There are four spacious bedrooms at your wonderful holiday home, all with Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels, as well as wall-mounted televisions.
The wonderful master bedroom is on the first floor and boasts a superb king-size double bed with en-suite facilities, as well as a feature glazed frontage from where idyllic Shropshire countryside views can be seen.
Open up the large French doors from the living area onto the huge south-facing, all weather terrace from where you can relax in the superb hydrotherapy spa hot tub with mood lighting, whilst admiring the views of the Shropshire countryside and watching the regular visitors of all kinds of wildlife that come out to play from the adjacent wood.
Just two miles down the road is the pretty market town of Ellesmere with its Tudor, Georgian and Victorian buildings, and is famous for its picturesque mere, which offers fishing and boat hire.
Nestled between the Shropshire Meres and the well-known Shropshire to Llangollen canal, it's a great location to explore the area renowned as Shropshire's Lakeland.

Hampton Lodge was set in an ideal location for activities, shops, walks, visiting places of interest.
The Lodge gave full privacy and isolation, which was great for playful grandchildren, the hot tub was well maintained, the cleanest I've every seen and large, undercover and peaceful. The host was very helpful and informative. We stayed two weeks with good weather and I would go again maybe in a couple of years time. Was something a little different, we soon got used to the small lanes leading up to the Lodge and main roads. Great for nature and wildlife. A great holiday! For consideration to improve stay (splitting hairs now) baking tray, small frying pan and a wash basket to hang washing out.
We had a lovely relaxing week, beautiful surroundings and plenty to do in the area.
The property was located in a beautiful and peaceful place.
In the right place to visit plenty of places and only had to drive on a single road for a mile. Luck be with you if you miss the tractors, Out of all the times we travelled on them we only got caught twice. LOL The Lodge had everything needed for your stay . Lot's of squirels in the back field, It was great to watch. I had only 2 drawbacks to the Lodge. 1. The Light switch is right next to the front door, so when you go upstairs at night, by the time you turn off the light it is pitch black and you have to get to the other side of the room and up the stairs in the dark. Luckily we had our torches. 2. The bed upstairs was not very comfortable for us so we didn't get a good nights sleep, it might be ok for others. Overall a great place.
We stayed at the lodge in January and it snowed, picture perfect Such a lovely place to relax with friends, plenty of space and an under cover hot tub.

We had a lovely Christmas at Hampton Lodge .
It was tastefully decorated and very cosy. The views are anazing with just fields and sheep all around. The hot tub was a real bonus and was well used. Barbara was really lovely and very helpful. Would definitely recommend and hopefully we will return again.

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful lodge!
It's so thoughtfully designed - spacious and has everything you need for a perfect escape away. The hot tub was a real highlight - large, relaxing and overlooking a peaceful field with sheep which made it feel so tranquil and special. Barbara the owner was absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more helpful - we'll definitely be coming back - highly recommend!

Perfect late summer holiday with friends.
Loved everything about this lodge ......well isolated and no light intrusion ,so perfect for star gazing particularly from the hot tub !All rooms comfortable and cosy.The lodge is very well equipped....has everything you would need. Ellsmere is a charming little town where we were made welcome. Sunday lunch at The Boat is a must and also The Sun Pub worth a visit. I would be very happy to return .

We had a very nice week in the Lodge.
It was perfect, well equipped, plenty of towels and places to hang them to dry and the jacuzzi was the best I ever been too. Absolutely perfect!

An enjoyable stay for 7 adults and one baby for a week in August 2025.
The grounds are extensive and provided lovely strolls with a cup of tea in the morning. The privacy was lovely, using the hot tub and sports areas without worrying about noise. The cabin facilities were fine for a week and Barbara came out and fixed a door for us with no problem. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be staying again. Recommended days out to Chester and Chester Zoo. Pete's bakery in Ellesmere is lovely too, especially the sausage rolls.

Me and my friends came as three couples to this amazing lodge, we stayed for three nights and didn’t know what to expect, the property was amazing and so quiet and you were left alone in peace.
The woman who introduced herself to us was called Barbera and she was lovely which made the stay even better and she gave us a lot of tips and recommendations on what to do for our stay. We done some activities and just enjoyed the area and the lodge. We went to The Mere which was beautiful. Overall we got to spend quality time together in a lovely lodge which is out the way and very comfortable, spacious and affordable. We all loved our time away and would definitely recommend it to anyone! I’m sure we will be back again as everything went so well and smoothly.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at Hampton lodge it really was beautiful.
An amazing way to start our summer holidays. The lodge is very spacious and has everything you would need for a week away from home. The children loved picking out there rooms and playing outside, watching the sun set from the decking and taking a dip in the hot tub after long days out. The owners really have thought about everything and you can tell just how much work an love they have put into this lodge. The cake was also very tasty so thank you for that.

