floor. Couches were disgusting stains all over it. Cushion on dining chair off. No stuff to play games on table. Window handles missing, no instructions how to turn heating down. No place to hang clothes etc.
