Beautiful location and lovely modern holiday home.

Appreciated the items left for us and milk in the fridge. Shower was so nice in the main bathroom. Hot tub wonderful addition and everything you need in the kitchen. Would definitely stay here again. Our only small criticisms is that on arrival there was a noticeable smell in the property. You could see that it had been cleaned but a smell lingered, especially in one of the bedrooms. I think the letting would benefit from some air freshener between guests. Also we were far too hot which disturbed our sleep on most of the nights. We were unable to turn the thermostat down so the heating didnt kick on and so the inside remained at a steady 25°c. Our room had only doors and no windows we didnt feel comfortable leaving the door open all night and a fan wasnt provided. For future, as our summers become increasingly warm, turning the thermostat down or at the minimum providing a fan for bedrooms is essential. Good, comfortable sleep is really a must.

Lovely accommodation in an ideal setting, short drive to Dornoch but secluded and private.

Very well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic. All in all we had a wonderful stay with 6 adults and 2 dogs. The owners were quick to respond to any queries. We would love to visit again.

Stayed 5 nights at this lovely accommodation, had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean and comfortable in a beautiful, quiet location and only 5-10 minutes drive from dornoch And it's beautiful beach.

We had a great week at Pine Marten.

The location is really quiet with great views and not too far from Dornoch. The lodge is of great quality. The two bathrooms are well sized, the bedrooms are comfortable and the underfloor heating throughout the lodge is great. The lodge is overall well equipped including toys and trays for the dogs. The owners left a really nice welcome package for us including some milk in the fridge - thank you!

Very clean property & everything you would need is within the property.

Wonderfully placed accommodation, privacy but full amenities in Dornoch, beautiful beach & woodland walks only 5-10mins drive away. Great location for our dogs which allowed us time to use the hot tub & outside patio furniture. Beautiful nature on doorstep with buzzards overhead & deer in evening. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful property in a secluded location.

We saw deer and pheasants in the tree line outside the property. Very good layout and lots of items for us to use. Hot tub was lovely and heated up very quickly. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Pine Marten is a very well equipped and cosy cottage.

We both said how well we’d slept the whole week - the bed was very comfortable and it is so quiet. Early in the morning there were several deer in the field at the back. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. We ate a few meals at home as we were not able to find many local eateries which were dog friendly. Many places have outdoor areas- that’s ok in nice weather but this is November. Not the fault of Pine Marten! The house is warm and cosy - our first experience of a heat pump. Impressed. The hot tub was a welcome at the end of the day! We have had a lovely break in Pine Marten.

This is our second time staying here.

It’s is absolutely wonderful, comfortable beds and sofas. Excellent facilities and a great hot tub. We will be back. Thank you again for another lovely holiday.

A well thought out property. Peaceful location. Lots of space do everyone. Neighbours (herd of roe deer) welcoming.

A beautiful lodge inside and outside.

The location and peaceful setting with the patio and hot tub made it perfect for relaxing. So close to many walks for dogs and amazing scenery too. The decor of the bedrooms in particular was lovely. One of the best places we have stayed in.

Had a fantastic holiday at Pine Martin, looking to book again for next year.

I can only describe our stay as absolute heaven and we loved every minute.

It's very rare you find a place you like the look of and it lives up to expectation, but the Pine Martin certainly did! The location is amazing, so secluded and quiet but also close enough to the local town and a stunning beach. It's a great base to explore from or place to relax and recharge! We will be back.

We had a lovely rekaxing stay at Pine Marten.

We found that the bed with the on suite was very uncomfortable. The couple that slept there said it felt like they were sleeping on a wooden pallett. All the pillows at the lodge need to be changed as they no longer have any bounce in them. There was a slight tear on one of the sofas which slightly alarmed us as we didnt want to be blamed for this! The surroundings of the lodge and outside areas are fantastic. The above improvers didnt spoil or impact our break massively but it could gave made it more comfortable.

We had a fantastic weeks stay at Pine Marten.

The accomodation was brilliant for our family with 2 little ones and a dog. There is plenty space for play and relaxing as well as our favourite past time of watching the farmer in the field in his tractor! Brilliant location to explore all around and beautiful Dornoch and Embo beach. We will hopefully be back Thank you

We had a fabulous stay at Pine Martin with our two dogs.

