The Woods (Pet)

We really enjoyed the lodge but it was unfortunate to have basically no WIFI the whole weekend, this reduced options and affected my work calls

We arrived a party of four (2a, 2c & 1 dog), for the summer holidays- Monday to Friday.

Never been round here before, what a find! It’s local to several places so is a great base or great to even just stay on site and have a chilled rest. We were in Number 1 with a central living layout and it’s the first lodge from the car park which was handy for unloading from the car. There was ample space in the outside kitchen area with two tables and chairs and outdoor sink - my husband was so impressed with the big green egg that he’s ordered one for home. The lodge was perfect for what we wanted, the hot tub was a great addition to our stay. Our dog even got a dog bed, bowl & blanket to use whilst we were here. We were left robes to use which came in handy for the hot tub. There was daily maintenance on the hot tub to check the levels, everyone we encountered was friendly. I was very impressed with the level of garden maintenance- there was always someone out doing something and everything was well kept. We all enjoyed the mini golf which was included at no cost, next to the G& Tea Restaurant and the outside bar Terrace. Our dog & I loved the dog agility area- just a shame the dog wash facility wasn’t working. We had a small issue with wasps in the outside area/hot tub but this was sorted out by the team on the second day (thank you!). We were so impressed that we rebooked to return in October. We’ve already shared with friends and family so we’ve no doubt they’ll be booking their stay.

Friendly reception. Accommodation was spotless and very clean. Beautiful location and central to travel around. Deffo going back.