Hampton Lodge is sitiuated as seen on the publcity in the middle of nowhere seemingly, until floodlighting appears at the foot of selected trees at nightfall!
Creatively positioned, and designed internally also, The Lodge supplies everything to ensure a most enchanting and yet practical stay for a week. Versatile, adaptable and deliciously welcoming every day. Gloriously relaxing experience.

The lodge is beautifully appointed and was spotless and incredibly cosy.
There are TVs in every bedroom and a fast and reliable internet connection. The privacy was exceptional. Nestled in a serene and secluded area we enjoyed peaceful times on the veranda, listening to the birds and looking at the sheep and visiting pheasants. The hot tub was a particular highlight – nothing beats soaking under the stars or avoiding the rain. Barbara and Richard are great hosts who respected our privacy but who were available if we needed them. Fantastic to meet Barbara to welcome us. It was clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome and ensuring they have a memorable stay.

Beautiful lodge and setting.
Warm welcome from owner, cake was lovely. Only a tiny thing but the lighting was a little dim, especially over the dining table at night. Would absolutely recommend it for a family stay.

We had an amazing holiday at Hampton Lodge.
We came with our four adult children and two of their partners, so although we wanted to spend time together, we still needed the lodge to be big enough so we didn't feel on top of one another, and Hampton Lodge provided this. The lodge genuinely felt big enough for eight adults, with enough sofa space and space at the dining table for everyone. We couldn't fault the lodge, it was just perfect in every way and we had a lovely stay. It was exactly as advertised on Sykes, and the little extras like board games, badminton set, and table tennis ensured we always had plenty to do. The hot tub being under the veranda was great as it meant we could continue to enjoy it even when the weather was not great. We also couldn't have asked for a better location and there was plenty to do in the local area. We visited the aqueduct, hired a canal boat for the day, visited Hawkstone Park Follies and went white water rafting. Barbara was a great host, welcoming us with her amazing cake and providing lots of information about things to do nearby. All in all this is probably the best accommodation we have stayed in and everyone in our family had a great time, the week just flex by. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and I don't believe anyone would regret booking Hampton Lodge for their holiday.

If I could give 10 stars I would, this lodge is perfectly located in seclusion and offers a sense of privacy & luxury away from the world.
We spent one week with our 3 boys (1 under 2, 2 approaching teenagers) and we were able to facilitate everyone's needs and enjoyment thanks to the well planned lodge layout and facilities. On top of that, Barbara who is quite clearly a legend, was very helpful in ensuring we had what we needed and we very much enjoyed chatting to her. The hydrotherapy hot tub is large and helped me with a joint condition I am currently recovering from. Our older boys loved the hot tub, badminton net and area to kick a football around. All in all given our busy family, we had the best week we could thanks to this place & would very much recommend it.

We had a lovely stay in Hampton lodge.
It had everything we needed, the hot tub was amazing, beautiful surroundings. Very private as you can’t see anything but nature around you. We loved seeing the sheep outside, the covered decking area was lovely especially as we had some sunny days. Perfect for watching the stars at night too. We had four generations staying from a toddler to elderly and we all enjoyed. One of the bulbs went in the bathroom and within half hour it had been repaired by the host. Lots to do within 30 minutes drive including the mere just down the road where we enjoyed feeding the ducks and walking. Everyone in the local area was friendly, we visited the town with a few shops and lovely bakery. Also visited the national ironworks centre, Oswestry, a few lovely local pubs and then back to the lodge to relax in the hot tub and take in the amazing views. We are definitely hoping to return in the future!

A lovely house, immaculate, well-equipped and in a great area.
Barbara was so friendly and helpful with advice on where to visit. We really appreciated the large living/dining/kitchen, and the fact that the hot tub was just on the verandah outside. It was too cold and windy to use the table tennis or badminton outdoors, but we went to Chester (1/2 hour drive), Blists Hill (1 hour) and the Chirk canal tunnel and Pontcysyllte aqueduct. A surprising highlight was the trail around Hawkstone Follies which all three generations of us really enjoyed. We always have our family get-togethers at February half term and Hampton Lodge was brilliant for us. I just wish we could visit in summer too, when it must be even better! A well-deserved 5 stars.

