We had a lovely stay, the log cabin and Hot tub was great.

Hamper provided was a lovely touch. Cliff is very helpful and friendly and advised us on some places to go which we did and had lovely days out. We loved Dexter the dog who came to say hello a few times. We would highly recommend.

The lodge had everything we needed & more.

We were welcomed by the owner Cliff & his dog Dexter who kept us entertained for 2 weeks. The welcome hamper was exceptional. The location was great for exploring North Yorkshire & the cabin was set in immaculate grounds. We hope to book again.

If you like a property with plastic plants covered in dust, hairs in the cutlery drawer and a fridge with glued shelving harbouring god knows what then go ahead and book.

A compalaint to Sykes asking THEM to justify their rating results in bland replies and no effort to assist.

Me and my family (husband and 2 children) spent 5 days at Cornfield over Easter. It’s a gorgeous location to just relax on the patio while the kids either play in the little gaming space, which we used a lot more than we expected, run around playing or go for a dip in the hot tub. Was exactly the break we needed in a gorgeous setting. The property itself contained everything you could need and the lovely hamper was such a gorgeous gesture. Cliff welcomed us as soon as we arrived and provided recommendations of places to go with the children. We took a lot of his advice across the week and went for a walk in Sutton Bank, followed by a lovely bit of food in a village called Helmsley. Also, if you have children I highly recommend visiting Forbidden Corner which was an extremely quirky and different experience. In summary, we had a lovely few days at Cornfield and hope to visit again in the near future.

Loved the lodge and the views, the welcome hamper was a lovely touch ,cliff and the team were very friendly ,the only negative thing I could say is that it needs better signage on main road as it was easy to miss ,enjoyable stay

Had a great stay over the new year in this lovely lodge.

The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay, the welcome hamper was a nice surprise and the hot tub was amazing. On arrival Cliff the owner came to check we had everything we needed and to explain how the heating worked in the lodge and the hot tub controls. He also provided an amazing firework display on New Year’s Eve for everyone staying in all the lodges. He is a lovely guy and can’t do enough for you throughout your stay. I would highly recommend a stay in this amazing place.

Top class property comfy furniture and fully stocked. The view is brilliant and area tranquil. Hot tub is a bonus. Owner very pleasant to deal with and very helpful. Location is excellent only a few minutes from town. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful lodge and it was a central base for visiting family and friends.

It was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack was filled with goodies and was a lovely touch. Cliff is a fabulous host, friendly and helpful, but never intrusive. He checks that everything is OK and has lots of suggestions of where to visit/eat etc. We really enjoyed our chats. It's a beautiful, peaceful location with plenty to do within easy reach. Northallerton has everything you could possibly need and is a gentle stoll if you don't fancy driving. Our grandson loved the games room and hottub (we all looked forward to our evening relax in the hottub) and is already planning the next visit.

Absolutely beautiful lodge everything you could possibly need.

ten out of ten to the clearers the place was spotless. The landlord Cliff was very helpful he couldn't have done more for us, when we left I put my laptop on my car roof and forgot about it so when I got home I called Cliff and he and his staff found my laptop and posted it back to me,so to cliff and his staff once again thank you very much it is appreciated.

The lodge was everything we hoped it would be, it met our expectations in every way.

All the equipment worked and was clean and in many cases looked as new. The owner meet us when we arrived and provided an excellent welcome for us, along with a well equipped welcome basket. This apartment was as good as any we have used during our vacations in the UK.

We had an amazing time and will definitely book again, where there may be sites that don’t live up to the pictures this can’t be said at this location, the pictures are accurate but don’t do the lodge justice, it felt larger than the pictures could convey.

Cliff was very informative and helped us plan our trips based on recommendations and did not disappoint, he checked in on us at arrival and at times throughout our stay which was a lovely opportunity to ask more questions and get to know him and Dexter. Site is clean, quiet and it felt like time actually stood still whilst there, it was so calm and peaceful and felt like home from home.

The property owner Cliff made us extremely welcome on arrival, and throughout our stay.

Highly recommended for a quite relaxing holiday. Lodge was fitted to a high standard.

The Lodge itself was spotless. So clean. If you are looking for a relaxing place to go this is the place for you. Really quiet. The owner is friendly and helpful. Couldn't do enough for us. We will 100% be going back!!

