The Townsend, a stylish single-storey lodge nestled in the peaceful countryside on Whitekirk Hill Holiday Park near North Berwick, East Lothian, offers a serene retreat with designated parking just outside and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Built using sustainable materials and finished with a clean, contemporary interior, this pet-friendly escape is designed for families or groups seeking space and simplicity.

Step into the open-plan living area, where natural light fills the room and the seating and dining spaces invite slow evenings and shared meals.

A flatscreen TV provides entertainment, while the kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering, with an oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, dishwasher, and electric kettle; ideal for everything from light breakfasts to hearty dinners.

The lodge hosts three bedrooms: two with king-size beds and one with twin singles, offering flexibility for different group types.

Two bathrooms support group stays, one with a walk-in shower, bath, basin, and WC, and another with a shower-over-bath, basin, and WC.

Complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer are provided for added ease.

Outside, the wood-fired hot tub offers a warming soak beneath the stars, while the garden furniture provides a quiet spot to enjoy the fresh air.

Two dogs are welcome here, each greeted with a welcome pack to start their holiday in style.

Amazing lodge kids loved it and the scenery was great

The property could do with a deep clean as cobwebs were present above in the kitchen.

The oven and grill were dirty and the floor hadn't been cleaned or mopped as after mopping ourselves the water was very dirty. The sofa and chairs were very uncomfortable. On the other hand the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for everyone. The property itself was situated amongst others and just had tracks to each property. The woodfired hot tub was disappointing as it took a long time to heat up. There was a chlorine dispenser but no one as we saw came to check the hot tub during our stay which should be done twice a day. The staff within the leisure complex were not very friendly and unaccommodating.

The lodge was lovely very clean and comfortable and superb walks on site.

Kids loved the soft play and hot tub. Could do with egg cups, a wooden spoon and a sharp knife ( or knives sharpened as could not even cut a pepper). It was very dry and every time a car passed our door there was a big whoosh of red dust that covered everything. The road was busy as it led to other properties and as there was only a narrow bit of grass between us and it. No 10 lodge not suitable for young children or people with lung conditions. Ask for one with space away from Road.