We had a fabulous time at Hampton lodge.
It was a family get together as we are all spread about the country. The setting is really rural which is so peaceful, and there was lovely walks straight from the lodge, even along the county roads as they hardly have any cars going by. There was plenty of local amenities nearby in Ellesmere just a few miles away, and a great pub called sun inn at Welshampton which you can walk to (2 miles). The lodge itself is very well presented. We loved that it was mostly all on one level so we felt very together. The hot tub was fantastic! You didn’t have to go beyond the veranda to get in it so it was an any weather activity as it’s fully covered but has great views of the sunset. The hosts were wonderful, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Another great point for us is that it is disability friendly, my mum has mobility issues but due to it all being on the ground floor this was no problem and she still felt very much part of the group and could take her scooter on walks along the country lanes with us all. We will definitely return. Thankyou!

We booked Hampton lodge for a girls weekend and had the best stay.
Beautiful lodge, got everything you need and feels like your in the middle of no where. Shops and takeaways just a ten minute drive away. Barbara was lovely too!

Beautiful lodge in the middle of nowhere completely on your own.
Great facilities, hot tub well used (and maintained) , as were the table tennis table and badminton net, and the stars at night were amazing . Great information as well on what to do locally , hosts Barbara and Richard really helpful and friendly

We had a wonderful stay at Hampton Lodge.
The accommodation is superb and the surrounding areas beautiful and peaceful. The owner, Barbara, was so friendly and welcoming, even baking a cake for our arrival. There is plenty of information about various areas to visit, walks, cycling, places to eat, etc - she has tried to think of everything a guest could possibly need. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are already talking about returning again next year!

We recently visited Hampton Lodge for a family staycation (6 adults, 1 child) and it was lovely from start to finish.
The location was peaceful with lovely views. There was a thoughtful touch of home made Victoria sponge cake for our arrival. The accommodation itself was spacious, with lovely decor and furnishings and we immediately felt at home. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds comfy. Barbara has been a lovely host during our stay and made some great recommendations of places to visit which we took up. During the week we played a lot of badminton (which made for some great competition!), cooked on the barbecue and relaxed in the hot tub. Overall a fantastic stay in great accommodation with lovely views. Would definitely recommend!

Hampton Lodge provides excellent accommodation in beautiful, secluded surroundings.
The owner has provided everything required to ensure that customers have all they need to enjoy a 5 star plus holiday. Add to this top drawer cleanliness and a very well equipped private, individual property and you have a model for a very successful, worry free vacation. The owner goes the extra yard to ensure that all the facilities are in tip top order and provides highly-detailed guides to where to visit and where you might shop and eat. A first class facility and deservedly recommended. We will definitely return.

I can't recommend Hampton Lodge highly enough.
Barbara, one of the owners was very accommodating, personable and caring. She came round to introduce us, help us settle in and provided a number of recommendations for places to visit. The lodge itself is lovely, fantastic location in terms of potential day trips for the family, but also a lovely setting with nice views and very cosy. Ellesmere and general amenities are also very close. I went with the family and they loved it.

Myself and the girls had an amazing relaxing stay at Hampton lodge.
It was extremely clean and comfortable, we found the kitchen to be very well stocked with kitchen utensils for cooking. The hot tub was just perfect and extremely well looked after. Barbara communication was fantastic before hand as I had a number of questions before we arrived. She welcomes us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Barbara recommend a restaurant called The Boat House, we had lunch there one afternoon. Well the food and the service was absolutely fantastic I would also highly recommend it. The lodge itself exceeded our expectations, the setting was perfect…you are literally in the middle of nowhere so for those of you wanting to get away from it all then look no further….the lodge was just beautiful an enough space for all of us 8…40 something gin drinking ladies. Barbara the host was so welcoming, she made us feel at home straight away, gave us lots of recommendations if we wanted to venture out…and made us the most gorgeous Victoria sponge cake as a welcome gift. We had a trip out to Ellesmere where we ate at the lovely Meze (Greek Restaurant) the food was amazing an they staff there was so lovely too, then we found a fab little bar call the Vault which had live music on (Saturday night) really good atmosphere an highly recommended if you do venture out of the lovely lodge. I’ve got to mention Pete the taxi driver…Tennant taxis…his number is in the information book provided at the lodge…Pete who we renamed Cliff (don’t ask) was so accommodating with us…he did numerous trips ferrying us back an too…lovely guy. We absolutely had the best time here and have already put our dates in for next year. Thanks Barbara for a memorable weekend….see you next year!!
The lodge was really well equipped and of a high standard.
Hosts were lovely and really helpful. It was what we would have expected in that price bracket, would certainly return at some point. Only point for improvement would be that we found the lounge area not really big enough for our group to comfortably relax, sofas could be comfier or better thought out. That's said we didn't find it too much of an issue as we sat at the table and outside mostly
We had a fantastic week at Hampton Lodge and Barbara was a lovely host, making sure we knew where everything was and gave us great local advice.
Her cake was super light and didn’t last very long! Lodge: Beds were super comfy and the lodge was spotlessly clean on arrival. We made use of the hot tub most days. Rural location but idyllic, so if you need a cab during your stay, make sure you book in advance. Tennants taxis were fab. Local Tesco stocks everything you could want. Table tennis and badminton were great fun! Food and drink: Boathouse in Ellesmere does an amazing chowder and their afternoon tea looked amazing, but we didn’t get to try it Corn Mill in Llangollen has a lovely view of the river from the decking Sun Inn at Welshampton does a stunning Sunday roast Thai gate in Ellesmere is very tasty The Vault is an underground quirky pub Places to visit: Llangollen Powis castle Whittington castle Ellesmere boating late and sculpture trail Overall we had a fantastic week away at Hampton Lodge and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone!

