Description
Tucked away beside a gently flowing stream and surrounded by lakes, woodland and wildlife, 2 Streamside is a peaceful, single-storey lodge set within unspoilt Cornish countryside near the village of Lanreath.
Just a short drive from Looe, Polperro, Talland Bay and Fowey, this is a wonderfully private retreat for couples, families, friends and dog owners looking to slow down, switch off and explore Cornwall’s coast from a tranquil base.
The lodge sits within a generous plot, offering a good sense of seclusion, with solar-lit steps guiding you up to the entrance.
Outside, a wraparound deck creates a calm, leafy setting to relax, dine outdoors or sink into the bubbling hot tub beneath the trees, listening to the stream and birdsong rather than traffic.
Inside, the open-plan living space feels bright, airy and welcoming, with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beam and large windows drawing the outdoors in.
Comfortable leather sofas, a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner make this an inviting spot for relaxed evenings in, whether after a beach day or a woodland walk.
Doors open straight onto the deck, creating an easy flow between indoor comfort and outdoor living.
The kitchen is neatly arranged and well equipped for effortless self-catering, from lazy breakfasts to hearty evening meals, with a dishwasher on hand to keep things easy.
A dining table sits close by, perfect for sharing food, conversation and plans for the next day’s adventures.
When it’s time to unwind, two calm and comfortable bedrooms await.
The king-size bedroom offers a restful retreat with a dressing area, armchair and en-suite walk-in shower, while the twin room is ideal for children or additional guests.
A second modern shower room, complete with heated towel rail, ensures everyone can warm up and refresh after coastal walks or countryside exploring.
Beyond the lodge, guests can enjoy gentle walks from the doorstep, nearby gentle trails, plus the South West Coast Path within easy reach.
The surrounding area is rich with places to explore, from the harbour towns of Looe and Fowey to the timeless charm of Polperro.
Family favourites such as the Eden Project, Adrenalin Quarry, Carnglaze Caverns and Porfell Wildlife Park are all close by, while beach lovers can choose from East Looe Beach, Readymoney Cove, Talland Bay, Seaton and Lantic Bay, many of them dog friendly year round.
With its hot tub, peaceful natural setting, cosy interiors and excellent access to Cornwall’s coastline and attractions, 2 Streamside is a relaxed and welcoming lodge, ideal for scenic dog-friendly breaks, low-season escapes by the fire, and memorable holidays at any time of year.

What guests are saying
This place was amazing.
The situation amongst the trees overlooking the river and it was so quiet you could hear the water and the birds and at night the sky was alive with stars. Honestly for a relaxing getaway this place has it all. The hot tub was amazing and the kids lived in there from 8am onwards. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only negative we had was the mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable. We managed to sleep on it but my husband slept on the leather sofa seats on the floor instead. I suggest possibly having a more comfortable bed in that room. Other than that it was perfect. We will absolutely be going back.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at 2 Streamside.
From the moment we arrived, the property was gorgeously presented and genuinely felt like a home away from home. It was beautifully decorated throughout, with so much attention to detail, and was incredibly comfortable. The location gave us a lovely feeling of being secluded and tucked away, while still being in a great setting. The decking area and hot tub are completely private and not overlooked at all, which made the outdoor space feel really special and gave us the perfect opportunity to properly relax. The main bedroom in particular has such a luxurious feel, with lovely furnishings, an en-suite and robes hanging ready to use for the hot tub, which was such a thoughtful touch! We honestly couldn't fault our stay. 10/10 and we would absolutely stay at 2 Streamside again!
We had a lovely mini break at 2 Streamside.
The property was very clean, comfortable and peaceful. The kitchen has everything you need and more, to cook and eat in if you want to. The onsite bar and restaurant are great too. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind.