We spent just under two weeks at Cornfield, a real home from home.

A very quiet and relaxing location with the added bonus of a hot tub. Cliff and his team were very friendly and welcoming. We will certainly be booking for another stay the next time we are in the uk.

We've just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at Cornfield Lodge.

The lodge is in a quiet, peaceful location and sits next to just one other cabin. It is clean, cosy and well maintained. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you need, including dishwasher tablets etc. The lodge is spacious and inviting. The hamper on arrival was a lovely surprise, filled with tasty treats. The owner, Cliff, is friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We spent a lot of time exploring whilst away and took in the coastal towns of Saltburn, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The large, covered hot tub is a big positive, and great to relax in after a day out. Our only tiny niggle was the mattress on the double bed. We like a firmer mattress and it was very soft and tricky to get comfy on. I swapped and slept in one of the single beds, which have much firmer mattresses. This may be a personal preference though and others may have no issue at all. Overall, a brilliant break away. I would definitely recommend.

The superb quality coupled with its private landscaped location and cosy warm comfort in frosty February and generous facilities and much appreciated 'Welcome Hamper' with a fabulous ' always ready' Jacuzzi is a credit and compliment to Cliff , our gracious friendly helpful host . He certainly goes the extra mile in making sure your stay is special . Our one week stay passed to quickly and recommendation is easy to make . Many Thanks Cliff .

Brilliant place highly recommend

Spent new year here with my partner and 2 children we absolutely loved it.

The lodge is gorgeous super clean and cosy. The area so peaceful lots of lovely places to visit. Lots of nice pubs with beautiful food. The hot tub perfect we spent most of our nights in there. The games room across from lodge brilliant the boys spent a lot of time in there and was very safe. We will be back hopefully in summer get some use of the bbq. The owner even did some fireworks New Year’s Eve which were fabulous we really enjoyed them. Was super relaxing just what we needed. Recommend willow beck for food. Saltburn by the sea was nice lovely beach with a gorgeous fish chip shop and lovely views off the cliffs. Cannot wait to come back.

Absolutely brilliant place so relaxed and lovely views so quiet and peaceful, cliff is a great and knowledgeable bloke we already booked to go back cant wait to to get in hot tub with a morning brew watching the sun come up happy days

We loved our week at Cornfield Lodge and can only repeat what other guests have said.

Everything is so peaceful and relaxing, it was difficult to drag ourselves away. And the beds are so comfortable! The lodge has everything you need for a self catering stay and Tesco in Northallerton is only about a mile down the road. Cliff is a lovely man, very helpful but not intrusive. And off course, we must mention his new puppy Dexter who is gorgeous! A couple of tips, if you can't find any baking trays, they're in a drawer under the oven. And if you fancy Helmsley Walled Garden, don't go on a Friday because its market day and there'll be nowhere to park.

We had a fantastic stay from the 26th till 30th August.

Been to lots of lodges but this was the best for the kids to run around and play in the games room. The welcome hamper was fantastic and we even got another bottle of cava off cliff as it was our anniversary.Everything we needed 10/10. Thanks again

After we arrived, we all wanted to get into hot tub, a bit gritty inside, when we got out our double room onsuite shower didn't work!

Got owner out he couldn't fix it & he said with holiday weekend coming up couldn't get anybody out, so I'll have to use 1 shower between 4 of us! Other problems sink in double room wouldn't run away after use very quickly, pipe must be blocked, play cabin lock hard to open up, rusted up owners dog kept coming around our balcony, husband allergic so kept chasing h him away, general maintenance low, we came last year, in another cabin but will not be returning again!

The owner Cliff was so helpful prior the holiday and during, giving us recommendations and the history of the local area. The property itself was in great condition, reallly homely and cosy - some really nice touches such as a welcome hamper as well as having absolutely everything you need (kitchen foil/roll/cling/toilet roll/washing up liquid, washing tablets etc) Fully functional home from home which was great when having a child in tow! The location was set in a beautiful working farm, really idyllic! There was a games room onsite and garden toys etc were all provided too which was great! Highly recommended thank you!!

Wow what a lovely stay.

