We loved our stay at St.

Fillans, it was home from home, very peaceful and the view was stunning from our lodge, each day was different because of the weather! I would certainly book it again :0) and for anyone needing to get away from city life, this is an ideal place! We saw deer in the field by the bridge twice a day, the walk along the field is great and the surrounding area is very clean and welcoming. The local shop sells most things you forget to pack lol too!

Saorsa lodge was 5 star Clean and very comfortable.

The owners have thought of everything even down to dog bowels, feeding mat, treats, and biodegradable bags. the kitchen is very well stocked I didn't need to take anything with us apart from food. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and very welcome after a long day traveling. The area was great for walking, nice village shop and coffee shop. Everyone we talked to was friendly and helpful about the area. Very quiet on a evening. But would recommend. A lovely location with stunning views.

We had a fabulous week.

The position was brilliant and the views were stunning. Everything was great except that the wi-fi was intermittent.

Lodge was comfortable and very clean.

Very well equipped and designed. Lovely view from the decking. The welcome pack in the fridge was a pleasant surprise! We had some enjoyable walks along the path of old railway line with our dog and explored the village. Make sure you bring supplies of food, the village shop was closed for the weekend of our stay, it’s a long way to find another…

We had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend.

The lodge was lovely, clean and had everything you needed. Welcome pack and doggy treats were an added bonus. Location beautiful with some amazing walks.

Lovely property.

Very clean. There was everything in it that we needed. Dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, gas oven and hob. Dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods were provided. The few local extras that were for us were delicious. A lovely treat. What was nice there were two toilets. Outside the property were seats which overlooked the valley and the views were wonderful. It was very hot for the first few days we were there and the owner kindly brought us a fan. It got very cold during the night at one point and we were able to put some heating on. Some of the radiators I could’nt get to work but the ones that did gave us the heat we needed. Yes we would stay again.

We recently stayed at Saorsa Lodge in St Fillans, located at the east end of Loch Earn, and had a wonderful experience overall.

The surrounding area is simply beautiful, with numerous walking trails perfect for long, scenic strolls. The cottage itself boasts stunning views, and we particularly enjoyed dining on the terrace, soaking in the fresh air and picturesque landscape. Inside, the lodge was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen that was a pleasant surprise. The bed was cozy, and having two bathrooms was a definite plus. We did encounter a minor issue with the Wi-Fi, which was intermittent but still usable. Setting up the TV and Netflix also took longer than expected due to a disconnected cable, and we found the lack of clear instructions for the TV setup a bit frustrating. A simple guide for the Wi-Fi and TV would have been helpful. One challenge was locating the property. The directions provided by Sykes were not very clear, and the lodge is marked as part of Caledonian Cottages with no mention of Sykes, which caused some confusion. Only the lodge itself displayed the name "Saorsa," which made us question if we were in the right place at first. Additionally, we noticed a lack of on-site housekeeping instructions. While pre-arrival emails mentioned bagging rubbish and recycling or handling linen and towels, there were no clear instructions at the property itself. We couldn’t locate any bins for recycling or waste outside, and there was no guidance on waste segregation, despite Sykes’ website emphasizing recycling. This was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise delightful stay. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Saorsa Lodge and are already considering a return visit or booking another lodge elsewhere. The charm, comfort, and breathtaking surroundings made it a truly memorable getaway.

Sehr schönes, super gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Häuschen, ausgerichtet mit allem, was man braucht oder brauchen könnte.

Der Ausblick ist wunderbar und die Gegend super für Ausflüge und schöne auch herausfordernde Wanderungen geeignet. Iona ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, die sich um alles innerhalb kürzester Zeit gekümmert hat.

This is our 4th stay at the lodges at St Fillans and we love it.

Iona is the perfect host, the lodges are always immaculate and she thinks of everything to make your stay perfect even down to the beautiful welcome pack. The lodges are on the perfect pitch with a view of the hills it's absolutely beautiful and of course we will definitely be back without any doubt

Myself and my mum had the most amazing stay in Saorsa.

Although it states 1 dog, the owner very kindly allowed us to bring both our girls along. The whole lodge was beautifully clean and tidy, fully kitted out with everything you could need and had lots of homely touches. Oh, and what a lovely suprise to find a hamper of goodies in the fridge and also some treats for the dogs (the jar of dog biscuits were rather popular!). The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed a good game of Scrabble of an evening. The view was absolutely to die for and we were super lucky to arrive with such good weather. Walks on the doorstep as well as so many other amazing places within short drives, including the wonderful Trossachs, Ben Lawers, and the magical drive up towards Ben Nevis. Do be very aware, as we found out, there are lots of ticks around, so if you brings a dog/s, check them over regularly. Luckily we were prepared with a tick removal tool and fine tooth comb. We had a slight issue at one point with the internet playing up but the owner was quick to reply and thankfully it started working again the day after. Full instructions / manuals on how to use everything, so had no issues. We both agree, this has been the best holiday we have been on, and would not hesitate on coming back again. We didn't want to leave! Thank you so much.

