Whilst located in a pretty location, this has now become so overgrown, the trees overshadow everything. The interior fixtures and fittings need totally updating, There is only basic, cheap equipment. As for the furniture, I think has been there years has and is so uncomfortable. The sofas sink down as the cushions are worn. If you rent out property, the owners should ensure things are replaced more frequently as the use is so much more. We’ve stayed in log cabins before and with bright lighting and fixtures and fittings, have been cosy and welcoming. The bed, here, with just a sheet separating from a bedspread that probably is never changed as there is no duvet cover on it makes whether it is hygienic enough. The sink in the bathroom does not drain and the static plug has obviously had sink clearer pored down it which hasn’t worked but corroded the silver metal plug and looks very unsightly. The sink still doesn’t drain despite this.
The view from the living room is through the patio doors onto a very run down, unkempt verandah. The fence is faded and moss covered clearly not seen a lick of paint for years. Just a horrible vista. As for the wooden garden swing - it is extremely dangerous and should be removed immediately. It’s all rotted away and try to sit on it, it’s about to collapse - an accident waiting to happen. I dread to think if there were young children, enticed by the swing but unaware that it’s rotten.
Some of the photos on the internet show a property of some years ago. It obviously has been taken over, and would suggest some of the reviews on certain sites are made by friends of the owners. Why do some people who rent out holiday lets think they never need updating or renovating?
