Hazel Lodge
Description
Clun 2.6 miles.
Hazel Lodge is set in the quiet village of Clunton, close to the historic town of Clun in south Shropshire.
Surrounded by rolling countryside and peaceful lanes, it’s well-suited to couples or two pairs of friends looking to slow the pace and explore this unspoilt corner of the county.
Inside, the open-plan living space offers a practical and sociable layout.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, so preparing anything from a simple breakfast to a hearty evening meal is straightforward.
A dining table provides space to gather and plan the next day’s outing, while the sitting area features comfortable seating and a Smart TV for relaxed evenings indoors.
There are two bedrooms: one king-size and one double.
Each benefits from its own en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC, giving guests added privacy and convenience.
A separate utility room adds to the practicality, particularly for longer stays or walking breaks.
Outside, an enclosed decked area with outdoor furniture offers a pleasant spot to sit out and take in the rural setting, whether with a morning coffee or a drink at dusk.
Off-road parking for two cars is available, and essentials such as WiFi, central heating, bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included.
A friendly village pub can be found nearby, while everyday supplies are available with a supermarket and a butcher in Craven Arms and a Spar shop in Clun, a picturesque town known for the ruins of Clun Castle and its annual Green Man Festival.
Bishop’s Castle is also within easy reach, offering independent shops, traditional pubs and access to the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Ludlow, with its well-regarded food scene and impressive medieval castle, is a short drive away.
Walkers will appreciate routes across the Long Mynd and Offa’s Dyke Path, both easily accessible from the area.
Hazel Lodge provides a comfortable base for discovering Shropshire’s landscapes, historic towns and quieter way of life.

What guests are saying
Couldn't fault accommodation, lovely clean site.
People really friendly, the only down side was the pub described on your site was closed down. that was very inconvenient as we had to drive again after a very bad journey to find something to eat, it was somewhat misleading. but apart from that it was a lovely holiday.
As soon as we arrived at Hazel Lodge, my mum and I felt right at home.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The sofa was was really comfortable and just what we needed after our long walks in the daytime. The beds were really comfortable and a bonus having a huge amount of hangers. Loved having our own en-suites and the shower was really powerful in mine, my mum ended up using mine as we couldn't turn the temperature down on hers. The site itself was so peaceful and quiet and it was lovely listening to the birds every morning. We had some lovely days out and all easy to get to, as Clunton was a good place to get to anywhere. Thank you for a wonderful stay
An immaculately presented and comfortable lodge on a small site alongside 9 other lodges.
Hazel lodge has everything you could need and is to an exceptional standard. The location is superb with miles of Shropshire countryside walks directly from the site. The site is located along a very quiet lane in Clunton which is a picturesque village. You can explore Clunton Coppice and Bury Ditches hill fort from the doorstep. Clun is a small drive away and a lovely place to have a picnic by the castle and river. Craven arms discovery centre only 6 miles away is a little gem and well worth a visit. Clunton village has a lovely pub which is 5 mins walk from Hazel lodge. We had a fun packed 3 night stay with our 2 dogs. Highly recommended location and holiday accommodation!