Gorgeous drive into the property with all the daffodils and freshly cut grass and little animal statues. The underfloor heating was lovely to step into and the lodge was immaculate. So clean with lovely quality bedding and towels. The double bed was however creaky when turning over in fact 1 of us moved to a single bed which was better. The hamper was very generous thank you and Cliff and Phil were very friendly and helpful hosts. Gave us some ideas of the surrounding areas. We visited Thirsk lovely market town and James Herriott Museum in Thirsk. Ripon Cathedral, Jorvik Centre and Train Museum in York (use the park and ride). Everything you can think of was provided In the lodge in the kitchen the utility room the games room. If I had to give any negative it would be that areas of the decking need repairing (I nearly lost the key the 1st day on opening the key safe and an area near the hot tub which when dark could be dangerous). Hot tub was a fantastic bonus after returning from our day trips. Great little mini break

WOW JUST WOW!

From start to finish this lodge and location is amazing. Before the holiday even began anything I needed to ask “cliff” answered and was very helpful. He was kind helpful anything we needed wasn’t a problem, He recommended places to go. We were at the lodge for new year and wow cliff was so kind and gave us a new year treat to go out with a bang. The lodge clean tidy spacious everything you need from cooking to playing games. It had everything you can think of to make sure you had a stress free stay. Hot tub was lovely and warm (can connect music to it just make sure you connect to the right speaker ha ha I didn’t and had it blasting out of another haha) was always checked daily to make sure no problems. Location is amazing, peaceful, relaxing,great views. We didn’t go far while here stayed local northallerton was a 5min drive (if that) plenty of shops pubs, We did go to thirsk about 6 mile away for New Year’s Day dinner. We ate at the “Golden Fleece” and it was absolutely delicious highly recommend this place for some good food. Been HONEST I haven’t been able to put what I think into words because honestly it was just WOW Thankyou Cliff for having us and Thankyou for being an amazing host See you in the future Rosie, Daren & Family

We enjoyed a quiet and restful break. The grounds are immaculately kept. Cliff, the owner is friendly and showed us around the farm, it was lovely to see the one day old Lama and the baby goats. The welcome hamper was much appreciated too. We wouldn’t hesitate to book the lodge again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable base from which to explore the North Yorkshire area.

Enjoyed a 5 Christmas break at Cornfield Lodge and had an amazing time!

The lodge is situated a short walk from Northallerton but still feels nice and secluded. The lodge itself was immaculate and there was everything on hand that we needed during our stay, the underfloor heating is a lovely touch on a chilly winters night. Cliff was on hand with any questions we had (despite being laid up after an operation) and Phillip checked on us and our hot tub daily. We even got to meet the baby goat born on Christmas day! Would definitely recommend if you want a relaxing break. Thanks again Cliff & Phillip I am sure we will see you again soon.

This lodge was terrific.

All the facilities that you would require plus a full sized outdoor spa.It is situated on a working farm but with little to no disruption. The field opposite was being cut while we were there but that was pleasant watching the combine harvester doing its thing. Other than that, it was very peaceful. Cliff, the owner was friendly and made sure we were comfortable at our stay.

Cliff is an amazing host, so helpful by recommending local attractions, he's really friendly & would do anything to help to make your stay a good one. Maxwell the dog is so friendly, we will really miss our daily visits, he doesn't put a paw in the lodge, just comes to say hi. The views are lovely & in such a quiet area. Northallerton is really close by with many shops, restaurants & pubs. We will definitely be going back, too much to do in one week. Thanks Cliff & Phil, we had a great holiday, keep up the great work.

Amazing log cabin, immaculate, clean with good quality furniture.

Comfortable beds with lovely linen. All the kitchen equipment you could need. Lovely, friendly host with friendly dog. Lots to do in area or to just relax in the hot tub. Hot tub is huge with lights and jets, lovely and warm.

Brilliant.

We had been before to this property 8 years ago and were a bit worried the property would be showing it's age but we needn't have worried. It was so clean and well looked after. A wonderful hamper greeted us and Cliff, the owner, well, I could have talked to him all day. He certainly knew the best places to go and was always happy to answer any questions. There were possibly a couple of things I would have liked in the kitchen- baking trays being one- but we managed with what was available and I know that if there had been something we really needed we could have borrowed one from Cliff with no problem. We'd certainly be more than happy to spend future holidays there.

Lovely comfortable log cabin, everything you need for a great stay.

