    “We had a great week at Chalet C.”

    Super cosy and comfortable and the owners were very responsive. The kitchen was OK but could benefit from a few additions and it would also be good to have a curtain on the front door (it was the only one without blinds which felt a bit exposed at night). Our tips would be to bring a cushion for the dog basket and an HDMI cable with you to hook up a phone or tablet, as the TV is old fashioned Freeview with no way to access any streaming. We would definitely come back.

Translating in Gaelic to 'pebbly place', Dornoch is a delightful seaside resort in the North of Scotland. It is a beautiful town with so much to see and do and it is a place full of history and culture. Dornoch is home to the 13th-century Dornoch Cathedral and directly opposite the cathedral is Dornoch Castle which is now a hotel making it the perfect place to stop off and stay awhile. Dornoch has a golf course that has been voted the fifth best outside of the US so is well worth a visit. No visit to Dornoch is complete without a visit to Dornoch beach situated on the beautiful Dornoch Firth and with its miles of golden sands is a great place for beach walks and activities. Aside from the beauty and history, Dornoch has a great range of shops, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants to discover and is the perfect place for picking up gifts to take home to loved ones.
