Couldn’t be nicer for dog owners with a wonderful secure and quiet garden. The location provides lovely walks down to the coast and beaches. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

The lodge was up together, clean and the kitchen well equipped.

The prosecco in the fridge made for a lovely welcome after a long drive! The garden was secure & well maintained - which both dogs loved to wander around in! Location was great, a short drive to Manorbier beach (we drove for ease with having kids & dogs in tow). Easy to get to Tenby, Broad Haven, Church Door Cove & Freshwater West. Would highly recommend (2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs).

Caldey Lodge was exceptionally clean .

For me with my dog it was perfect , very quiet and the enclosed garden was ideal . I am not sure how it would be for two couples . There is not enough comfortable seating in the living room and the tiny size fridge freezer is not very practical . The garden centre not far from the property was very convenient for breakfast or lunch .

Always thoroughly enjoy a break at these fab lodges, always lovely & clean when we arrive & we are soon relaxed & settled in.

Great area, lovely & quite, owners on hand if needed & very friendly. Hope to be back again in 2026.

3 x nights stay recently and it was beautiful .

. Spacious lounge dining kitchen area.. Huge utility room & bedrooms very good size.. Fantastic private garden too which was good for all including my dog.. We will definitely be returning.. Area is very good too as train station 8 minutes walk or 10 minutes drive to Tenby.. Thank you so much we had a superb time..

Beautiful lodge, lovely big enclosed back garden and front veranda so safe for pets and little ones.

Everything you needed was provided by the hosts. Great location, easy to reach Tenby, Pembroke Docs, and the surrounding areas. 5 minute walk to the train station.

We booked Caldey lodge for a week in July and our friends booked Ramsey lodge.

We were blessed with fantastic weather Both were beautiful lodges, home from home, there was the bonus of a lovely enclosed garden,which was great for our dogs. It would have been nice to have had some relaxing garden furniture to sit outside on. Everything else was perfect, the lodges were spacious with a lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and dog treats. Location was great, a private cul de sac, located in woodland. There is,a lovely garden centre (the Potting Shed)within a 2 minute walk, it has a lovely cafe serving breakfast and lunch. The lodge was a great base for exploring the local area. We would definitely come back.

We once again enjoyed Caldey Lodge.

It feels like home from home. Just like our first visit the lodge was clean tidy and welcoming everything you need for a week away. Health permitting we will be returning next year.

The lodges was amazing.

It had everything and more for our stay. The lovely touches like the welcome pack and dog treats. It was comfortable and cosy. The lodge was also very warm especially with the weather we had. Lovely that the owner came to say hello and also messaging us to make sure all ok. It is placed in a lovely spot and very peaceful. Would highly recommend.

Lodges are lovey.

Very clean and well furnished. I booked 2 lodges. One for my son,his wife and daughter while I stayed in the other lodge with my husband and my other 2 grandchildren. The games room was perfect for getting together.

Absolutely loved the cottage.

It was so clean and well maintained and was equipped with everything we needed. The location was also lovely with easy parking and well kept gardens. However we did not stay long enough. Next time it will be longer. Thanks again for making our short stay so welcoming.

The lodge was spotless, comfortable & well equipped. The welcome tray & cold bubbly were a nice surprise. John & Barry gave us lots of information on places to visit & directions. We've saved some for another time because we will definitely be back sometime in the future.

Exceptionally clean, well maintained, modern and comfortable.

Enclosed private garden was fantastic for our dog reactive pooch. Welcome tray including dog treats was a lovely touch. With only three lodges on the site, it was beautifully peaceful. Would definately recommend.

This was our second visit to Bier Wood Lodges and it was as perfect as the first visit!

The 3 lodges are set in a beautiful, quiet and tranquil area. They are beautifully maintained, bright, airy and spotlessly clean. As dog-friendly accommodation - they are all absolutely 5 star and more. And everyone who stays, says the same - ‘just can’t be beaten’. The enclosed gardens are a wonderful bonus for your fur babies and the close access to a selection of beautiful dog-friendly beaches is just fantastic.

Lovely spotlessly clean, well maintained lodge in a great location.

Close to lots of great beaches, Stackpole, Freshwater East, Penally, Tenby and Manorbier Castle all nearby. Warm and with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. Well suited for dogs, with wooden floors and enclosed garden. Would definitely return.

Caldey Lodge is a high end lodge that is cosy and comfy with plenty of space for the family.

The hosts couldn't be more helpful and the games room was a hit with the children! Great setting - easy access to Tenby and neighbouring areas. Would highly recommend!

Loved Bierwood Lodges.

Very clean, comfortable, with everything you need for a dog friendly stay. It's particularly nice to have a large private garden. The little courtyard of three lodges is also lovely and very well kept. The location is great for exploring Pembrokeshire. There's a lovely garden centre almost "next door" with an excellent cafe, also dog friendly. Would definitely stay again. Thank-you.

