Immaculately clean & extremely comfortable accommodation in a fabulous location.

Very well equiped, quality bedding, fluffy towels and robes, what more could you want !

My mum and I had a lovely 3-night stay at The Folly in Linton and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The accommodation was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The location was peaceful and perfect for exploring the local area. The hosts were welcoming and made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed our stay and made some wonderful memories together. We would definitely recommend The Folly to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, and we’d love to come back in the future. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The jacuzzi was a refreshing joy in the summer evenings outside with bird sound and beautiful views. The hosts were a delight and everything was explained clearly. We loved the location - super characterful old village, excellent pub within walking distance with superb varied menu, lots of walks around the area - a wonderful peaceful break.

Chris and Sally go above and beyond to make you welcome, they are friendly and responsive with messages.The accommodation is comfortable , spotless , well maintained and tastefully decorated . Location is great , near to The Fountaine Inn , Grassington and many walks. Massive bonus having hot tub with fluffy towels ! Definitely recommend and stay again.

A beautiful place great facilities and great area to relax, happened to go when it was a heatwave which we did get abit warm from time to time with thickness of duvet but wasn’t the end of the world still got good sleep and bed was amazingly comfy!

Owner was lovely and welcoming, but no welcome pack in property, hard to find, parking was not very good if you have a large car, and hot tub was quite overlooked.

The Folly is fabulous!

Spotless and well thought out. The owners are lovely and on hand for any issues (we didn’t have any ) The bed was very comfy and the benefit of having a hot tub after a days walking was bliss! The Folly is a studio apartment which is obviously indicative of the pricing and we found it more than adequate for our weeks stay with our dog. Everything is thought of to make our stay comfy and easy. The pub in the village is great as are all the places in Grassington. Very close to some great walking too. What a little gem The Folly is in the beautiful, quiet village of Linton.

Sally and Chris have thought of everything to make this a very comfortable retreat. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfy and the towels and bathrobes were nice and soft. We arrived to find milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and sugar for our use. We enjoyed the walks up the fields and down to Linton Falls and on one wet day we caught the bus from the village to Skipton. We chose Linton as a base because of its proximity to Grassington which we love, and for the walks along the River Wharfe. We enjoyed watching the ewes and their lambs in the neighbouring field and watched the lambs grow bigger by the day. Anyone who enjoys the countryside will love The Folly. Another added bonus was the easy walk to The Fountaine Inn. We had a lovely Sunday lunch there and another tasty evening meal in the week. We mustn’t forget to mention we had use of the hot tub too which was so warm and relaxing. Sally and Chris went out of their way to make everything perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

Such a wonderful place to relax & be ourselves.

Great friendly hosts, the most magical views of the moors & the sheep, & so many walks right outside of our door. Everything that we needed to have a romantic dinner too. Feel like it was a dream.

We stayed at this beautiful property at the end of April and were spoilt with unseasonably good weather.

Chris and Sally were very welcoming and always on hand to answer any questions or make good suggestions about the local area, walks and a great recommendation for the Fountaine Inn pub at the end of the road. The accommodation itself is lovely, it is spotlessly clean and has all that you might need for your stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, the hot tub was great and had a genius addition of a little shelf on top of the reduced wall height so that you could rest your glasses or drink and appreciate the views over the field beyond. The arrival of a small flock of sheep and their lambs into the nursing field on our second day provided lots of entertainment that we were able to appreciate from the hot tub and the accommodation itself. There is a parking space for one small car as you reach the host’s property and The Folly is accessed via the hosts driveway. The Folly is separated from the hosts own property by an alleyway and although the proximity is close we always felt the hosts were extremely respectful of us as guests on holiday. The location was great, the short local walk to Linton Falls is not to be missed and driving through the Dales to Brimham Rocks and Coldstone Cuts and beyond were all extremely enjoyable. Pateley Bridge with its oldest sweet shop and a very welcoming crew of staff and locals at Cocoa Joe’s made for a lovely hour en route to Harrogate. All in all The Folly was all that we had hoped it would be and we hope to visit again soon!

The Folly was the cleanest accommodation we have ever stayed in.