Beautifully set with an open field right outside for the dogs to explore. The accomodation was spacious and beds super comfy, large bathrooms and well equiped kitchen. Great location for exploring this beautiful area of Scotland - I would highly recommend.

We had a great time at Pine Marten cottage!

The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. We were very lucky with the weather and spent most of our time on the patio which had a stunning meadow view.

Fantastic lodge with a peaceful outlook and top rate facilities.

We loved the hot tub, the kitchen wanted for nothing, and the accommodation was lovely and warm throughout. In nearby Dornoch, we especially loved Green’s for meals, and of course the golf in the area is magnificent.

We have just returned from staying at Pine Martin Lodge, the place was fantastic and everything we asked for, the space outside for are cocker spaniel dog to run around was great, plus the hot tub a bonus after a long walks, would recommend this place to anyone

Lovely place to get away too, if your into your beach walks and good food it is a great area to be in.

If your into your whisky it is prefect. Dornoch is the place to be in the Malt Whisky industry on the mainland.

We had a lovely time in Pine Martin Lodge, the space was great for 5 adults and 2 dogs.

Outdoor space was great for dogs that can be off lead and lovely patio area to relax if you get the weather. There is a small enclosed stoned area at the rear of the house but the majority of the outdoor space is not enclosed. The Lodge was spotless, not one thing out of place. Some of the group found the beds very comfortable but others didn't which I guess is a personal preference. Very quiet and secluded which was brilliant. Great location to visit different parts of the Highlands.

Pine Marten is a gorgeous lodge in a stunning location Fabulous view with full sun all day long Really high standard of accommodation with brilliant attention to detail re appliances and layout Rooms with deck outlook very spacious Had to spread out showers to manage the hot water but no biggie!

We were so impressed with the quality and comfort that Pine Martin had to offer.

We loved the location and the property had absolutely everything that we needed. June, the owner who I met by chance was really nice and she supplied extra toys/books that she thought our kids might like.

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location.

Very comfortable and well equipped for our stay. We really appreciated the welcome treat basket, and the gorgeous Christmas decorations were a lovely surprise. Hot tub was fabulous! Owners provided useful communications and information. The only slight negative is that the towel provision was limited to one relatively small towel per person, so I recommend you bring extra towels - especially if you want to use the hot tub (which you definitely should!). Thank you for a wonderful and peaceful NYE family break.

We had a great week stay at Christmas .

The lodge was decorated for us and had a huge lit tree outside . The lodge was cosy and clean . The beds were comfortable . The kitchen had everything we needed . We used the bbq and chiminea on the patio It is set in a lovely peaceful location but not too far from Dornoch . The hot tub was very nice especially after our sea swims ! We would definitely recommend Pine Marten Lodge

Your property is one of the best we have stayed in. It really showed that you have thought of everything from a coffee machine to a hot tub, all these details added to our stay. We hope to return soon.

The accommodation was amazing, clean warm and comfortable.

Only gripe was that it was listed as had an “open fire” but only had a fire affect fire in the lounge, needs clarification! A few recommendations would be hooks for dressing gowns towels by or close to hot tub, and a flat mob or a dustpan n brush other wise no complaints, beds large and comfortable. Location marvelous! Highlights were deer passing and star gazing in the hot tub. Definitely will re book

An amazing beautiful relaxed place.

From the stag in the forest to the stars in the hot tub, a truly tranquil place. Well equipped, comfortable and wouldn't hesitate book again.

We loved the property, excellent facilities, hot tub was great. Fab location. Our only feedback would be that seating is tight for 6 adults on the 2 sofas. We ended up bringing in the cushions from the outdoor seats for some os us to sit on in the evening

A very tranquil location.

The accommodation is well equipped and beautifully presented and maintained. I would definitely stay again and explore more of the locality. Owners are very considerate and nothing is too much trouble.

It was one of the best cottages we had on our scottland tour.

For tranquillity in abundance this lodge was perfect, we have two small dogs, one of whom is now blind and deaf, he loved the fact he could come and go from the large paved area accessed from the lounge.

The lodge was spotlessly clean, warm, felt cozy, modern but with traditional elements cleverly mixed in. Was also the perfect spot to visit lovely Dornoch and explore the east side of NC500.

An excellent, well equipped lodge in a beautiful, peaceful setting.

Perfect if you want to get away from it all, explore the beautiful coastline arround Dornoch, play fabulous golf courses or just relax in the hot tub - we did all of the above !
