Ramsey Lodge (Bier Wood Lodges)

We have been coming here since march 2022.

There are 3 lodges all with the same layout & have stayed in them all over the years depending on availability. Lovely area & idilic location. Lodges always clean & tidy.We settle in straight away. There are always essential items supplied & a starter pack. Have already booked another 2 holidays here for later in the season. John the owner always checks everything at the lodge is OK after we have arrived & we know we can contact him at anytime if there are any problems.

Lovely lodge.

We have been there four times now, we have never been disappointed. The lodge is very clean and you’ll find everything you need inside. There are 3 lodges and all have parking outside. This a quiet place, near Tenby, Saundersfoot, Pembroke and other more busy coastal places. It is dog friendly with an enclosed garden. Barry the owner is a very nice person and John who you can call for anything that you need. For food, the Grandiflora garden centre is the best, home cooked food, no dog allowed inside but you can take your food back. I would recommend this lodge to anyone.

Absolutely superb condition and in a very quiet and peaceful setting.

The facilities and condition of the property are excellent and very well thought through. Would definitely recommend it and look to stay again in the future.

This was our 3rd stay at bierwood lodges, and already looking to book again.

These lodges have everything you could need and are spotlessly clean, can't wait to return

Ramsey Lodge provided everything I need for my holiday walking part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

The lodge was bright & airy, clean, well appointed and I just felt very relaxed there. Practical benefits; easy parking, separate laundry room for wet clothes, close to Manorbier station and bus stop for exploring without having to use a car (although a car is probably necessary for supplies/eating out) and in a good location for visiting the area without long journey times. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely lodge.

Spotlessly clean. Near to all local attractions & facilities.

The lodge was spotless when we arrived and met all our needs.

It was nice to have some milk and biscuits, for a cup of tea following a long drive. The real point of difference was the dog friendly environment and the enclosed garden, which Bramble (our Cockerpoo) really enjoyed. We have stayed in lots of different places on our various trips, and this was the best so far, from a pet perspective. Thank you Jacinta and Barry for making our trip, so easy.

The lodge is in a nice peaceful location, situated about a mile from Manorbier beach and castle.

The lodge was well equipped, furnished and clean, with a nice secluded garden, and the owner was very nice. Would definitely recommend.

This is an excellent lodge, in a great location to get around.

Immaculate clean and comfortable accommodation.

Very peaceful setting but ample private outside space if needed. Very accessible for bus services which we used to complete Pembrokeshire coastal walk.

This is the second time of staying at bierwood lodges.

Lodge is perfect in every way great enclosed garden for the dogs enjoyed the fire pit and the barbecue the lodge itself has everything you could need fantastic owners who are there for anything you need will definitely be coming back for a third stay.

Fourth stay at Ramsey and ideal for us both and the Schnautzer.

Will be booking again in the Autumn.

Barrabrith and Prosecco a bonus! Friendly owners, nothing too much trouble. Our 4th stay, we will be back.

This is an excellent holiday home.

Very clean, very comfortable. The owners were helpful and friendly. It’s also a good base to explore the local area. The garden is secure and safe for the dogs. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue and will definitely revisit.

This is the second year we have stayed at Bier Wood Lodges and would definitely stay again.

The lodges are impeccably maintained, and the owners are always available should any problem arise.

The lodge was spotless when we arrived, very spacious and the owners extremely welcoming.

Had a great time, the rec room came in handy on our one rainy day and the garden boule was awesome. Would definitely return.

Fabulous little hideaway , peaceful and restful.

Lodge was to an excellent standard , everything you needed , lovely hosts , with 2 beautiful dogs . Our dog loved it !! Highly recommended

Lovely lodge in very nice location

This was a perfect place to stay, it had everything you needed for a comfy stay and if you have dogs it is perfect as the garden is completely secure and has a fire pit, barbecue and garden table and even the front has a fence with a gate on it.

It is very quiet as there are only 3 lodges in that space and feels very secure, the hosts were lovely and gave us lots of information as to where to go to walk to the beach or a small drive where you can park and walk to Tenby where the beach is amazing

The property was beautifully presented, well appointed and clean with all evidence of previous guests removed - as I would expect, but can be lacking in dog friendly holiday accommodations sometimes unfortunately, but not at Brierwood Lodges.

The owners struck the perfect balance between helpfulness when required and allowing privacy, which is a tricky act to pull off sometimes, and I say that from experience as a Landlady myself.

Ramsey Lodge was just as it said in the property information could not fault it at all property was spotless the garden was a lovely safe area for our dog the owners could not do enough for you.

A fantastic place to stay, the accommodation is very comfortable, clean and welcoming, with the extras of tea, coffee, milk, cake and Prosecco left in the lodge for us on arrival.

Excellent are for exploring too. Would highly recommend and planning to return next year.

Ramsey Lodge is very comfortable and well appointed.

The standard of furnishings is excellent. For those with dogs, the lodge is ideally situated, as the beach/coast path is within walking distance. The only issue we had was the lack of WiFi for the entirety of our stay. One of the owners did try to assist, but the signal is clearly not strong enough. This prevented us accessing any of the TV apps. This would not normally be a problem, but as the weather was so bad we had to spend more time indoors.

We had an excellent 5 nights at Ramsey Lodge.

It was perfect for our 17 month old cocker spaniel, Evie, with the secluded front veranda & rear garden. The lodge was in pristine condition & John & Liz were very welcoming. The location is great for exploring the various nearby beaches. All in all, we had a lovely break.

We stayed at Ramsey Lodge for a week.

