The Wansford (Pet) is a lovely lodge tucked into the peaceful countryside on Rockingham Forest Holiday Park near King's Cliffe, Northamptonshire.
With parking for two cars and enclosed outdoor decking, this single-storey retreat welcomes two well-behaved pets and offers a well-considered layout for families or small groups seeking a relaxed escape.

The open-plan living space flows between the kitchen, dining, and seating areas, encouraging shared moments and easy conversation.
The kitchen is fully equipped, featuring a gas hob, fridge/freezer, wine climate cabinet, Nutribullet, and a coffee machine.
A Smart TV (accessible via Chromecast), Bluetooth speaker, and USB ports provide entertainment.
The lodge hosts three bedrooms: two king-size rooms and a twin room, each with its own flatscreen TV.
All bedrooms benefit from en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, offering privacy and ease.
A cot and highchair are available for hire.
Outside, the enclosed decking area is furnished for alfresco dining or quiet moments in the fresh air, with a hot tub adding a luxurious touch.

Our lodge was clean and the beds were comfortable.
The amount of crockery and cutlery provided was not generous, and there is only one hand towel between two people for a week! (Two bath towels and two robes though). There is no longer a reception office on site, but the maintenance crew come round every morning. The park is very rural and has lovely, well maintained walks - miles of them! We stayed in October and on a sunny day the lodge got quite hot, so in summer it might be difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. We were surprised that the lodges did not have solar panels and possibly air con. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and well worth visiting.
The lodge was huge and lovely and clean.
All the little extras (hot drinks, wine, washing up essentials, toiletries, dog gifts) were really appreciated. As were the fans which helped in the hot weather. The site itself was also wonderful - very peaceful. The cafe/shop was really useful. We had a lovely breakfast there one morning, and several coffee / ice cream stops as well.