So much thought has been put into this property. We were aware that the property would be small, but Chris and Sally managed to think of everything. The quality of everything in and around the property was top notch. Even though we were a stone’s throw away from their home, we did not see or hear them. We appreciated the foliage which afforded us privacy whilst in the hot tub. If you do want to eat at the pub across the green, may we suggest that you book in advance, as weren’t able to secure a table on the Sunday to celebrate our birthdays. All in all, a lovely, peaceful stay in a tranquil little village.

A beautiful compact short stay home in a stunning setting.

The Folly had everything you needed and more. Everything had been considered and thought of to high spec. Comfortable and quiet, picturesque location. The owners clearly wish for you to have a memorable stay and ensure that you’re happy with regular check ins and are always there should you need. Simply stunning in every way. We had a fantastic stay at The Folly.

The place was absolutely spotless and furnished to a high standard, with underfloor heating in the bathroom and a comfy kingsize bed. Our hosts were so friendly and communicative. Always on hand to help with our questions throughout our stay. The location was just beautiful. Nestled in the Yorkshire countryside with a brilliant pub serving great food less than 100 metres away. Lots to do in the surrounding areas (perfect if you have a dog/ love walking), but The Folly itself offered quiet and privacy. Finally, the hot tub, looking out onto open fields, was a great touch. Would highly recommend and would definitely come here again.

The Folly was small, but perfect.

It had everything you would need for a break away. Lovely views, hot tub great, we felt very relaxed after our stay there.

It is a very well thought out property.

A place for everything. Two of us and our dog. Spotless and nice touches too, dressing gowns, dog bowl and mat. Milk in the fridge really good bedding excellent duvet and very comfy pillows. There is also a cupboard outside for your muddy boots. Chris and Sally are very welcoming, Sally showed us around and went through a few things. We did not see them much after thst but they are on hand if you have any queries and answer very quickly. We had to change our dates and it was no problem to them they are very easy to deal with. It's in a fabulous spot great views from the windows, with walks to Grassington and Burnsall nearby. The hot tub was fab lovely on a clear night to see all the stars really enjoyed that. The Fountaine Inn a couple of mins away is very cosy with a roaring fire , lovely food and they are very friendly highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at The Folly.

It’s in the perfect location with beautiful scenery and lots of great walks. We walked into Grassington in about 20 minutes and it was a really scenic route, with plenty of shops, cafés and pubs once you get there. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed, including towel robes for after using the hot tub. The hot tub was spacious and very relaxing, especially at night when we were lucky enough to have clear skies and could see the stars. There’s a great pub (The Fountaine Inn) just across the road with lovely food, which is very convenient. The Folly is also a brilliant base for exploring the gorgeous surrounding area, we managed to visit Grassington, Harrogate and Pateley Bridge during our stay. The owners were really friendly and helpful and made sure everything was perfect during our stay. Overall, The Folly is a perfect, relaxing getaway and we’d definitely recommend it!

A lovely place to stay in a beautiful village in Yorkshire.

The conversion has been very cleverly considered, which the owner is rightly very proud of. Although a small space there was room for everything, it was very clean and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. We had a slight issue with the heating going off; I didn’t want to bother the owner but Chris was very helpful and sorted for us. Thanks we will add you to our list for future stays.

Great stay, lovely accommodation which had everything we needed.

Highlight was sitting in the hot tub at night, switching off all the lights and stargazing at the amazing sky.

Chris and Sally have put a lot of thought and attention into the Folly.

Although small, it had everything you could wish for and some we hadn't thought about (torch). We had a very nice stay at the Folly and wouldn't hesitate to book this property again if in the area.

Weve just returned from a fantastic long weekend at The Folly, property was spotlessly clean , with a modern interior, and everything was top quality, comfiest bed, loveliest shower, hot tub to temperature , its amazing what Chris and Sally have done with the space theyve made it so homely too, everything you need and they were fantastic hosts.

We were greeted on arrival, shown around, given all the information we needed, nothing was too much trouble , we will definitely be returning. Location is fantastic with beautiful views and walks on your doorstep, i would recommend to any couple looking to book in this area. Fabulous

The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well maintained.

