Another great stay at this lodge with views of the lake, the owners are so helpful and everything is supplied for a great break, there's a great beach and shops just down the road.

It's also a great place to walk with countryside views or take a trip into Burnham On Sea to see the smallest pier and wildlife at Apex Park. Lovely just to wake up in the morning make yourself a coffee and just chill on the decking looking at the lake view

Presented to the highest standard with every thing you could possibly need. The owners John and Debra have thought of every thing including a welcome pack and explicit instructions for a smooth arrival. The best we have ever visited

to be honest , we have stayed in a great many lodges over he years , and with out a doubt , Number 8 has to be the best one yet .

Cannot fault this lodge it was our 4th visit it's a lovely spot by the lake, lovely places to visit in the area it has everything you need looking forward to our return

We all needed a bit of a rest and number 8 was perfect. The lodge is in such a lovely spot overlooking the lake. Inside the decor and furnishings are lush. Everything looks perfect and feels even better. John and Debra have done a wonderful job at making the perfect relaxing holiday home. Well done and thank you.

The property was excellent it had the wow factor the second you walked in.

It had everything you could possibly need during your stay. The bottle of wine, cans and milk were very welcome. The view from the lodge was beautiful Also it was cleaned to a high standard with a lovely homely touch.

Very comfortable and well equipped. All furnishings were of a high standard and beds very comfortable. The lodge was very clean and made you feel at home as soon as you walked in. What an amazing lodge no 8 Lakes View is, the lodge is very clean, extremely well maintained and decorated beautifully with stunning views of the lake.

John & Debra couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, they responded very quickly to any questions and queries. We have a lovely week's stay and will 100% be returning.

no 8 the lakes was fantastic, peaceful, clean and very well equipped for a lovely relaxing holiday the owners also saved the day, because Sykes was dreadful, very unhelpful and communication impossible, I booked through sykes paid £760 in one go sykes gave me booking reference I logged into sykes account the booking was not there, I put in booking number on sykes site and it was not recognised, sykes only had a no reply email, the live chat was not available and the number supplied said it was now closed, I rang the site in desperation who also said that they had nothing on the system with my reference number, the lady kindly gave me owners number and I contacted them direct, the owners were brilliant, it was very stressful, you could contact sykes via whatsapp which I did but they constantly used automated response to say someone would get back to me but no one from sykes ever did , its like theft sykes take your money and leave you with no way to contact them.

I will never use sykes again book through sykes at your peril. if I had not got the owners number from the place where the lodge is sited I would have turn up with no where to go because sykes and site had nothing on their systems, far from the stress free booking that sykes says it gives you sykes was a non communitive nightmare.

Excellent accomodation which had everything to make it home from home.

Very comfortable beds and sofa and a lovely view of the lake with plenty of seating outside to enjoy if you get the weather. A map of where the lodge was before arrival would have been helpful as this is a very large site and it was difficult to find first time.

fantastic help from owners being old we find things difficult they could nt have been more helpfull.

we just wantedto relax by the lake and it was fantastic.will deff be coming back.

2nd visit and booked again while there, loved every minute stunning place to stay

Well maintained exterior and very ample decking area, with good quality furniture for just sitting, or enjoying a meal.

Internal furnishings and equipment of a high standard. Very clean, and tidy, throughout. Good location on the park with wonderful views of the lake, and ample parking for 3 cars, if required. Our second time staying at the property and hope to return in the future. Think that speaks volumes on its own. Would happily recommend to anyone - as long as it's not the weeks we want!!!!

Absolutely stunning lodge!

I have stayed at Brean Country Club 4 times and this is by far the best lodge I have stayed in. Complimentary teas, coffees milk and wine in the fridge! Beds and bedding pristine and comfortable, everything was perfect and the attention to detail by the owners really is superb, would highly recommend.

The lodge is amazing so well equipped and comfortable, also the location is perfect the view over the lake is great to sit and watch the wildlife and site is very peaceful

This is such a lovely lodge, from the moment we walked through the door we were wowed!

It had everything we needed plus extra, and the surrounding lake is so peaceful. We enjoyed the company of the local wildlife, being visited by a hare, a family of swans, the heron visited without fail every evening, and not forgetting the super friendly ducks. We were also lucky enough to spot the bats feeding around the lake after dark! Debra and John had great communication, and obviously take great pride in their property, will definitely be making a return visit! And thank you for the welcome gifts

Lovely comfortable lodge overlooking a small lake.

Watched the ducks and their ducklings a lot and a heron that visited one evening. Very quiet and peaceful, a great place to escape to away from it all.

Excellent Lodge with every appliance and accessory you could need.

The large deck area is ideally situated to catch both the morning and afternoon sun. A generous welcome gift was waiting for us in the fridge too! Highly recommended.

On arrival we were so impressed with property and position You can tell owners have given a lot of thought it certainly had wow factor

WOW factor when you walked in the property - both the impressiveness of the interior of the lodge and the wonderful view of the lake, teeming with birdlife.

Quiet position but near to the Golf club facilities, and an easy drive to Brean Down beach. Now one of our favourite properties.

It was immaculately clean and tidy, very well equipped and so comfortable. The location of the lodge is perfect for exploring North Somerset and allowed us to visit places including Dunster Castle, Wells and Cheddar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others considering it too!

Absolutely amazing property.

Good design, excellently stocked by the owner, good quality in everything; there was nothing that we needed that we didn’t have. Location on site and views were outstanding. Kids loved it all. We didn’t us the main site facilities at all as not really our kind on place (queues for the entertainment 1.5hrs before doors opened!). Did use the pool that came with a discount (cost £5.50 each for 75 min approx) kids and adults both enjoyed this. We would return in a heart beat

Shame about the weather but this gave us a good opportunity to chill out in peace for the week. Highly recommend this lodge

It was a big "Wow" when we walked into the lodge.

