The Bird House was a lovely and comfortable place with lovely surroundings to chill and watch the birds , very clean and well equipped with everything you needed , handy to get to other places on the coast thank you Peter x Julia

Lovely accommodation.

Felt cozy, spacious, clean and had pretty much everything needed at great value. Family of 4, including baby and 3.5 year old plus big dog. Would come back again if visiting the area.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely cabin; it was a fabulous base to explore the surrounding areas.

Peter was extremely helpful and provided lots of great recommendations of the area, from places to visit and food. The property had great facilities, and we were very comfortable as a family of 4, with a teenager and dog. We especially liked that the veranda was secured by a gate, which was perfect for the dog. The grounds were well kept, and we particularly liked the small, friendly, safe, and quiet feel to the holiday village. No booking for the pool - perfect!

Lovely lodge in a very secluded area , nicely decorated and has everything you need for a lovely quiet holiday.

Owner met us on arrival and let us know about the local area and best places to visit.

Peters communication was great from arrival to departure.

Peter met us at the lodge to show us around and make sure we knew how everything worked. He gave us lots of information on things to do, places to eat out and general site facilities. We also had a very nice welcome tray for a cuppa and cake/chocolate bars for the grandchildren and treats for Ted the dog. Lodge was very nicely decorated and everywhere extremely clean. My grandchildren said that the pool was little cold, but as there was hardly anyone on site, they had it to themselves. Ted loved the dog park, a mixture of a mowed path and long, overgrown grass, great for seeking out his ball. Laundrette on site and park for the kids. We only used the clubhouse one night (open Fri-Sun) great facilities for the kids, pool, darts and airhockey. You definitely need a car to get out and about. There are no footpaths outside the site, just busy, winding lanes. Free view tv, good selection of DVDs, books and games. Only criticism is there is no wi-fi (only by reception), not great having two teenagers in tow who are glued to their phones.

Lovely well looked after log cabin in a lovely area, very peaceful with plenty of places to go within driving distance.

We visited out of season and the park was a tranquil quiet place in a beautiful country setting.

Great lodge in a wonderful setting, if a comfortable peaceful environment is what you want then in my opinion this is it.

This place really was beautiful inside and out, the peace was magnificent, the pool was stunning loved everything about penlan park

Comfortable and wonderfully clean. Peaceful in a woodland full of birds and other wildlife….although the presence of our dogs probably kept them distant on walks.

Booked for my Birthday.

Took my brother who had just come out of hospital and my mum to give her a break. Just wanted so relaxing time with family and that's exactly what I got. Lovely welcome pack for Pete and Julia. Plenty of space and nice decking to relax on. Lovely site and plenty of information leaflets for things to do and see. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Very charming property in a lovely location, owner is really friendly and met us on the day to give us a tour of the place which was great even gave personal recommendations as where to visit in the area, place was clean, tidy and well organised, the place was well equipped everything you could possibly think of you might need they have, would definitely recommend

The Bird Box was a really good stay nice and comfortable with everything you could wish for, Peter the owner was very welcoming and we could want for nothing however the only downfall was that there was no wi fi which we found really important to us so there was no phone coverage also, the swimming pool was under refurbishment and the bar was unavailable, but these things were no fault of the Bird Box or indeed the owner Peter, this was down to the park going under refurbishment, but I would recommend if only the things mentioned were rectified.