It had everything we needed for our stay. On arrival we were met by the owner who showed us how to operate the hot tub. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of towels were provided, including dressing gowns. The hot tub was very clean and was upto temperature even on the 1st night. I would definitely recommend this property. In an ideal beautiful location for walking or visiting the local pub just down the lane.

Came here for a five night break in late September having already been four nights near York.

First impressions were good and it just kept on getting better from there really. A clean and modern looking interior, and yet somehow quite a homely feel to it as well. No easy thing to accomplish with such a limited floor space, but the owners have made some clever decisions about what to include here. The highlights for us were the hot tub (every evening the weather would allow) and the coffee table with the top that raised to a comfortable height for TV dinners. Don't forget the views either. Every window framed another picture of typically lovely Yorkshire countryside. Would absolutely recommend this to any couple looking to explore the area. Just leave a week free for us to come back too!!

When we first arrived at The Folly, we realised it was exactly like the photos on the Sykes website.

The property was absolutely pristine. The hosts had supplied little touches, coffee, tea, sugar and milk, also cleaning products and tea towels. There were towels and bath robes too. The Folly is in an idyllic village of Linton. We had a wonderful stay.

Plenty of outside space with the hot tub and seating area. Chris and Sally are wondering attentive and can't be more helpful. Would definitely recommend The Folly.

Excellent location and private, great for a relaxing break

Just back from a perfect stay at the Folly in Linton, l can only describe this place as a little bit of heaven, the accommodation is perfect, spotless with everything you need.

Sitting in the hot tub at night with a glass of bubbly was perfection ,it is so peaceful and quiet, hosts are very welcoming and helpful we had our dog with us, she loved all the walks , if l could give this 10 stars l would , we will definitely come back one day. Ate out at the Fountainne Inn which is just over a little bridge , food really nice , walked to Grassington twice which takes about 20 mins through Linton falls , had food at the black horse which was lovely, also the Devonshire arms(not so keen but ok) the Corner Cafe for breakfast is not to be missed , went to Bolton Abbey, great circular walk with a dog, took about 2 1/2 hours , also Grimwith reservoir is a great 2 hour walk, this little accommodation is a hidden gem not to be missed.

The folly was a beautifully restored accommodation. Done to a very high standard to make it a comfortable accommodation to stay in. It had been fully stock with every thing you need for a comfortable stay. In all would recommend the folly as a place to stay when visiting the Yorkshire dales.

Perfect setting , spotlessly clean great use of space , went for my husband’s 50tj and they even left a card for him when we arrived and a blanket for the dog

The hosts were very helpful with directions and information about the area, showed us round the property and then left us to it. The Folly is immaculate inside and also outside on the patio. Quality towels and bedding and robes provided made this a luxury stay. Thoroughly relaxing with a hot tub. Our dog was welcome. The location is stunning. I would highly recommend

What a fabulous stay!

Everything within the Folly is top quality and well thought out to make the most of the space whilst providing for your every need. Chris and Sally are the perfect hosts, making sure you have everything you need and offering great advice on things to do in the local area. The bed is super comfortable! There are lovely walks right out of the door, and the Fountaine Arms is a short walk over the bridge, and serves lovely food. Given it was a week in March, the weather was very good, and the Folly remained warm and cosy for evenings spent relaxing after busy days. The hot tub is a great way to ease any aches and pains. Waking in the morning and looking out on the new born lambs was a real treat. We highly recommend staying here, and will return to explore more of the glory of the Yorkshire Dales.

Had a really great stay at The Folly.

Wonderful location for walking, countryside views and the pub literally across the green. Linton is a picture perfect village. The Folly itself is as described, it's a compact space that has been cleverly designed, and was fine for 2 of us and a dog. Great to have the hot tub, and the owners were lovely and keep the place immaculate. Quality decor and furnishings, and bed /sofa is super comfy too. It had everything we needed for a mixture of self-catering and eating out.

