“Paradise! In the middle of nature.”

Richard and Judith were amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Daves Place was so comfy, everything you could want was there, if not, just ask! Wildlife and nature was all around, from Red Kite to Wren and wild flowers galore. Ted and me really enjoyed our stay, won't hesitate to return. Regards Rob and Ted

“We were the first guests at Daves Place, what a fantastic find.”

Judith and Richard met us on arrival, Richard even got us some sausages, milk and eggs. The shepherds hut had everything in you'd need and more. We've stayed in many places, always to find something missing, not here! The location was perfect, lovely and quiet with walks from the door. The hut was warm and comfy and the seating area outside was ace. The only thing that would make this perfect would be an enclosed garden area, but I know Judith and Richard have a lot going on so this is something minor. We'll definitely be back again.

The quiet village of Munslow is found on the edge of the Shropshire Hills AONB, a short drive from Craven Arms and Church Stretton. It is a pretty village, with a country pub serving good food and drink and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The neighbouring towns of Church Stretton and Craven Arms both have a lovely selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, whilst the latter also boasts its own independent supermarket where you can pick up all your essentials for your holiday. Nearby are wonderful walking opportunities and lots of choices for fun days out to keep both adults and children entertained. Visit the beautiful Stokesay Castle, complete Ludlow’s Murder Mystery Treasure Trail, spend the day at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, or marvel at the National Trust’s Berrington Hall, which can be reached in less than half an hour. The UNESCO World Heritage Site at Ironbridge Gorge is less than half an hour from Munslow, and The Stiperstones, a must-visit for keen walkers in the group, is less than an hour away in the car. A wonderful destination for a holiday exploring Shropshire and its Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
