Dragonfly Shepherd's Hut

Dragonfly Hut was perfect, so peaceful and private.

The hut was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom was really spacious for a shepherd's hut. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog so we could relax. Teresa and Nigel were so helpful and thoughtful from beginning to end, thank you both! We would definitely recommend a stay here and we will be back to enjoy this beautiful property again.

Everything was beautiful lovely and clean, everything you needed so piece full and my dog Lucy was able to run around freely.

Immaculately presented Shepherd's Hut in a secluded, peaceful location.

Perfect for a relaxed break for two. Lying in the outdoor bath watching the sunset was a perfect end to the day.

An absolute gem, I have never stayed in such a tranquil place and never had so much provided by the host, everything you need and all fantastic quality from the food treats, toiletries, towels, dog treats, dog toys and the most enclosed garden area we have ever had so no worrying about our Dachshund escaping, you won’t find better, thank you so much Teresa for a fantastic break, we will definitely be back

We’re just back from the Dragonfly hut and we had a wonderful time.

We’ve been to quite a few shepherds huts over the last 3 years and we rate this one the best. There was all the amenities you could want and we made use of all of them. The outside bath was a godsend on the day it was 35 degrees . Wouldn’t have coped without it. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved this place.

We arrived to a beautiful shepherds hut in amazing surroundings. The weather wasn't kind to us but that didn't stop us enjoying the place. It has everything you need including a fabulous outside bath which we used every day. The gas bbq was easy to work and we used that often too. Our dog loved running around in the secure garden. Lots of wildlife to see and places to visit. We loved it so much we've booked again for our annivrsary in August.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Dragonfly Shepherds Hut.

A welcome basket of welshcakes, and essentials was a lovely touch even our Dog had welcome gifts to which he soon sniffed out a new ball. Very stylish, clean and well thought out accommodation, a comfortable bed, lots of finishing touches making our stay cosy. There was plenty of freedom for our anxious border collie to roam around the Hut and in the field too

Second time we have stayed , it's a fantastic little gem of a place.

Everything you need for a relaxing stay. The setting is amazing, with a fantastic view and you are treated to birdsong and the lovely sound of sheep. We absolutely love it and will definitely be back. Thankyou to our lovely hosts.

In my opinion "Dragonfly Shepherds Hut" is simply perfect.

Lovely, quiet location, fantastic layout for your pooch. The quality and range of the facilities are brilliant. Star gazing with a glass in hand whilst relaxing in a Hot tub (bath) takes some beating. The owners are very helpful if needed, otherwise discreet. Can`t wait to return one day. 12/10

Our stay at the Dragonfly hut was absolutely perfect!

Waking up each morning to the sunshine and watching the lambs in the field from the bed with a coffee in hand was the perfect way to start the day! The owners were fabulous and were only a message away if we needed anything. The hut itself is perfectly kitted out with everything you could need there for you! The doggy welcome pack was an added bonus, Merlin certainly took advantage of the ball and the treat jar! It was also a nice reassurance having the secure fence around the cabin so our dog could freely explore and we could switch off! We really appreciated the little added extras such as the bath salts and bubble bath for the outside tub and the marshmallows for the fire pit! You can really tell that they've considered every aspect of your stay! Location wise, it is in a prime location for exploring the Welsh coastline with easy access to the Welsh coastal path! There are shops, bars and restaurants within a ten minutes drive also so it's a perfect place to base yourself from!

Dragonfly Shepherd's Hut is perfect in every sense.

The location, the facilities, the cleanliness and the level of attention to detail are stunning. Teresa is the perfect host, available, attentive (but not overly so), friendly and helpful. Everything was precisely as described or better. The week we spent at Dragonfly was utterly memorable and we hope to be back as soon as possible if Teresa will have us!

Beyond expectations!

The most beautiful, well thought out and pristine piece of paradise and you will not find better or more wonderful hosts. I 100% recommend this place it is absolutely fantastic. Great secure area for the dog if needed too. Location also brilliant with so much within less than an hour radius but the locations is so quiet and peaceful.

This was the most immaculate ,well thought out little place we have ever stayed at.

Everything you could possibly need is there.The host is lovely and very thoughtful and kind.Its secure for your dog to roam around without having to worry. The bed was super comfy and very high quality bedding. It was cosy and warm.The outside bath is great and the bbq area and then you can relax by the fire pit with some marshmallows which the owner supplies. There is not a single negative word I could use about dragonfly hut it is beautiful and very high end luxury.The owner helped me out on places to eat and visit after I texted her .she is very thoughtful i have never came across such a lovely thoughtful kind owner before .The place was immaculate.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful hut.

The hut was super clean, smelled amazing and was equipped with everything you would need. We had an amazing 5 night stay here but could have easily done more. The inclosed fencing and access to the field with the pond was amazing for the doggo and give a really tranquil vibe. Teresa was so lovely and attentive. Lovely area, plenty of local walks and some lovely neighbouring places to visit. 10/10 stay, i have already recommended it to everyone. I hope we will be back soon for another relaxing break away!