Everything was perfect. We commented on how lovely the interiors were, how well equipped it was and how it was done to such a lovely spec. It was such a perfect location for a quick drink or lovely roast at the pub, as well as some beautiful walks. Thank you so much for all your additional help during our stay, and for being so friendly and approachable. We had a bit of trouble with the hottub (our own fault), and you could not have been more accommodating, something that not many other owners would have done for guests. We will definitely be back soon, as we actually got engaged on our trip to the Folly! We look forward to returning in the near future for another stay at the lovely Folly.

Our stay was fabulous.

We have not visited Yorkshire before and we found it amazing. Linton village particularly was beautiful. The hot tub was a great addition to the stay. We both commented on the absolute peace of the location with zero noise pollution. The Folly was slightly smaller than the photos indicated but it was still a lovely accommodation. The bed was amazingly comfortable, even my husband agreed, and that is something rare!!

Beautiful property and location Definitely would return

Great little place, very cosy during our stay which was minus degrees and frosty outdoors.

The decor is very neutral and felt modern yet cottagie. The bed was very comfortable and the place was immaculately clean. Some great walks to Burnsall and Conistone via the falls. Not too far to walk into the beautiful little village of Grassington but if you can’t manage the walk, Linton is very picturesque and the Fountaine pub is great for food and decent beers.

Had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Folly for a week.

Facilities were fantastic. Everything in the property was top of the range. Cooker, hob, fridge freezer shower was all excellent. The hot tub was excellent and well maintained by Chris and Sally. They both made us so welcome. The only complaint I have is we couldn’t stay another week ! Beautiful place to stay perfect for couples, lots of places to walk and local pub is only a 3 minute walk.

Chris and his family made us feel very welcome and The Folly is luxury especially with the hot tub we slept very well for the week we were there. We will return and definitely recommend this place to stay

Delightful property with great finish fabulous shower & good quality hot tub ,the hosts cannot do enough for you (fresh milk a lovely touch),the local pub is literally a stone’s throw away over a lovely little bridge,if we had to say anything slightly negative it is smaller than we expected & the parking would be nice if it was directly outside the property but a lovely stay.

Everything needed for a perfect 3 night stay. The hot tub was a lovely place to soak in after hours of nearby walks and one evening caught the stars above. Fully enclosed garden for our dog was also peace of mind. Pub across the green was lovely too, go online and book though as people without bookings (and dogs) would have to wait. A lovely stay, would recommend and would definitely return, thanks Chris and Sally.

The location is fantastic for walks in the dales. Chris & Sally were friendly & helpful but not intrusive. The patio & hot tub were lovely & peaceful, looking out over fields. A patio umbrella for hot days would be helpful as it was in the sun for most of the day with no shade. Will definitely highly recommend to others.

The Folly has everything you need for a break in the Yorkshire Dales!

Everything has been done to a high standard with well thought out amenities to make your stay comfortable. The enclosed patio is perfect for dog owners. We enjoyed visiting malham and Grassington whilst we were here. Would highly recommend!

Lovely cottage with stunning views and in perfect location for walking and the pub!

A little tight in the cottage, but we had such great weather we were out for most of the time and when in the cottage mostly in the hot tub! Hosts were super helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay! Will be back hopefully next summer.

The property is exactly as described.

The location is idyllic and the views breathtaking. We were met by the hosts at the property, where we were given a quick run through of where everything was within the property. The kitchen was fully equipped. The bed was unbelievably comfy. The location is ideal for lots of walks within the area. Or just to un-wind for a few days. We would definitely recommend The Folly.

We had a lovely relaxing break. The Folly is in a quiet, private location with stunning views. Chris and Sally are excellent hosts and communication was brilliant. The Folly is immaculate and well decorated with modern equipment and everything you need. It was lovely sitting in the hotub looking over the hills and watching the sheep. Thresfield is a peaceful village with a lovely pub that serves a good pint and delicious food. We would definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Folly.