The accommodation was perfect for us and our adult daughter. Lodge very clean and tidy. Comfortable living area and helpful to have WiFi, smart tv etc. the small site is nicely maintained with flowers in pots around each lodge making it look appealing. We took our dog so it was good that both the front patio and back garden are gated so she couldn’t escape. John and Barry were both helpful and welcoming. We know the area anyway from having previously stayed in Manorbier, but for anyone new to the area it is great for visiting the many beautiful Pembrokeshire beaches, and just 15 mins drive from Tenby. Would recommend.

What a fantastic place.

Peace and quiet, beautiful lodge where your every need is catered for, private garden, perfect for your furry kids and a kid to play in safety. We 100% recommend Bierwoid Lodges and will definitely return. Ian, Judi, Misty and Billy

Had a visit from the owners to check all was good. Very well equipped. Lovely to be able to take our dog, and not have to worry about him in the garden, all very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend and will return

Fabulous lodge, furnished to a high standard and immaculately clean.

Perfect little lodge for our short break taken at the last minute which Barry and family kindly accommodated.

Excellent for the dog and 2 boys aged 6 and 11. Everything has been thought of lovely welcome pack and boys loved the games room. The location is ideal. Loved Manorbier beach which is close by.

A fabulous stay at Ramsey Lodge.

Quiet, peaceful and located in a beautiful part of Wales. We arrived to a wonderful lodge and greeted by the owner who was really accomodating and helpful. He had also left us a Welcome Pack, which was greatly appreciated and included homemade bara brith and a bottle of wine. The lodge itself was immaculate and perfect for families, couples and families with pets (we took our fur baby who loved the garden). We thoroughly enjoyed our break and the peace and quiet. Some highlights to visit within walking/driving distance: Manorbier Beach and Castle (beautiful), Freshwater West and Saundersfoot. We will be back again.

Great location not too far from Tenby, nice peaceful.

Lodge was lovely & clean & tidy when we arrived & the welcome tray & little extras were greatly appreciated. The added bonus is the enclosed garden & veranda that each lodge has. We had a lovely relaxing week, couldn't have asked for better weather. The owners came around the day after we arrived to check all OK & we saw them in passing a couple of times during the week & had a lovely chat each time. Will definitely be booking again. This was already our 2nd stay as stayed in skomer back in March this year

We stayed in April, the lodge was lovely and had everything we needed.

Well designed lodge and decor. Particularly liked the utility room by the door, very useful. Good sized enclosed garden for our dog. Would recommend and would stay again. Lovely little village , good location for visiting Tenby and Saunderfoot.

Travelled with my husband and our small dog and an absolutely lovely lodge all dog proof we had a lovely stay very peaceful and in a good location to visit all the attractions would thoroughly recommend

Bierwood are lovely lodges in a beautiful setting.

The lodge was very comfortable and spotless with everything you could possibly need. The hosts were very friendly and helpful John even put a trellis up to prevent our puppy escaping off the balcony. The lodges are in an excellent position to explore the lovely towns and beaches in the area. Altogether a wonderful relaxing holiday. Thank you.

Absolute little gem!

We had a wonderful stay. The lodge had everything we needed and more! Excellent if you have dogs as the enclosed garden is safe and there is a handy utility room to feed pooches and dry them off after walks. Beds so comfortable....we actually asked where they were from as they were so nice! Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Fabulous location as you are so central to so many places. We will definitely rebook if we are in the area without hesitation.

Beautiful lodges, great holiday

We had an amazing few days at Ramsey lodge, it was clean, comfy, stylish and had everything we needed for a few days relaxing.

The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and the little pot of dog treats was a nice touch. The fenced off garden & veranda area was perfect for a playful Dalmatian. The location was great, it was very peaceful & only a short drive to the main areas. The owners were very friendly & approachable. They live on site so on hand if needed at all.

We stayed in Ramsey Lodge from 19th to 22nd February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The lodge was immaculate and had everything we needed. Barry and Jacinta went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It is in a brilliant location for Folly Farm and the Dinosaur Park in Tenby, which was the reason for our stay with our two young children. We will definitely recommend it and stay again.

Fabulous lodge best we have stayed in.

Everything you could want was there. The bars brith was lush and Dylan liked his treats. Would definitely recommend. We hope to go back later in the year.

We had a fantastic time from start to finish.

The location is very peaceful and the cottage is located in a lovely setting. The homemade cake and prosecco were a lovely touch. Unfortunately, on one of the days Barry was informed that the electricity would be off during the day. Not a problem for us as we intended exploring the magnificent coastline. Barry and family ensured that on this particular day bacon rolls and coffee would be supplied. What a star! The cottage reflects the attention to detail that Barry and his family offer. We would have no hesitation in passing on our recommendation and wish them well for the future.

Barry and family were so accommodating and nothing was too much. The lodges are beautiful and the area is stunning. We will definitely come again. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay.

The lodge is beautifully furnished and equipped and Barry could not have been more helpful and welcoming!

The garden is perfect, fully enclosed so we could relax knowing our dog was safe. A great base for exploring Pembrokeshire! Can’t recommend high enough!

Great locations and nice and new and clean

A lovely lodge very comfortable with all the home comforts you can think of.

The accommodation was clean, tidy, well furnished, the kitchen had all the utensils we needed, there was a bbq in the garden which we used.

There was a lovely welcoming tray of tea, coffee, sugar, dog biscuits and Welsh cakes and in the fridge there was milk and prosecco. The garden was private and enclosed which was perfect for our dog. The games room was great too. The walk to Manorbier shop, pub, castle and beach was not far but there were no footpaths. We would definitely go back and see what else has been added to this lovely little set of three lodges. The owners were very kind, friendly and helpful.
