Description

Llanarth 1.3 miles; New Quay 4 miles; Aberaeron 4.5 miles.

Bedwen is one of three charming shepherd's huts in the serene countryside of Neuadd near Llanarth, close to the countryside and coast of Ceredigion.

With many sandy and pebble beaches nearby and local walks, including the wonderful Ceredigion Coast path stretching for 60 miles, this property is ideal for a couple and their four-legged friends looking for a getaway to Ceredigion.

Upon entering this single-storey abode, you will be greeted by an open-plan area thoughtfully designed to maximise space and ease.

The kitchen has an air fryer, kettle, toaster and fridge to prepare your meals, which can be enjoyed at the dining table while you plan the day's adventures.

From here, you can snuggle up in front of the TV, warmed by the glow of the woodburning stove.

When it's time to rest, the plush king-size bed, situated in the studio-style living space, welcomes you to catch your rest, decorated in a style that complements the rural surroundings.

The bathroom has a walk-in shower ideal for relaxing in after a long day exploring the local area, basin, and WC, offering a sleek and stylish space to freshen up.

Step outside to the enclosed gravel area and lawned garden surrounded by shrubs, mature trees and nature, where you can spend your evenings around the fire pit/barbecue, sharing stories and toasting marshmallows under the starry sky.

The outdoor furniture provides a perfect spot in this charming retreat for morning coffees or dining alfresco.

Explore nearby Aberaeron, a gorgeous 19th-century harbourside town with its famous multi-coloured Georgian houses all lining the seafront.

If you continue along the coast to bustling New Quay, you can tuck into local cuisine at a range of independent cafes and eateries and hop on board a boat trip out to see the resident bottle nosed dolphins in the Bay, before enjoying a calming amble along New Quay Harbour.

A drive further north will take you to Aberystwyth, with its picture-perfect Victorian promenade and magical views of Cardigan Bay from atop Constitution Hill.

Come home to Bedwen, your peaceful retreat nestled amidst the vibrant tapestry of Ceredigion's idyllic countryside.

Rest, revive and explore!

Thats what Bedwen allowed me to do after a stressful few months at work. On arrival I was met by the owner, Chris who welcomed us both. Over the years I've stayed in a good number of holiday rentals and do bring items that have been lacking in previous lets. There was no need to here, it has every item for a comfortable stay. The mattress was comfortable and the hut was so cosy at night with the lights dimmed. I can honestly say that I can't remember when I slept so well as i did that week. As a solo traveller, accompanied by my dog, I was drawn to this property by the private wood for guests use, and the very secure garden. Bedwen and the other two shepherds huts are very dog friendly. Bowls, a Mud Daddy jet wash and poo bags are kept either in the accommodation or in the secure shed next to it. There is also a poo bin at the entrance to the woods, which is the other side of the driveway. So handy when you don't want to drive that day, or if the dogs need a run before you enjoy a day out together sightseeing. Chris and Fern certainly know how to make you feel comfortable and welcome in their part of Wales. We look forward to returning early next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed the week, owners really care about guest experience, wonderful welcome pack including freshly baked bread and local treats.

Beautiful location very relaxing. The hut was extremely comfortable and excellent value for money, would definitely return.