Barbara the owner was more than helpful and even made us a beautiful cake. The property is immaculately clean and the beds are 10 out of 10 for comfort. We was provided with everything we needed other than food. Relaxing scenery with enough space to let your hair down and truly enjoy your surroundings. Will definitely be going back. There was only one downfall to this booking we didn’t book long enough.
Hampton Lodge is absolutely brilliant.
A fabulous lodge situated in the most beautiful, peaceful setting. The accommodation is spacious, high quality and very well equipped. All those minor, but important details were catered for (sufficient crockery/cutlery, hot tub temperature perfect , etc) and plenty of nice touches too, like the divine Victoria Sponge cake on arrival! Barbara was a wonderful owner to deal with; friendly, attentive and genuine. The location is perfect for exploring a lovely part of the world and also to experience a slower pace of life in privacy. Would definitely recommend. We aren’t generally a family to go back to the same place twice, but may make an exception in this case :)
The lodge is amazing, has all the home comforts you need in the most idyllic location.
Barbara (The host) was so nice and couldn’t do enough for us when we arrived and then simply left us to it. I’ll certainly be back.

4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were perfect. Hot tub was well used , it’s lovely and big. Never been to a lodge before, but this one is better than some cottages we’ve been to. Lovely and warm top quality fittings etc.

Hampton Lodge was the perfect place for our group of five seniors.
The accommodation was excellent and we received a very warm welcome from Barbara, (the owner). The lodge proved the ideal position from which to explore. We enjoyed visits to a number of National Trust properties including, Chirk Castle and the fascinating Erddig Hall and Gardens. Llangollen and the horse drawn barge trip was also favourites. If you want to eat out in the evenings, unfortunately you will need to take the car. However the nearest local pub,The Sun Inn at Welshampton proved to be perfect for us with a good variety of excellent meals. Back to the Lodge.The facilities were first class and the hot tub a great addition. One point visitors might wish to be aware of is that the upstairs bedroom is accessed by a rather steep wooden staircase, which may be an issue for the "not so fit" guest. We would heartily recommend Hampton Lodge to anyone looking for a quiet rural base, from which to explore Shropshire and surrounding area

The owner Barbara was so lovely , we had a problem with the heating , I text her & she popped round within 5 minutes .
So very helpful & accommodating . Heating was fine we just wasn’t sure how to work it . Fabulous hot tub , made our stay a great one .

Barbara is a friendly, charming hostess and the welcome cake on arrival was much appreciated. We went as a group of ladies and had a wonderfully chilled weekend. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place and we’ll certainly be booking again.
Hampton Lodge is Situated in a very quiet rural area but close to towns and attractions.
It is very well equipped and maintained to a high standard. The owner, Barbara, is a lovely lady and gives a warm welcome on arrival. There is a complimentary sponge cake with milk, tea and coffee for you to use. We hire the lodge for a family get together and needed a lodge for 8 people. The lodge was very spacious and there was plenty of room for everyone. Before we left, Barbara revisited to ask how things were and if we could help her to improve the lodge. We could not think of anything. We all had a brilliant time. Hampton Lodge is definitely a place to revisit at some time.