It’s absolutely fantastic. The shepherds hut, outdoor bath, fire pit and secure garden for the dog are all amazing. The local area is stunning with loads of fishing villages and beaches to visit. Beautiful views and lovely people. Highly recommended ❤️

Great place for a few day’s relaxing.

Lovely area of the world too, 10 minutes or less from the coast. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Hut had everything you need. The outside area was great, really enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit watching the stars. Would definitely stay again.

We had such a lovely long weekend at The Dragonfly Shepherds Hut!

If you're looking for a relaxing time, to switch off and relax this is perfect. The hut is well equipped, spotlessly clean and Theresa the host is super helpful. You're close to Aberaeron and New Quay which have lots of nice pubs/restaurants. Lovely beach and coastal walks nearby. We also thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday Lunch at The Stubborn Duckling. Definitely will be returning!

We've had a wonderful few days at 'The Dragon Fly Hut', it's been a soft soothing caress of summer for our suburban souls!

The one thing the listing doesn't make quite clear is the level of seclusion and privacy on offer at the 'Hut'. The only living creatures we've seen, other the Teresa the owner when we arrived (and she was lovely too) were the three Red Kites circling above the field, the two buzzards and the family of swallow dipping for insects in the pond. Oh and a couple of magpies! Just wonderful. The bath tub is voluminous and hot too! I hope we can come back some day.

The Dragonfly Shepherd Hut is an idyllic place to stay!

We have loved our little vacation so peaceful, relaxing and quiet. We loved all the thoughtful little touches and the garden area.

A private, quiet space, so relaxing we had a lovely lazy holiday.

Secure grounds for our little dog. Convenient for sea and countryside. Super hosts. We especially liked the covered outdoor area - useful when it rained.

Great selection of facilities both in the hut and outdoors. It’s also in a great location for exploring other parts of Wales too, I would highly recommended booking!

if you want to relax and not have anyone around with your pet this is one of the best places we have been.

for the first time we met that there was no one around, just us.. welcome treats for us and treats for the pet, towel, blanket, ball ... the outdoor bathtub is just a fairy tale. nothing to add nothing to take away... beautiful place, peace, quiet, and the dog chasing sheep

We loved our time at Dragonfly Hut.

The hut itself had everything you could need and was very clean and comfy. The outside space was amazing, the dog was able to run around as it’s completely fenced off and the fire pit allowed us to stay out much later into the night. Highly recommended.

The location is beautiful and quiet, the hut had everything we needed and more. It's been the perfect getaway from everyday life. We will definitely be back again!

Had the most gorgeous time at Dragonfly, as a solo traveler with my dog it was absolutely perfect and felt really safe.

The hut itself was immaculately and the hamper of treats was such a lovely personal touch. The outdoor bath tub and fire pit were dreamy and the hamper for the pup and the enclosed garden were such a luxury! Thank you so much for such a gorgeous stay, we had lovely day trips around the stunning area but also loved coming back to the hut and chilling on a night ☺️ I’d definitely recommend xxx

Perfect in every way!

We fell in love with this place as soon as we got there. It was so beautiful and had everything we needed, and more. The enclosed garden was perfect for our puppy who could run around all weekend without us having to worry. The hut was perfect and so cosy, especially in the evenings when it got a bit cooler. We loved the outdoor bath and fire pit. The small touches were what made it extra special: mini hot water bottles, bath robes, blankets and tea and coffee for when we got there. A hamper with hot choc, marshmallows, crisps and Welsh cakes went down an absolute treat. And a basket for the dog with treats, blankets and poo bags. There were plenty of beautiful areas to visit during the day as well. We walked around the national park and went to the beach at New Quay which were both fab and within 15 minutes away. There was a shop 5 minutes away for us to grab some food in for the weekend as well. We got engaged on our first night there and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. We were surprised with a bottle of bubbles and a balloon by the owner which was such a lovely and thoughtful surprise! Thank you for such a wonderful stay and for making it so special. We definitely recommend and will hopefully be able to visit again in the future :)

This property was amazing!

!! I couldn't recommend this more. Reactive dog friendly, enclosed garden with lots of space to explore and extra goodies for the dog on arrival *bed, blankets, poo bags, treats, ball thrower). The property was incredibly clean and well equipped with all you could need. The host welcomed us with a tray of goodies (hot choclate, crisp, drinks, sweets). The bed and pillows were so comfy. The hut was very warm with underfloor heating. Outdoor area is fab! The bath is lovely and relaxing with it being sheltered from the elements. I have recommended this to friends and I will definitely be rebooking!!

This stay was just what l needed.

There were so many small touches that made a big differences, from bath salts to biscuits for the dog everything was beautifully done. The bed was the most comfortable l have had when staying away, even in the wet and dreary weather l could sit in bed with a hot water bottle and the door open looking at the lovely view. My dog loved being outside day and night just watching the world go by undercover even in the rain. I would love to come back for my first solo holiday it was perfect.

From the moment we stepped onto the property we felt a sense of peace.