Beautiful comfortable peaceful lodge.

Was very clean and cosy. Everything included for an amazing stay. Bed was very comfortable. Welcome pack was very much appreciated and delicious. No negatives about actual lodge at all. Loved it. However there were no instructions in lodge regarding how to use appliances and where to take rubbish etc. nothing to say where nearest supermarket doctor petrol station etc were. Very little phone signal and Wi-Fi not great. Staying in February it was very dark. No lighting at all outside and arriving in dark and rain struggled to find which lodge was ours. Wasn’t easy taking dog out after dark would recommend taking a torch.

Lovely lodge in a great site and wonderful views and nearby walks.

Welcome pack was beautiful and a lovely touch. Lodge was very cosy and bed mega comfortable. Nice furnishings and everything we needed for our stay. A couple of minor issues however. An info leaflet would be great about nearby facilities etc. and the disposal of rubbish and recycling bottles, cans etc.the microwave had no instructions so unable to use. The patio doors need adjusting I think, there is a small gap at the top and door is squeaky and difficult to close/lock. Apart from that everything was fine

Lovely accomodation and great walking and biking tracks. Recommended.

The property was very clean and had a very soft bed which was great after walking all day, we fell asleep straight away.

It had all the amenities that we needed. It was located in a very quiet village with some walks near by which was great for our dog. There wasn't any lampposts near the property which made outside pitch black, this is a positive as it reminds you that your in the countryside, you're apart of nature and the amount of stars you can see on a clean night is incredible, city stresses get cleared away. The view from the living room in the morning is lovely, which a great view over the trees.

The location was just stunning! The lodge was perfect. Everything what you needed and more! The welcoming package was a perfect touch.Lovely surprise. It was very cosy during rainy and cold days. Very happy with our stay. Definitely recommend.

What a fantastic find, just what we needed to relax after Christmas in a beautiful location with amazing views and comfortable surroundings, The welcome basket of excellent quality and our wee Border Terrier loved her treats.

Plenty of excellent walks available during the day and great to come back to such a lovely lodge....we'll definitely be back, thank you for such a lovely stay.

There is everything you need and the attention to detail is lovely to see. A lot of effort has gone into making sure your stay is comfortable ! The surrounding area is beautiful and the location very pretty ! Highly recommended !

This was a lovely lodge.

Clean,comfy,cosy & very tastefully decorated. I had taken my mum away for a well earned break and she thoroughly enjoyed herself here.The lodge is well situated for visiting other areas in Stirlingshire and Perthshire. The inclusion of dog treats and blankets,bowls etc was a lovely touch. There was a very nice welcome pack showcasing local produce which we sought out & bought more of. All in all we had a lovely week & will very likely be back.

An amazing find, a fabulous lodge in a stunning location, beautifully finished and equipped, everything is very well thought out with nothing amiss, high praise must go to the ever-helpful host, Iona.

The little village is a gem and the coffee-shop and store is a hark-back to days gone by and well worth a visit. The Loch and drive is simply spectacular, we cannot wait to return !

This is a beautiful accommodation, very well maintained, it can be quite cold once the heating has died down, but at this time of the year we accept that, definitely needed the blankets at night, the area is outstandingly beautiful, with fantastic walks, thank you very much for the welcome pack and dog treat, all very much appreciated Thank you John and Pat Anderson

No pubs locally, only 2 hotels at far end of village, took our radio no signals, intermittent wi fi.

Small village shop expensive closes at 4pm Nice walks, you are isolated, only 7 cabins on site and 6 others for sale.

Great place to stay just such a shame about the weather.

Welcome pack for us & our dog was very nice touch. On Sykes website it says gated deck & then it says be aware deck is not gated but it is so dog can be secured on deck. The only thing that was a bit misleading was that until we got there we didn't know that we would have to take our dog offsite to toilet him. There are plenty of walks & generally thus wouldn't be a problem but most days it was torrential rain so this wasn't ideal. Also a little bit of information about how to use microwave, what to do with rubbish etc eoukd have been useful. These are only minor issues but otherwise can't recommend the property more highly & would love to stay here again.

This is our second stay at these lodges and all I can say is they are totally amazing we absolutely love it xx The lodge itself is spotless and like home from home xx The welcome pack is such a lovely gesture for us and the dog as well xx The only issue was the WiFi down and hasn't been working for about a month ( I've got a teenager

Beautiful lodge very comfortable and exceptionally clean and well equipped.

We loved the view and appreciated the welcome pack. Telephone signal and wi-fi bit of a problem but did not spoil our stay. Very peaceful site. Thanks

Great location, lodge was very clean ,there was a lovely welcome pack totally unexpected but very much appreciated, terrific view of the mountains and really quiet.