The property was immaculate and well set up. You have all the amenities you need to cook and prepare food and The Fountaine Inn located across the bridge provided excellent food and drinks after a long day walking. The hot tub is private and looks out over fields, with only a few sheep for company. Great to sit back and enjoy some fizz while the sun goes down. There are lots of great walks and locations to visit from The Folly. We walked down to Grassington, passing Linton Falls, and enjoyed a coffee in one of the many cafes/restaurants. We also walked in the opposite direction past the neighbouring farm following a path to Hebden then back across to Grassington which was longer but full of fantastic views. All locations are dog friendly with many fully loaded treat jars on hand. Chris & Sally were so friendly and welcoming. They were happy to advise should you need recommendations and were on hand should you need anything. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in the beautiful property, great location and will definitely return.

Had such a lovely little break- was a last minute decision and we weren’t disappointed with the accommodation we found.

Beautiful location with countryside all around. Sitting in the hot tub on an evening and in the morning was really peaceful. Plenty to do around the area- a nice little pub very close by. Had a walk to Grassington across the river which is so picturesque and not very far. Could have explored further but we felt like taking it easy! Perfectly clean and comfortable accommodation. The only issue we had was with the TV and internet. We couldn’t get any signal on the evenings when we tried to use it but wasn’t too bothered as we came for everything else really. An additional feature we would recommend would be a little bbq outside. Thanks to the owners for accommodating us!

Lovely scenery, within walking distance to lovely villages. The Folly was beautiful, clean and so comfy couldn't have asked for anything more had everything you need. Chris and Sally were so friendly and helpful. Will definately return.

We have just stayed at the Folly for 3 nights.

The property was finished to a very high standard and very clean! We had everything we needed in the property and the enclosed garden was perfect to let our puppy have a little run around on his own. The hot tub was gorgeous after a long walk and not too hot like others we have been too! We loved walking through the fields and watching the lambs play. The village is small but very picturesque and the local pub was lovely and friendly. The owners of the property were very friendly and always on hand if you needed anything at all. We will be back! this is a fantastic cottage very clean we stayed for 3nights, plenty of feedback from the owners, there if we needed them, the pub was a short walk away serving excellent food, we had our old dog with us so couldn't do any of the walks but there seemed to be plenty to do, lots of places to visit a short drive away, had a great weekend and would definitely recommend this cottage

Emaculate property with beautiful modern interior and amenities. Lovely small enclosed outside area with hot tub. The host (Chris and Sally) at the Folly were great, made sure we had settled in and there if we needed them. The Pub across the bridge was an added bonus.

Myself and my partner booked 7 nights here and had an absolutely wonderful time.

Despite the harsh weather, with gorgeous sights and stunning walks, we never found ourselves bored. The hot tub was perfect and gave us the most beautiful and comfortable atmosphere for seeing the stars on clear nights. With Skipton only a 15 min drive away we never had an issue with food or anything of the sort. The owners are very kind and always happy to help and provide if you need anything. The folly is honestly such a peaceful place and perfect for a romantic getaway

Nice personal touches, coffee, sugar, tea & dressing gowns. Very clean hot tub, which unfortunately the weather stopped us using it as much as we would have liked.

Had a lovely stay, so peaceful and quiet and surrounded by absolutely stunning views.

If you’re wanting to get away into what feels like the middle of nowhere then I would definitely recommend here. Lots of lovely walks all around, local pub serves lovely food and not too far away from the shops! Hosts were great and always on hand to help if anything was needed, thanks again!

We're just back from from spending Christmas week in this lovely little holiday cottage, next door to owners property in a quaint village.

Cottage was well equipped & had everything we needed for our stay. Owners were lovely, met us on arrival to run through everything & caught up with us again before we left to ask if everything had been ok & whether we had any suggestions to improve the cottage, we didn't we were quite happy with it as it is.

Fantastic for 2 people. Best hot tub we’ve had in a rental and the place has been beautifully renovated. Somewhere to put muddy boots would be the only recommendation but I believe that may already be in the pipeline. Thanks for our stay we loved it

A beautifully presented cottage, friendly welcome from the owners, a large comfy bed, outdoor patio with seating and a hot tub with fabulous views! The local pub is a few minutes walk from the property, serving great food and real ale.  Plenty of scenic walks, eateries and attractions nearby and further afield. Can't praise this property enough. Lovely little property.