Beautiful accommodation in lovely surroundings.

It made our stay comfortable and relaxed and was secure for our dog. In a great location to visit places of interest. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family.

Spotless well cared for property in quite rural location 20 min walk to beach

Quite simply the BEST dog-friendly holiday home we have ever used.

It is the first time that we wanted to stay in as much as go out! The lodge is bright and airy and is kept spotlessly clean and fresh. The enclosed garden and the gated balcony were a massive bonus and made being there so relaxing. Our dogs really loved it and claimed it as their own immediately! The utility room was fantastic to keep all the dog paraphernalia out of the main living space, adding to the tranquil relaxed feeling of just being in the lodge. The 3 lodges are beautifully positioned in a private courtyard with pretty flowerbeds to admire from all angles. They are owned and run by a lovely family who are on site and are very welcoming and helpful. They have dogs, so they understand what is needed, and have thought of all the little things that make taking your dogs away with you so easy and pleasurable. I cannot praise their efforts enough. Thank you to Barry and the whole family for providing such a wonderful place for dog owners to enjoy first class holiday facilities. This is the only dog friendly home we have used that we definitely want to return to! The local shop in Manorbier is very well stocked and the beach ( 5 mins in the car) there was fabulous to walk with the dogs. Tenby South beach and Freshwater East beach were also beautiful and easy to access. It has been an amazing holiday experience, and the beautiful lodge was the key. Cannot wait to go again next year!

The lodge was just as lovely as last year.

Everything was clean and tidy and the owners came round to check all was OK. The welcome tray was very much appreciated. Looking forward to our stay next year.

We stayed in caldey Lodge from the 27th of April to the 1st of May, what a lovely Lodge it's probably the best we have stayed in, there was every thing in there you needed and it was spotless and the inclosed back garden for our dog was brilliant.

Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

A very good lodge.

Really enjoyed the stay and will I am sure book again. It was very warm and cozy. Suited us well. The secure garden is very reassuring when you have dogs. Location is v good and easy to find.

3rd stay at one of these lodges, they are always clean & tidy & the enclosed garden is ideal when taking a pet.

They are a home from home. The owners are nearby if any problems arise & they are very friendly. We will definitely be booking again in the future

We had a very good stay at Caldey Lodge, although it was reluctantly shortened due to unforeseen circumstances.

The owners were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The welcome gifts were much appreciated. The lodge was very warm and cosy and the garden was perfect for letting our two dogs out. It was a great place to stay in February, I imagine it would be even better in warmer weather.

It is immaculately kept. The enclosed garden was excellent for our dog to explore. The welcome pack on arrival is a lovely touch, they even put out some biscuits for our dog. I would not hesitate in recommending this Lodge, the owners have thought of everything.

Lodge was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. In addition to the lodge there was garden area which was ideal for the dog to run around in easily. The living area was spacious and rooms comfortable. Have never stayed in this part of Pembrokeshire before, we visited Tenby, but what impressed most were the beaches, thanks to Barry for recommendations. Favourite beach, Freshwater West (inc sunset). Favourite pub, Stackpole Inn.

This is our fourth time at Bierwood Lodges.

We just absolutely love the place! A very high standard of cleanliness which is very important to me. All the bed linen smells clean and fresh and feels like a home from home. Manorbier is one of the most beautiful parts of Wales and my dogs love it there. Would highly recommend.

Caldey Lodge exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, space and cleanliness.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by John, one of the owners who made us very welcome. The enclose garden was a big bonus as we could sit out on the patio and our dog could roam freely. The owners were helpful and on hand to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a few games of boules (provided) when back at the lodge. While we did not use the games room I am sure we would have done so if the weather had not been so good.

Just back from a brilliant weeks holiday in Caldey Lodge.

The lodge was just perfect, large spacious lodge with a good size private inclosed garden with bbq was just perfect for our Labrador. We all had a fantastic stay. Everything has been thought of, a real home from home. Great location and lovely friendly owners. Would highly recommend to all.

The lodge itself was in a beautiful location and inside did not disappoint, lay out was lovely, plenty of room and spotlessly clean. Lovely garden for both our dogs to play in and everything had been so well thought out….didn’t want for anything!. The owners were very friendly and informative about the surrounding countryside and beach walks. Will definitely be going back, had such a wonderful time.

Absolutely beautiful lodge, exceptionally clean with fabulous facilities.

Lovely quiet place to stay for a perfect relaxing stay, lovely garden area with barbecue (take your own charcoal) and fire pit (wood provided). Really appreciated the welcome tray with tea, coffee, sugar, bara brith and butter, and milk and Prosecco in the fridge. Highly recommended

Excellent accommodation, very clean and brilliant enclosed garden for the dogs.

