Smugglers is idyllic- it’s a beautiful property surrounded by the most amazing views.

Everything you could possibly need is provided and to the highest quality. Steve and Sue are so welcoming and from the minute we walked into this property we felt right at home. 3 sets of French doors all open out onto the prettiest of gardens. We absolutely loved it.

We’ve just returned from an absolutely perfect week at Smugglers.

It’s a very well equipped luxury cottage in an amazing location, surrounded by the beauty and nature of Bodmin Moor. The cottage itself is very spacious and comfortable, with everything you could need for a week away. Fabulous bath and shower, well equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer, high speed internet, great coffee machine and even a washing machine. The south facing garden is wonderful with fabulous wood fired hot tub and a plentiful selection of furniture. Lots of wildlife in and around the garden. We were lucky to have incredible weather during our visit and genuinely didn’t feel the need to leave the property. The enclosed paddock was perfect for dog walks. Can not recommend this enough.

A real Gem for a get away from it all break.

Lots of lovely dog walks and Cornish coast not far away . The cottage has everything you could want or need to complete the perfect holiday.

The most marvellous accommodation, located in nature's beauty.

A get away from it all holiday within an accommodation that offers everything you need for a self catered break. A warm welcome from Steve on arrival, who offered lots of local knowledge to enhance our stay. I can offer no better recommendation than to say we would return in a heartbeat. We absolutely loved our stay and encourage anybody to do the same.

We had a lovely stay!

A lovely quiet location with wonderful scenery. Had everything we needed and the dogs loved snuffling around their private paddock. Highly recommend.

An absolutley Beautiful little cabin on Bodmin Moor.

Stunning moorland and mountain views with complete peace and tranquility. An interesting and beautiful drive to get there through woods and moorland ( plenty of passing places ) but you need a car that can handle a bumpy farm track. We were lucky enough to stay over christmas, so we took our own supplies and had everything on hand to help us create some wonderful christmas feasts in front of the beautiful log burner. We loved the open plan layout. The garden and paddock was fabulous to let the dog off his leash. Also a short drive away were some beautiful riverside walks. Polzeath beach was a 30 minute drive and worth a visit for a winter beach stroll. The owners left us a lovely welcome hamper of cornish goodies and greeted us on arrival, but were not at all intrusive. Was the perfect spot for complete relaxation, we had a truly magical christmas break.

Our 4th visit to Smugglers - we just love it so much!

It is so peaceful and relaxing, with every comfort having been thought of. It is perfect for our reactive dog as it is in the middle of nowhere, with a dog walking paddock, and you can just walk onto the moor from the door, and often see no-one else at all. The hot tub is heavenly - come rain or shine (or storm!) - with beautiful views, and is fab for star gazing. Smugglers is just perfect and we can't wait to visit again!

Fantastic property with everything you need and more.

Comfortable and peaceful, with nothing apart from wildlife, for miles around. Host were on hand if needed but kept themselves to themselves. Only negative was the dirt track lane leading to the property, everything else was perfect.

Steve and Sue have a truly amazing property.

Set in absolutely stunning scenery. Couldn’t have wished for more! No issues recommending this place! Had all the comforts required. So cosy on those wet Autumn

A wonderful place to get away from it all!

The cabin sits in a delightful, secluded garden with stunning countryside all around and scenic walks straight from the door. Spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard, with lots of thoughtful little extra touches. The owner was very welcoming when we arrived. The wood fired hot tub is a lovely addition. One of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Smugglers was the first holiday either of us have had in years and it was fantastic.

The hosts had thought of everything we could have needed and then some. The views were breathtaking and we were surrounded by wildlife and countryside. We had a lovely time and the dogs enjoyed themselves too. We'd love to come back again!

This is an absolute gem!

Stunning views and kept immaculate and equipped with everything you could possibly need on your holiday stay! Beautifully decorated and well thought out. Will definitely be hoping to visit again in the future. Honestly the best stay we have had anywhere. Met the owner on the way in, lovely guy made us feel very welcome. Perfect location, out in the sticks very peaceful and serene beautiful place for walking yet very easy to get back on the grid. Couldn't be happier with our choice.

Smugglers was fantastic with everything you needed and more, ideally situated for walks, some of which were right on the doorstep and wildlife in abundance.

The hot tub looked amazing but unfortunately we didn't get time to use it as there's so much to do just a short drive away. We would definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful accommodation set in a stunning location.

We felt instantly relaxed when we stepped over the threshold. We loved the wood fired hot tub as well, only downside was that we had to leave but we will be back!

