The compact kitchen is equipped with all the essentials for preparing simple meals, while the dining table offers a cosy spot to reconnect and plan your next adventure.

The double bedroom is dressed in calming tones and natural textures, echoing the rural surroundings and offering a restful place to recharge.

The external shower room, complete with a walk-in shower, basin and WC, is ideal for freshening up after countryside strolls.

Outside, the enclosed front patio invites you to enjoy your morning coffee at the picnic bench, with views stretching across open fields.

As the day fades, the patio becomes a peaceful spot to watch the sky change colour, while the alpacas opposite add a whimsical touch to the setting.

Nearby, Chippenham offers riverside walks through Monkton Park, local history at the Chippenham Museum, and seasonal events at John Coles Park.

We did not stay at the hut because we felt it was unsafe.

The bed was too high, and when I stepped on the stool it slid all across the room. There was nobody around to ask for help, and no brochures or instructions explaining where the bathroom was, how to get in, or where anything was located. Eventually, we found a man who showed us an old horse box, and you had to pull the ramp down to get in. So much more could be said, but it was not a suitable holiday at all.

We are sorry to hear that you chose not to stay, particularly as the concerns you’ve raised could have been very quickly resolved had we been contacted at the time. As outlined in the welcome information sent via the Sykes messaging service prior to your arrival, detailed instructions are provided covering access to the hut, operation of the facilities, and the location and use of the bathroom amenities, along with clear contact details should any assistance be required. The hut and its features are presented accurately in the listing, including the bed design and access, which many guests use without difficulty. That said, had we been made aware of any issue with the step, we would have gladly addressed it immediately. Our aim is always to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we remain readily available to assist guests throughout their visit. It is unfortunate that, in this instance, we were not given the opportunity to do so. We do, however, appreciate your comments and will continue to ensure that all information is as clear and accessible as possible for future guests.