Cliff and Maxwell made us very welcome, will definitely be going back.

The owner, Cliff, went above and beyond to make our stay a good one.

He provided suggestions on where to visit before we arrived - which allowed us to make reservations in advance. He replaced the broken bin, even though we weren't bothered by it at all. He even swapped the feather duvet for a synthetic one which our allergic son needed - and had said he would refund us buying one if he was unable to find one. There are a few minor things that need sorting at some stage - a broken tile or two and the grouting between tiles - but none of these things detracted from the lodge, which was lovely. The living room seats were so comfortable, as were the beds. Loads of DVDs and board games were provided, the hot tub was pleasant, the kitchen was well equipped.

Staying at Cornfield Lodge and the farm it is located at is certainly an experience.

Just go and see, and feed, the llamas, reas, ponies and goats. Brilliant. The lodge facilities can't be faulted, though the hot tub isn't quite as private as some might like, good views over the fields though. Cliff, the host, is a mine of information for if you're in need of places to visit. Northallerton is a really nice nearby town, for shopping, restaurants etc. Plenty of good pubs around for meals. Good base for getting to many places. We visited Knaresborough, a must see, Ripon, Barnard Castle, Whitby, and travelled on the North York Moors Railway. Visited Goathland where Heartbeat was filmed.

The location was great and cliff the owner was full of helpful suggestions of ere to go and what to see.

Enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the farm.

The train station in North Allerton provided easy access to Explore York.

The accommodation was superb, well appointed & had everything we needed & more!

The host was friendly & acknowledgable about the area and made good recommendations! The area was beautiful with plenty to do for all weather conditions. We cannot wait to return.

Just back from our stay at Cornfield Lodge and what can we say.

This is a fantastic lodge hosted by Cliff and his dog Maxwell. Cliff was so helpful in giving us recommendations for activities and walks in the area. His local knowledge is second to none and as for Maxwell, he came to say hello every morning but never stepped foot into the lodge, he's a good boy. The lodge is very well equipped with everything you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and used it everyday. The welcome pack was a wonderful extra including tea, coffee, chocolates and cava. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are in the area.

Absolutely amazing!

! Clean spacious and very relaxing. The hot tub was more than what I expected and used it even in the rain because cliff provides umbrellas. We use the bqq and there was also coal provided too. Bed was comfy and lovely soft towels was provided. There are really good kitchen appliances so you can cook meals. There was also a lovely hamper pack with chocolates and a bottle of cava and tea and coffee. Cliff took the time to tell us all the things we could do in the area and we went to forbidden corner which was recommended for us to go too by cliff and it was such a fun day out. Cliff and dog maxwell made us feel at home. and maxwell well trained and never over steps the boundary of the cottage. Will definitely be returning again!!

Perfect place to relax and enjoy the North Yorkshire countryside.

Lodge was supremely equipped, clean, spacious and comes with the most amazing hot tub. We had the perfect break and well looked after by Cliff and Maxwell the dog. Looking forward to going back again and would firmly recommend to anyone looking for a little bit of peace and quiet in lovely surroundings in a great facility

Absolutely loved our stay at Cornfield Lodge.

Was supposed to be our wedding but cancelled due to Covid-19 and were lucky to get a cancellation at the Lodge. The owner was lovely and gave us lots of ideas of things to do with our 5 year old - we followed his suggestions and had some lovely days out! The facilities at the lodge were fantastic and we loved the hot tub. Great weekend, really hoping to return in the future!

This was a great lodge with everything you expect from a stay.

The owner is great and friendly suggesting places to go etc. The lodge was very clean and additional steps taken during Covid times to make your stay a safe one. Very little distance into Northallerton for supplies (a drive not a walk) with 3 supermarkets, great butchers ands bettys cafe (a little Q due to current times)

Lovely lodge in a a very quiet location.

Everything u needed lovely hot tub to relax in after a day of walking. Cliff was very friendly and helpful. We loved seeing Max (Cliff's dog) every morning he came for a cuddle and a biscuit. Hopefully will book again.

Had a fabulous break at Cornfield Lodge.

We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful views, the perfect place to relax. We explored some lovely local towns as recommended on arrival and took a train to York which was very easy. The hot tub is just fabulous. Everything we needed and more could be found in the lodge - the welcome hamper was a lovely treat! We will be returning in the new year and I am sure again and again after this. Highly recommended holiday. Thank you Cliff, see you soon!

