Lovely and clean,very modern and very well presented.

Great location,very quiet but close to local amenities. A great base to explore the area.The owner was lovely and on hand to help with anything. We will definitely visit again,we had a lovely time.

Absolutely spotless and beautifully sited.

We thorourghly enjoyed our stay, despite the very changable weather. Being of an earlier generation the TV proved difficult and oh, so slow but we were on holiday and it didn't really matter. Jerry, the owner, was friendly but quite content to leave you to your own devices but on hand if you had any queries. The wildlife also deserves a mention and adds to the enjoyment to be had from being there!

Probably cleanest and tidiest property we have stayed Brilliant location .

..easy access to Exeter , M5 motorway and therefore Devon As lodge is on southwest facing slope overlooking large open valley ...catches the sun , can watch the sunsets and clouds and there is a great "Dark Sky " experience Well worth the stay.

One of the nicest lodges, we have stayed in.

Spotless, comfy and well thought out by the owner. Truly peaceful location & the view from the balcony is special to watch nature at its best. We were fortunate to have lovely weather, so daily trips out around local & coastal areas were easily accessible. If you want peace & quiet, this is the place to be.

Stunning property an location peaceful incredible views.

Ideal for local shops and not too far to visit places. Owner has created an amazing place here the grounds are beautiful to walk round, very friendly chap to chat too and helped me with local vet as needed to take my dog whilst on holiday. Accommodation is stunning an has everything you need beautiful lodge.

If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you, lovely lodge with amazing views, spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need.

Ambleside lodge is very modern and clean with a signature view from the patio.

The beds are very comfortable and we found it to be an excellent base for our short Devon stay. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet location in Devon.

An outstanding property and location.

The property is well equipped and immaculate throughout. An abundance of wildlife on your doorstep. Stunning views. Helpful and friendly owner. Easy location to find. Great links to the M5 and coast. Good local amenities in the village of Cullompton including 2 supermarkets only a 5 minute drive. Very good food at the re-opened pub called The Weary Traveller. We highly recommend this property.

Ambleside is a superbly equipped Lodge in a perfect location with wonderful views of the Devon countryside.

Well maintained and good property.

Sunset view is amazing. Ample of wildlife, we were able to see dozens of rabbits every morning and evening and we were lucky as deer once visited us outside our lodge. Beautiful lake to stroll within property.

We had a super stay at Ambleside Lodge assisted by beautiful weather!

The location is magnificent with stunning views across the valley. The hosts were most helpful and maintain the lodge to a very high standard. There are splendid walks around the area including the picturesque fishing lake. As we go to the Cullompton area at least twice a year to visit an elderly relation we will definitely return. The lodge is ideally located for visiting both the north and south coasts of Devon as well as some interesting visitor attractions nearby.

Beautiful, peaceful site.

Spotlessly clean, new lodge and adequate facilities. Excellent location for us visiting family. Would be very happy to return. Minor suggestions - bigger, sturdier doormat or runner, gate or some form of barricade to prevent children or dogs escaping down the front steps, better instructions for the TV for technophobes! The second bedroom is really only suitable for children - would be very tight with 2 adults!

Pleasant and quiet area.

Plenty of wildlife to see. Owners were helpful and prompt with any questions and queries. Would definitely stay again. Transport will be needed if you book the lodge

There was a fly infestation that resulted in flies being present for the weekend, even with fly spray, it was not possible to remove all of them.

After consulting with the Owner, it was left to the guest to try and remove them. The electricity kept tripping out and needed to be reset each time.

Just wow.

A hidden gem. Amazing , exceptionally clean lodge that has all you need. It has stunning views that you just help keep looking at. Sunsets we're amazing. If you like nature, this is the place for you. Binoculars are a must. Seen hawkes, rabbits,geese and if your truly lucky you might see dear and foxes. There's lots of land to walk around and an amazing carp fishing lake. Comfy beds and brilliant en suite facilities. Immerse yourselves in this beautiful quiet location. Owners Jo & Jerry are there if you need them and more than happy help in anyway they can. Good location for food shops and easy access to travel around wherever you fancy. It was truly a fab stay for my sister and I, but equally good for anyone. Has king size bed and another bedroom with 2 small single beds.

Had an amazing stay at Ambleside.

The accommodation was first class, with all that you could need to make a perfect stay. The view was spectacular and we saw alot of wildlife. It was a great place to make the most of surrounding area and we saw alot of Devon. Would highly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The whatthreewords was completely wrong.

Wrong road. Followed the written directions to find it. Internet connection was slow on occasion. TV was via that and buffering was a regular issue which makes watching it annoying. Apart from that it was a good stay & the accommodation was great. Really good showers, comfortable sofa & bed.

A beautiful setting with magnificent views and very helpful hosts.

Ambleside is a beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you so much and we wish you well with your venture. We've stayed in quite a number of self-catering cottages and there is normally something that we're not quite happy with, but Ambleside and Colebrook Fisheries and Lodges were perfect. The view, the comfort, your hospitality - everything. The beds were more comfortable than ours at home and the showers more powerful and we were really impressed with how clean the property was and how many places we had to store belongings. Despite its size the cabin didn't feel small at all. If we're being really demanding, then a welcome hamper with a few provisions would have been handy (there was tea, coffee and sugar but no milk or butter) - but as you're only a short 5 minute drive to supermarkets it wasn't too much of a hardship to buy. A couple of games or jigsaws would have been ideal on the rainy day to keep the girls off their tablets but we enjoyed just admiring the view - even in the rain.

Ambleside is a wonderful spot for a quiet stay in the country with the convenience of Cullompton down the road.

Jerry & Jo are a lovely couple and we were fascinated with their journey to owning the fishery, land & lodges. The views from the Lodge are spectacular and positioned perfectly for sunsets. The Lodge is perfect for a couple and will definitely return.
