What a lovely spot for a romantic weekend in the middle of nowhere!
It was a beautiful sunrise in the morning that you could see from your bed! Little surprised to see not an oven when we got there, but thought it was funny we had to microwave our pizza! Small tip, do not leave the lights on and door wide open because after sitting on the decking, we had about 20 bugs inside - rookie mistake! Lovely pub 5 min drive away (the London inn) but we recommend you book. And we went to Tiverton to have a ride on a horse drawn barge down a beautiful canal. A weekend full of memories for mine and my husband’s 5th wedding anniversary.highly recommend you know what you are doing with the hot tub instructions too, as we didn’t and the second night it wasn’t very warm. Well worth a visit!
Tawny is a little haven of tranquility in the Devon countryside.
Not off grid but remote enough to feel like it. It was home from home with nature at its best. Peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. The host Amanda can't do enough for you. We would highly recommend a stay at Tawny to get away from it all.
We loved our stay at Tawny, the views were amazing!
Amanda replied promptly to requests for more logs for the hot tub which we also enjoyed. We would return for a long weekend the accommodation was comfortable and clean.