All amenities were high spec. The large bed was really comfy and the hot tub was perfect after those long walks. The hosts were very welcoming. Lovely pub across the road which serves a fantastic Sunday roast and evening meals.

We have just returned from a short stay at The Folly and what can I say other than wow!

We booked this as our first break away as a couple after having our son 3 years ago and came away feeling well and truly relaxed. The location is the perfect base to explore the Dales and Linton itself is beautiful with a lovely pub just steps away from the property. The Folly was well equipped, spotlessly clean and felt cosy without feeling cramped due to the bright and modern decor and layout. I could have spent hours looking out of the dressing table window across the unspoilt views of the fields! At the front of the property was a beautiful hot tub with the same gorgeous views- definitely recommend getting up early and braving the cold to watch the sun rise over the fields- beautiful! Chris and Sally were very friendly and welcoming making sure we knew everything we needed to know about the property on arrival and met us to say farewell when we departed. We would definitely recommend The Folly to anyone who is looking for a relaxing break away. Thank you for having us and we hope to be back in the future!

The Folly has been finished to a high standard, light and bright decor gives a spacious, modern feel and had everything needed for a comfortable stay making it the perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park region. Chris and Sally were wonderful hosts and were always on hand if we needed any assistance or recommendations. We absolutely loved our time at The Folly, as did our Sprocker and we would 100% recommend The Folly for your next getaway.

Chris and Sally were very welcoming. The folly is compact but has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was wonderful. Linton is a beautiful village with a good pub across the bridge. Hopefully we will stay again in the future.

Couldn’t recommend enough. Host greeted us on arrival and showed us round, he went through everything we needed to know about staying at the property and was always on call for any questions/problems. For the space it provided there was everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfortable and the cleanliness was amazing. The location was nice and peaceful which is exactly what we wanted, and was in the centre of everything we had planned for our stay.

Just had a lovely 3 night stay at the Folly, its in a great location, lovely walks and a traditional local pub across the bridge.

Grassington and Burnsall definitely worth a visit. The Folly is well equipped and tastefully decorated, the courtyard was ideal for our small dog and when your sitting relaxing in the private hot tub the views are stunning. Hosts Chris and Sally are friendly and helpful, we will definitely be booking again. Jo

There wasn't one thing bad to say about our stay at the folly .

Christopher and Sally were the perfect hosts ,ensuring we had everything we needed . It was spotlessly clean and very well thought out , attention to detail was fab ,the bed was so comfortable, the hot tub perfect after a day's walk, and the local pub was charming and served good food ,and only a short stroll away. The little cottage was fab we had a perfect stay, Chris & Sally obviously work very hard to keep the place to its immaculate standard.

The setting is so beautiful, we enjoyed the hot tub and many a long walk not to mention the pub just across the road. Only a couple of things to mention is a hairdryer would be helpful and one less thing to pack & as mentioned to Chris maybe somewhere to dry swim wear

We had a lovely cosy stay and the owners Chris and Sally were very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The Folly was absolutely spotless and was a very comfortable stay, we could not fault The Folly at all! The owners even made a lovely effort to put happy birthday banners up for my birthday! A lovely location too with a great pub right across from the property and nice walks into the next villages. We’d highly recommend The Folly and will definitely be returning! Before we arrived we were sent a welcome message and from that moment, through to our last day both Chris and Sarah could not do enough to ensure our stay was exactly how and what we wanted.

Me and my friend, wanted a mini break for relaxation, countryside, walking and peace…we got all of that and more. The local village pub, the Fountaine Inn was lovely, food was fantastic and the service was welcoming and friendly. The Folly had everything we required and was the clean, well maintained and Chris and Sarah, have done an amazing job and outstanding finishing touches. Idyllic stay at The Folly We spent a fantastic three days staying at this property.

We arrived to Morris dancers dancing on the village green and The Folly is just over the road from this. The property is immaculate and has everything you could wish for and we loved the hot tub from where you could gaze over the field at the sheep grazing. The owners ( Chris and Sally) could not have been more helpful and friendly ! Linton is an idyllic Yorkshire village with a great pub just across the green which has a stream flowing through it and picture perfect bridge. The Folly is the ideal place from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales.
