The accommodation was ideal.
It had all the facilities we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the shower powerful. Lots of great walks in the area.
Gorgeous lodge in a lovely location.
Very clean with all the comfort & equipment you need. Location is great for walking into Keswick. Loved the hot tub. Loved the lodge setting by the river in the lovely holiday village. Beautiful. Cafe on site is lovely but would have liked more choices on the menu than just 2 toasties. Soup had run out. No other choices. It’s a new cafe so this may be why. Despite the lodge being so lovely, unfortunately we often felt uncomfortable on the hot tub patio area due to the low height of the fence between the lodge and the busy K2T walkway. There was a section before the fence started that had lots of gaps in the trees for people on the K2T walkway to look at us. They could also stare in at us over the fence when sat at the patio table. As people walk down the path, heads naturally turn to look at the lodges and as the patio area was exposed we had lots of people looking at us from the walkway. This could easily be solved by putting an extra bit of fencing up. Perfect private lodge if this is done. Would definitely stay at Low Briery again and would love to stay in Hodge Lodge once extra fencing was put up.
The lodge was beautiful and in a great location.
The only downside we found was when it rained at night we had no sleep as I was like someone tap dancing on the roof. I’d suggest some sort of membrane or artificial grass to sort the issue.