Spotlessly clean with so many extras that were not expected. A complimentary bottle of wine and two beers were waiting in the fridge, plus a pint of milk! There were cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, bathroom toiletries and other things for us to use. I always take my own so this was a nice surprise. All the furnishings, beds, bed linen and towels were of very good quality and we all slept so well. Where the lodge is is very quiet and you overlook a small lake which is home to many ducks, geese and swans. Many days we had "visitors" come to visit on the patio. The other side overlooks the golf course. We enjoyed a meal in the golf club one evening, lovely food and good service. I feel sure we will return at some point.

Superb lodge in a quite place great for a chill

Well it's been another lovely stay , it's our 6th stay my dear mum loves it there home from home owners lovely anything you need there happy to help will be back down in a few months.

Another great stay at this luxury lodge, such a clean and quiet place to visit everything you need is supplied and the owners are so friendly and helpful, the view onto the lake with the wildlife is wonderful and as my hobby is photography I have been able to explore and take so many pictures of the surrounding area with great walks, its just a great place to chill and will definitely be back.

8 Lake View, perfect in every way. It has everything you need for the perfect holiday.

We love staying in this lodge everything needed is supplied its a very clean comfortable and quiet chill out place overlooking a lake with plenty of wildlife, the owners are very helpful and friendly and supply all instructions for the visit ,we have visited several times now and have always had a very happy stay, the large beach is only a few minutes away and there are plenty of shops bars and resturaunts near by.

We would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone.

We have had many “Cottage” holidays over the years, some with Sykes, and No.

8 Lakes View ranks as one of the best. This is our first Lodge holiday and we were not disappointed, even before we had opened the door we felt we had booked a winner. Everything was First Class, the decor, furniture & fittings, cleanliness and above all comfort. We do not look for faults but if we did, we would still be looking. The location on the site was great, very quiet, no need to be put off by its proximity to the Holiday Park, we hardly knew it was there. We were contacted by he owners, John & Debra, to check if all was ok, they take a real pride in the Lodge, and ensure their guests have the best experience. We Highly Recommend this property.

This has to be the best holiday lodge we have staying in to date.

Thank you for complimentary drinks, what a lovely gesture. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, lots of helpful extras and cleaning products which we thought very helpful. The most peaceful relaxing holiday, we didn't want to leave! Peaceful, lovely views, a short walk or drive to the beach or sister site where it was a little busier. Good places to eat and takeaways, we didn't cook at all and booked and ate three times at the golf country club restaurant where the food was really good and service wonderful. We will certainly return. Brean Downs National Trust beach is a lovely spot with nice beach and cafe plus the walk to the top if you are able, you can also hire a tramper if not. Other National Trust places not too far away too. Both Indian restaurant and Chinese takeaways nearby were very good.

The accommodation was first class as was the site.

My wife and I liked the fact that the buildings were not on top of each other. It was a shame the restaurant wasn't open all week, maybe it was too early in the year.

The lodge was perfect in every way.

Very comfortable beds and lovely linen.The furniture & fittings were beautiful.The only tiny criticism was the lights in the bathrooms they were very dim.Some lights over the mirrors would help !

Very nice lodge just what we needed for a quiet chill out after a stressful few months, lovely to wake up and look out onto the lake with the wildlife every morning.

The lodge was supplied with every thing we needed to make it a great stay, and the owners were very helpful. There is so much to do at Brean with the large beach and the variety of shops which are all very close to hand. A very nice two week chillout .

We enjoyed our stay and felt the Lodge was as we had expected from the pictures on the website.

It had all we needed for a week long stay. We liked the location of the Lodge on the Brean Country Club and the outlook for No 8 was lovely and it was extremely peaceful and very quiet. We were disappointed that the Gym and Swimming Pool were not actually on the site as we had thought. However, I believe the information on the website has been amended. I have given full marks for facilities, but this relates to the facilities in the Lodge. We did not use any of the other facilities that were near by.

This a very comfortable lodge with excellent facilities and its immediate location close to the pond/lake within the Country Club site is very restful, with the lodges well separated.

The wider location surrounding this site is packed full of park-style home sites and is very busy. Immediately next door is Brean Leisure Park which could be considered a benefit or a nuisance depending on your needs. The description suggests that the swimming pool, gym etc are on-site facilities. I would disagree. They are fully 500 meters away in the Leisure Park and are not exclusive to the Country Club, which appears to be an up-market branding for the Unity Farm Resort next door. You also have to pay for everything, though you should get a discount. To return to the lodge itself, there were some minor downsides, like limited drawer space in the bedrooms, particularly the smaller one which is probably best suited to children. (We were three adults and this room is probably just about OK for one adult.) The wardrobe in the main bedroom is large. The bathroom and en-suite are excellent as is the kitchen area and lounge. The other minor irritation was lack of instructions for any appliances. The oven clock controls started beeping at one point and we could not turn it off in spite of looking up instructions on the internet. The only solution was to unplug the oven and restart it. The lodge has a monitored alarm system which apparently a pad on the key fob turns on and off. This is fine if you know what to do with the pad. In my limited experience I have used remote pads that work by pressing the pad rather like a remote car key. Again a visit to the internet revealed that one should actually hold the pad close to the control unit. We wondered why the alarm continued to beep for about 24 hours after our entry. Heaven knows what site security (who monitor the alarms) thought, but they didn't turn up in response. I'd recommend the lodge and its immediate surroundings, but remain unconvinced about the wider location at Brean.