Owner regularly checked everything was ok and nothing was too much trouble. Even has a private field on the premises for letting the dogs have an early morning runaround. Would highly recommend.

The lodge was really well equipped, and the beds were very comfortable.

Nice touches with milk , and tea and coffee for when you arrived, also Prosecco in the fridge, and treats left for Poppy our little dog. Everything went very smoothly and we were very pleased. would definitely recommend.

A perfect location to enjoy the Pembrokeshire coastline.

The lodge was beautifully clean with everything you needed for a perfect stay. The added touch of a welcome tray upon arrival was very thoughtful. We would thoroughly recommend this lodge to anybody seeking a perfect holiday.

We were very impressed with the property and found it had everything we needed.

It was a nice of the family to come and check that we were settled and we really appreciated the welcome tray especially the bara brith and not forgetting the dog biscuits. It was nice to be assured that if any problem arose we could contact the family right away. We felt like it was like home from home and we will certainly recommend it.

The enclosed garden is perfect for having a dog. The location is great for access to the amazing coastal walks on offer. I genuinely love staying at the Lodge, we want for nothing. The location of the Lodge is ideal for beach days, town visits or castle trips. Jon, Liz, Barry and Jacinta are very welcoming on arrival and always available if needed! Thank you for you time and effort.

Quiet, peaceful week in close proximity to the beautiful coastline.

We had a Great time went to some beautiful places.

Our lodge was very nice and great having garden for the dogs. It was lovely of owner to leave some treats for us Homemade cake was very nice. Looking forward to visiting Wales again. The Does.

Great location away from the main towns but close enough to pick up the Coastal path and to visit other locations.

The beach is approx 15-20 mins walk away and mostly off road across fields, through woods, or you can walk directly on the road but this does not have a footpath all the way, but we found it to be a relatively quiet lane. From the beach you can then pick up the Coastal path in both directions and enjoy some stunning views and some magnificent coastline. The lodge was actually much bigger than I thought it would and ample room for 2 adults and 1 dog. The kitchen was well equipped to be able to function as self catering for a week with no issues, there is a fish and chip shop just over the road if you fancy a night off from cooking ! (Buttyland Holiday Park but is open to all). The boot room/utility room was definitely a great idea when the design of these lodges were put together as how many times have we all wondered what to do with wet walking gear after a day out !!! Wish more holiday accommodations would think of this. The enclosed garden, and I mean properly enclosed garden with a decent size fence etc was well appreciated by us and our dog !! Owners were very helpful with any queries/questions on the local area. A very pleasant stay and I'll definitely be recommending to our friends and family. Oh and the welcome tray was very welcome - the barra brith tea bread was lovely !!!

Caldey and Bier wood went beyond our expectations down to every thoughtful detail.

Cleanliness was exceptional and the large utility room was brilliant for storage of dog requirements. Recycling was well thought out and the use of the herb garden was a treat. Manorbier is well placed for the beautiful bays, long walks and carefree holidays.

Location of Bier Wood Lodges is spot on to enjoy the sights and attractions.

The location gives you the opportunity to walk for miles or a short drive to Tenby, Pembroke or Manorbier for a few enjoyable hours out. Caldey Lodge is clean and well equipped for our daily wants and needs. Lovely back garden to enjoy the sun. Ample parking too. We arrived with no fuss, due to the clear communication we received from Barry. The tea, coffee, milk and Bara Brith on arrival put a smile on our face (especially the Bara Brith, thank you). Our week away as been a treat and we want to return in the new year! Definitely recommend Bier Wood Lodges! Thank you all involved!

We weren’t expecting the broadband to be so good, we could watch the players on the TV. Great location for days out in Tenby and the surrounding area.

Can’t rate Calder Cottage any higher.

Everything was brand new, spotlessly clean and perfect. The garden was full enclosed which meant our dogs couldn’t get out (they normally always do when visiting supposed dog friendly places). Barry and team could not be more accommodating. There’s even a dog field on site! The area is ideally situated to see the delights of this beautiful part of the world. Beaches and scenery are breathtaking. We’ll be going back in a couple of months for sure!!

The lodge was brand new and was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

The garden was very private and enclosed . The owner who lived on the site was very helpful. The only minus for me was not having a dishwasher. Would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay!

Barry, the host, was extremely welcoming and friendly right from the beginning and throughout our stay. The lodge was amazing, extremely clean, very spacious and modern and we were provided with everything we needed and more - the hosts really went above and beyond. Barry provided some great recommendations for days out and where to eat which being new to the area we really appreciated. The BEST part of this accommodation is that it is dog friendly with a fully secure great size garden which meant our dog was able to run around and spend time outside without us worrying about him running away. Hugo (our dog) also appreciated the dog treats that was left for him. We would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be returning for another visit if we can!
