Shepherds Pightle
Description
Settled into a picturesque meadow in Hollesley and with countryside walks and cycling, Shepherds Pightle is a blue shepherds hut which has been converted into a fantastic holiday home for a couple looking to explore the countryside of Suffolk.
Be delighted by this picturesque hut, painted blue and with a backdrop of countryside trees and meadows, parking off road and making yourself at home.
The interior of this hut is all open plan, with wooden walls and ceiling adding character and a woodburning stove warming your feet in the colder months, and there is also a small kitchen with contemporary cupboards in greys and browns, as well as storage, a table for two and a double bed.
This hut also has a fantastic little shower room where you can enjoy a relaxing soak at the end of the day.
The landscape surrounding the hut is delightful, and you can enjoy this by dining alfresco and making use of the fire pit.
Hollesley is a rural village which offers a pub and convenience store, where you can stock up on essentials before heading outside for a countryside walk at RSPB Hollesley, where you can make use of the local bird hides and see what wildlife is there.
If you fancy a glimpse into the past, then a visit to the nearby village of Orford is a must, where the excellent Orford Castle and grounds can be enjoyed by guests.
Travel further to Aldeburgh and you will be able to enjoy the selection of eateries, as well as the wonderful pebble beach where you and your significant other can take a stroll in the salty air.
Create a special couple’s retreat with a stay at Shepherds Pightle.

We had a lovely weekend at this very cute, well maintained hut.
So peaceful. The 2 beers and pint of milk were a lovely touch on arrival and everything was spotless. Due to the recent heatwave and extreme weather warnings we weren’t able to use the BBQ or firepit but we had expected and respected that. However I can imagine sitting out BBQ-ing in the evening would have been lovely. There is a pub a 10 minute walk away which serves food and a local shop just before that if you need supplies. Ventured (drove) into Woodbridge a few times where there are more lovely pubs and restaurants. Our last evening there was a big thunderstorm in the early hours and it literally felt like the ground shook after one lightning bolt so that was an experience in itself! Well equipped kitchen. Bedding & towels provided. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a better step to get in/out of bed for shorter/ less able bodied people. Loved our stay and would be happy to stay again. Thank you!
I loved it.
I'm going back for sure. Wonderful.
Delightful shepherd's hut in lovely, private position - but close to nature and good outdoor space with table 7 chairs plus deckchairs.
Nice little welcome pack included a couple of beers after our long journey. One needs to be quite agile to 'mount' the very comfortable double bed!