The owner was a lovely man, clearly cares about his guests and went out of his way to help.

Positive Accommodation was good, comfortable, clean as well as having a lot of extras that we very much appreciated.

Owner who was friendly went through the finer details as we arrived which was pleasant. Hot tub was good and was a big attraction for the children. Negative There is a need to carry out some minor maintenance work, things that are either loose, don't work or in need some attention.

Had an amazing time for Christmas what a place to stay far better than we expected cliff and max were so welcoming nothing too much trouble showed us round and shared his knowledge with us such a relaxing place to stay we will be back for certain looking for dates already

Had a lovely comfortable stay at cornfield lodge.

Host was very helpful and accomodating. Had an issue with our heating but Cliff managed to call someone out to get it fixed. He provided us with heaters whilst we waited for an electrician to come. Lovely lodge in a lovely place.

It’s on a working farm and Maxwell their dog is so friendly my two are not 100% with dogs but Maxwell has changed that, they wanted to bring him home. Cliff the owner was so friendly and very informative about the area, and things to do. He let the children go and look at the chicks, lamas and rheas and let them pick up some of the chicks which the children loved. The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was fantastic too. We even got a welcome hamper which was lovely. The children have asked to go back which is fantastic and we will definitely be doing that, we can’t wait

Fantastic log cabin in a great location.

Spent a week hete and was not disapointed. The cabin was set in well kept grounds, the hot tub was a real treat. Cliff the owner was a real gent and nothing was to much for him. He had a great personality and was informative about the local area. We will definitely be back.

Last minute booking for the bank holiday weekend Rachel at sykes cottages was so helpful and found us the perfect place to stay!

Cornfield Lodge was exactly what I was looking for! Cliff the owner was lovely very friendly and helpful and his dog maxwell was great! I would definitely recommend it for a relaxing break hot tub was brilliant brand new and two minutes taxi to Northallerton if you fancy a nice pub lunch and a few beers! Will definitely be going back!

Spotlessly clean and the owner made us feel very welcome.

This is a great property for 4 people as it has the 2 bathrooms which generally you would only get with a 6/8 people property. Temperature easily adjusted to suit us. Location great for both Moors and Dales if you want to explore both. Beds comfy and clean. Problem we had with the shower was fixed on the day we reported it......can't ask for more really.

We had a fabulous week it's in a beautof UK part of the country very peaceful. Cliff the owner was a wonderful host provided a lovely welcome hamper. We enjoyed the hot tub. Lots of places around Northallerton to visit if you pull yourself away from the hot tub. Looking forward to visit again

The lodge itself was spotless and finished to a very high standard with attention to detail being great and the lovely welcome hamper was such a nice touch - would definitely return again

We had a great holiday at cornfield lodge.

Beautiful location and the owner was very friendly and gave us useful information. We visited lots of places and enjoyed every minute! The hot was a bonus and would recommend :)

Cornfield Lodge was a very nice place to stay.

It was very comfortable, clean and in a lovely position overlooking fields. Cliff the owner was lovely, he gave us lots of places to visit. In particular Knaresborough was very nice, with lovely walks along the river with little cafes along the way. Maxwell the dog was a gem! Would definitely visit the lodge again.Thank you.

Although the hot tub blew the trip on a couple of occasions, our host Cliff could not have been more helpful and fixed the problem promptly.

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday with lots of recommendations on places to visit and very good they were too. Superb welcome basket and a very friendly meet and greet poodle. We never return for a second holiday as we like to visit different places but we will be returning to Cornfield lodge in the future.

A great place for relaxing or a great place to explore. The week flew over and we would defiantly return. Just relax.

No every thing was perfect.

Excellent week at cornfield lodge second time this year already booked again for next year plenty to see and do dont have ti travel very far the owner is sooo helpful always there if needed welcome pack the iceing on the cake cabin is such luxury we never want to come home cannot wait to go again next year only been home a day and missing the cabin already

Very comfortable and made to feel welcome by the property owner.

As the cabin is situated on a chicken farm there was an ever present smell from the chicken houses which might put some people off but we were not inconvenienced by this. The free hospitality hamper complete with Champagne was a nice touch.