We had a wonderful, relaxing time and enjoyed every minute (our second stay officially).

As dog owners we find it hard to find places to stay which suit the dogs and are also high-quality and comfortable. Smugglers met all of our needs and some. Thank you for all the extra touches (from dog treats to hot water bottles) as these made the stay extra special for us.

As you can see, we spent Christmas here and I think it has been the best Christmas ever!

! Smugglers is just perfect! You want for nothing and everything is here, it really is a home from home. Even the dog settles in straight away. It has been so relaxing and special. We've literally been here everyday but one, just enjoying Smugglers itself. Thank you Steve and Sue for the wonderful Smugglers themed decorated light tree and the other Christmas decorations around, making it really special for our break. Such a surprise driving up and seeing the lit up Christmas tree outside, brilliant! Also a big thank you for the Figgy's Christmas pudding and the food items, just so thoughtful. It's boxing day today (our last day sadly) but we're going to try out the hot tub!! A boxing day dip with a difference. We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Smugglers.

We had such a fantastic, relaxing, post Christmas break at Smugglers.

Thank you so much for the festive touches, decorations and edible Christmas treats. Smugglers was set up with everything we needed, we especially appreciated the well kitted out kitchen and the beautiful (and huge!) bath. We also loved the hot tub, especially to enjoy the stars on a clear night. Some gorgeous walks - to Rough Tor and Brown Willy, from Lundy Bay to Port Isaac and Harbour Cove Beach into Padstow. Thank you so much for being wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the future.

We had the most wonderful and intensely relaxing time at Smugglers!

Coming for a few days for my birthday it had absolutely everything you wanted - and more. We loved cosy evenings by the fire and long soaks in the incredible bathtub. We even braved the hot tub twice despite a fairly brutal storm and lashing rain which was a really experience! We headed to Padstow and Rock but also loved simply stepping out of the front door and walking out across the beautiful Moors. Thank you so much for all the thoughtful touches (the doggies very much enjoyed their treats) and we already can't wait to come back!

Had the most amazing stay here at Smugglers this week.

The most relaxed I've felt in months. Cabin is stunning, the surroundings are breath-taking! We mainly stayed in and fully relaxed, but did spend a day visiting Padstow, Rock Beach (a must for your four legged friend!) and also Port Isaac. Thank you to our wonderful hosts, we will definitely be booking again!

Gutted to be going home today - the perfect few days away, even with the wind and rain on Saturday.

Everything we needed and more, from the dog treats and towels, to the welcome treats for the humans. Everything is so well though out and just wonderful little touches/nods to the area. We braved the hot tub and walks across the moor. Perfect location relax and unwind. Thank you!

Cannot put into words how amazing our stay at Smugglers has been.

Our first family holiday with our two frenchies, especially as one is reactive so we have been nervous about bringing him away from home. Smugglers is secluded, secure and luxurious, everything we could have wished for and more. The attention to detail of this property is outstanding. We have had the most amazing day trips out, but have been just as excited to return to this little piece of heaven everyday which speaks for itself. Cannot thank you enough for providing such a peaceful, relaxing environment for us. Will definitely return for future holidays. Thank you Steve and Sue from the bottom of our hearts and cherished memories.

What a beautiful retreat.

We've been awed by the sheer beauty of the moors, the night sky, the nature all night on the doorstep. It's been idyllic - from all the thoughtful touches provided by Steve and Sue, to the incredible massage from Wave Therapy, to a hearty dinner at The Old Inn at St Breward and the countless walks, we're leaving well rested and relaxed. Thank you for allowing us to stay in this beautiful haven you've created and for the extra night!

Just perfect.

There is nothing that we didn't love. The views, the walks, the cottage and of course the hot tub. The paddock was perfect to let our collie run off any remaining energy after some lovely walks. We will be back hopefully soon. Best wishes. P.S. All booked... See you in May!

We couldn't have asked for a better setting to truly relax than this.

It' been lovely! Having walks right on your doorstep is very convenient, the weather has been great to us to enjoy every moment. It has been great to see the swallows busy building their nests, what a delight! Even venturing into the living room for a sneak peak. Having just nature around us has been amazing to really appreciate how lucky we are. Thank you

Smugglers is a very special place! Everything was so wonderful and very, very comfortable. Amazing walks without getting in the car. The dogs loved the garden and the paddock (and the rabbits :) ). Thank you Steve and Sue for making our holidays unforgettable. We have never before stayed in a holiday home that was so well-equipped and offered so much for the dogs :)
