The property

Anchor is a newly renovated, luxury self catering house situated in Ness in the NW corner of Lewis.

This beautifully appointed house sleeps 6 and is an ideal place for your Hebridean holiday. Eoropie beach is a short walk and offers pristine sands, fabulous surfing and swimming opportunities and a wonderful place to relax in the dunes and take is some stunning sunsets.

However, the jewel for the families is that here you will find the most magnificent mile long playpark in the dunes with picnic tables and opportunities for play for all ages. To the rear of the house sits the Spòrsnis, the sports centre with a swimming pool, sports hall and 10 pin bowling.

There are cafes and a pub with a beer garden and meals.

Artists are attracted to this area and some have stayed and made it their home.

Visit their galleries whilst here and take home a little bit of Lewis with an original art work or a fine print.

We recommend you don't miss the Gallery at Port of Ness and see the work of Anthony Barber. The house is around 40 minute drive from Stornoway and an hour and 15 minutes from Harris. The islands can be reached by flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness; or by ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert, or Ullapool to Stornoway.
