What guests are saying
Listing was filled with high expectation.
Upon arrival was met with a tired front door . Walked into to property to find a dirty stained sofa which is very off putting . Carpet in need of a thorough clean , ill fitting and damaged blinds in bathroom area ( you can be seen from outside in bath ). Because of the immediate problems that we was meet with we also noticed , all the marks on the white walls and damaged mirror in the bathroom along with the water damaged drawer there too which would have probably overlooked . Staff gave us a sheet for sofa as a throw over upon request . Needs some TLC . Ashame that some things are overlooked as property does have everything you need . Lovely site to stay on not sure we would recommend to others due to cleanliness issues with sofa and carpet and also the ill fitting blinds .
The place just felt rundown.
Panels on the side of the cabin were detached. Sofa was filthy. Hair in the sink from previous person. It was 'nice enough' but really missed that special feel. We took our 10 month old with us. Very little space for a travel cot which ended up in the living room. So then we were 'relegated' to the bedroom. Cabin was hot during the day and cold during the night. Bed was so uncomfy we actually came home a day early.
Stayed here for a long weekend and it was amazing!
The lodge was better than the photos & so private, the most perfect place to stay!!

Please note that the ponds and surrounding reed beds form an important natural habitat for local wildlife. During the bird nesting season, typically between March and September, the reeds may appear more established than shown in some website photographs.
