A wonderful find!
We would love to return. We had a brilliant long weekend at Aller Farm, Emma greeted us and we felt immediately welcome. We had tour around the facilities and made our way to our tent where Emma made sure we had all the information we needed and handled the excitement and enthusiasm of 2 young children with clear experience and expertise! The tent was exactly as described and pictured, clean and really spacious. The beds were all really comfortable and the bedding was lovely and warm for the temperature drops at night. (There is a stove that can be used for heating if needed) Fully plumbed bathroom at the back of the tent. The first morning we joined the farm tour with Emma, learning about their working dairy farm and we met Nigel and ‘Grandma’ . We were able to have a go at milking the cows and feeding some calves. This was a real highlight for us ❤️ Our youngest wasn’t sure how he felt about being ‘up close’ to the cows and Emma was so kind to him, he was reassured and ‘Grandma’ took him under her wing on calf duty and he loved it so much he wanted to go back again! Later on we were lucky that the cows came right up to the side of the field near our tent and some slept there too. The pantry has very reasonably priced local beer and wine as well as milk , butter etc and ice blocks to restock the cool boxes in the tent. There were also a selection of snacks, variety packs of cereals etc. The local pub was just a quick wander across the field and had a great menu, tasty food and good service. We visited Lyme Regis and the ammonite pavement (check the tide times), Charmouth and Seaton. Emma had lots of local information that she shared with us to help us plan our trips. There is so much space on site that our children would have been happy running in the field, playing football, and in the dens in the wooded areas all day , particularly when they teamed up with children from other families. Would recommend to anyone who’d like a quiet weekend away or as a fantastic base to explore the area. Thanks to Emma and all at Aller Farm, we hope to stay again in the future
An excellent stay for a week.
Beautiful area and perfect for exploring Devon and Dorset. Facilities were great and lovely small site. Excellent for a family of six with the large safari tent with everything you need. Emma was fantastic - nothing was too much trouble, and fully recommend the farm tour too. A definite for those seeking a perfect staycation for a young family.
Such a lovely stay on the farm.
We are already looking at coming back. Highly recommend.
