Description

13 Gower Holiday Village is a lovely holiday cabin located in the charming village of Scurlage near Swansea, Gower.

Nestled in the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, this property is ideal for friends and family seeking both a country escape and a seaside retreat.

Step into an open-plan living space where you'll find everything you need in the well-equipped kitchen to whip up delicious meals for you and your family to enjoy around the dining table or the picnic table in the rear garden if the weather allows.

Then retreat to the living area, and cuddle up on the sofa for a family movie night.

As the evening draws to a close, unwind with a steaming bath or shower in the family bathroom, then catch your rest in either well-presented bedrooms.

Make use of the on-site amenities and spend an afternoon having fun in the games room or lounging by the swimming pool.

In the nearby village of Port Eynon, you'll find a few activities and eateries without having to venture too far.

Enjoy a hearty meal at The Ship Inn pub and eat out in the beer garden when the sun is shining or have some fish and chips at Captains Table.

Visit the stunning ruins of Port Eynon Salt House, then put on your swimming costume and make your way to Port Eynon Beach.

Drive up to the beautiful headland village of Mumbles and take a hike through Mumbles Hill Local Nature Reserve to gawk at stunning, undisturbed views of the coast, visit the remains of the 1106 Oystermouth Castle, then end the trip with a stroll through the bustling high street where you'll find a handful of local artisans selling anything from jewellery to souvenirs to baked goods.

No trip to South Wales would be complete without visiting its wonderful, coastal and second-largest city Swansea: you'll truly be spoilt for choice of activities here.

Walk into the verdant rainforest zoo, Plantasia Tropical Zoo, where you will find all sorts of exotic wildlife and plants, pack some lunch and take a walk through Parc Singleton Park where you can do some pedalo in the boating lake or a few rounds of crazy golf - don't forget to pass by Swansea Botanical Gardens and marvel at the beautifully-vibrant blooms.

If you're lucky enough to, catch a show at the ornate, Victorian Swansea Grand Theatre and then end the day with a riverside family dinner at The River House.

There's something for everyone to enjoy at 13 Gower Holiday Village.

Driving into the village was awful.

So run down, shabby and hugh derelict pub at entrance as well as litter. Such an eyesore. Hated the accommodation. Very expensive so expectations high. Everything and everywhere unclean and dated. Seating and rugs disgusting . Towels not fit for purpose. Daughter and husband left day early. Swimming pool very shabby interior and tiles grouting awful condition. The jacuzzi absolute joke and unsanitary. Could go on but owners don't care as I've read previous reviews similar.

Property was spacious and was equipped with all you need for a simple self catering holiday.

Unfortunately I discovered lots of black hairs in my bedding and was unable to use the double bed. I did not have owner details, so called Sykes to arrange a change of bedding. This did not happen. I have sent multiple messages and made a complaint and yet no one will discuss this with me. For some reason my booking has been deleted from my portal. There were other issues with the property, i would have ignored, but now I feel compelled to disclose. The recliner sofas mechanisms were broken, some crockery was dirty, there were crumbs in corners and under fridge door, the dining table cover was sticky on the edges, cobwebs in bathroom, no bathroom or kitchen extraction fans >> ceiling fan was dangerously low, double bed had old bobbled sheets, with small holes and marks as well as someones dark hairs, bathroom door doesnt shut properly (need to use bolt). The bungalow is very tired and needs a refresh, however it is in a lovely, convenient location. If you are not fussy (and you get clean sheets) it is ok accomodation - but its not worth the price I paid for it.