The Red Damsel Flies over the pond and the birds diving for food. Our greyhound loved the space for his zoomies, the little bird on the pond diving happily. The hut is immaculate and very well designed for comfort and relaxation. Unfortuantely the Welsh Weather did its best to annoy us but failed as we just chilled and read our books. Visited Cardigan and then Aberaeron for the compulsory holiday Fish & Chips. The barbeque is great and the outdoor bath is something to be experienced, so well built and positioned. Hosts were friendly and helpful but also leaving us to be alone, which is what we needed to recharge our batteries. Not having TV was a bonus. We will definitely be visiting again, our greyhound didnt want to leave once he settled. Thank you to all at DragonFly Hut. What a peaceful place.

The ultimate retreat .

.. a bit of countryside, a bit of coast, a bit of pretty village life. And an exquisite home-from-home that reminds you what life's for. Teresa and Nigel put every essential and every thoughtful touch into making Dragonfly Shepherd's Hut a little paradise. I've been to a lot of airbnbs all over the world, many with extensive floor plans and lists of amenities, but this one on our doorstep in Wales is by far the most personal experience that I feel genuinely changed by. While the Hut is small and rustic, it's immaculately designed an built with a full shower room, super-hot water, a fridge, cool-to7ch cooker, huge comfy bed and little luxuries I didn't get in the hotel I stayed in to break my journey on the way home. Marshmallows, forks, hot chocolate and wood for the fire pit. Bubbles and salts for the outdoor bath in which you can soak and watch the sun set over the lake. And a snack basket including local crisps, fruit fizz and Welsh cakes. Even my dog felt spoilt with his sagely enclosed garden to run around in, huge jar of treats, dog towel, blanket and bowl. I didn't bbq but it's all there, along with lots of garden furniture that turns the indoors out. Even a secure parking right at the gate. No overlooking houses. Privacy, serenity and lush green fields surround the lake - with a wooden bench to welcome an afternoon musing. Teresa called before our visit to answer my questions about what to pack (answer: not much!) And both she and Nigel checked in with us now and then to see if we needed anything. And if I might say, Sykes was more responsive, more caring and more helpful than airbnb has ever been - so I'm a fan now and have their app. I'll definitely be going back to the Dragonfly Shepherd's Hut... if I haven't just helped it get fully booked for all time. Though to be sure, much deserved praise!

This is our second time at Dragonfly hut

We enjoyed a really comfortable few days at the Dragonfly Hut.

Everything was of a very high standard and obviously a lot of thought and care had gone into the property. The fenced area around the property meant that our dog could explore safely and we were able to relax and enjoy our holiday.

This is now our favourite Shepherds Hut.

Very relaxing, private and peaceful just stunning. The hut is lovely & well equipped the bed is extremely comfortable. The added bonus of an undercover BBQ area with outside bath is just perfect. We certainly made good use of the bath. ( Better than a Hot Tub ). The garden is safe and enclosed for your dog and our little dog loved the doggy basket. The lake is lovely to walk around or just to sit and watch the Dragonfly's and Frogs. Teresa & Nigel are perfect hosts and lovely people. Teresa went above & beyond when our little dog needed an emergency vet thankyou so much. We cannot wait to return & highly recommend this beautiful place.

From the moment you arrive, the place feels spotless, welcoming, and peaceful, with a lovely scent in the air.

The hosts go above and beyond, providing everything from marshmallows for the fire to salts and bubbles for the incredible outdoor bath. They even reached out before our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, and the friendly dogs that greeted us were a bonus! The garden is perfect for dogs, fully enclosed, and the fire pit and BBQ were highlights. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough—it’s the perfect spot to unwind!

Perfect weekend away for us!

The secure garden meant we could let the dog out in the morning without a worry. Everything has been thought off and you have everything you need. Welcome pack was great and the Doggy basket is a lovely touch. We will be back for sure!

The property is just lovely.

There was a thoughtful welcome pack and everything we needed was there for us. We needed a true break and time to relax and this was the perfect place. The view across the field and the lake (with the one little duck who we named Timmy Mallard), with visiting wildlife to watch was peaceful and pretty. It was close enough to a few places so we could go out for a few hours and mooch around some beautiful towns. We opted to visit a few castles and soak up some history. It was great for what we needed and ideally would like the dragonfly shepherds hut recreated in various locations around the uk so we can explore more!

We have fallen in love with this stunning little place.

From the moment you walk in, everywhere was immaculately clean and there was a lovely relaxing smell. The hosts had thought of everything, from a welcome package with marshmallows for the fire, to salts and bubbles for the outdoor bath (which was to die for). They even contacted us before our trip to check we had everything we needed and to give us information, they were very attentive, and upon arrival we werr greeyed by some beautiful doggies who came to say hello

Absolutely an amazing place to stay!

The hosts are excellent, the property is clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend you staying here! Peaceful quiet. Amazing outside bath! Fire pit…BBQ! The garden is fully enclosed so superb for your dog and the hosts even cater for them! Great stay and cannot recommend this place highly enough….you won’t be disappointed
