Step through the door and into a thoughtfully designed single-storey space, where the open-plan layout encourages shared moments.

The seating area faces a Smart TV, ideal for catching up on your favourite shows via Chromecast or Bluetooth speaker.

The kitchen, sleek and well-equipped, includes everything from a gas hob and oven to a wine chiller, perfect for preparing meals with ease.

The dining area sits nearby, ready for relaxed breakfasts or evening meals, while the enclosed decking outside invites alfresco dining or a quiet moment with a drink in hand.

Two bedrooms provide comfort and convenience.

The king-size room, which can be converted into a twin, features a Smart TV and an en-suite with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC, and a washer/dryer tucked away for added practicality.

The second bedroom, a double, also includes a Smart TV and an en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board.

Outside, the undercover hot tub offers a sheltered spot to unwind after a day exploring the surrounding countryside.

We had an excellent 4 night stay and would definitely look to return.

Two small points that were based on our comfort only - Sofa's could have been more Lounge based and a little more comfy and the decking parasol could have been larger to cover more area (we visited on a very sunny period so would have liked it to have covered the patio doors/lounge as well), but these our our own personal choices....still FIVE STAR.

The lodge was excellant in the main.

Negatives were sofa cushions lacked support, no instructions about using the cooker. Surprisingly no information about local facilties and attractions. The footpaths are not suitable for anyone with a mobility scooter unless with an off road one, which means I couldn't go through the wood or visit the lakes
