What guests are saying
Ash was easy to find.
Very clean inside. Double bed was a little uncomfortable and took awhile to get used to the mattress. Nice having a on suite. We were disappointed as we could get no Wi-Fi, maybe put this on the profile. We ate out every day so cannot comment re the cooking Facilities. There was a strange smell in the small bedroom and had to open the window more often than we would have done. The lounge carpet has come away from the gripper. Also could do with a carpet sweeper we had to sweep carpet with a brush. Also maybe some soap and extra towel. Only found one place to eat which was an Indian. Great having a supermarket near by. Great place for a base for Falkirk Wheel, Kelpies, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling. It would be helpful if the information book gave info what goes in each bin outside.
Broken tap in the kitchen that had previously been mentioned in a review, the bed had so many springs you could feel in your back(my husband slept on the sofa some nights), no bin bags for the rubbish bin were left, the green bin outside was full and had flies around it and it generally wasn’t worth what we paid for it
We booked a stay at Ash holiday home because we wanted somewhere out of town but with easy bus access to Glasgow.
We've just had a very enjoyable week - the property was very clean and presentable, and had everything we needed. 4 stars rather than 5 on account of a couple of issues which could easily be put right :- 1. Tap in kitchen is very loose, which was worrying. 2. Blinds in both toilets not working - one stuck down, the other up. 3. Mattress on main bed could be more comfortable. But a lovely peaceful stay - would recommend. Thank you!
